As our Homelessness Coordinator - or Welcome and Triage Coordinator - you’ll be the first point of contact for people coming in from the streets. SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

The Role

We are looking for an Executive Fundraising Director to strategically oversee and manage the Fundraising function.

In order to support the increasing level of demand for this work, over the next five years, the fundraising team will embark on an ambitious growth strategy as they look to grow income from £9 million this year to £20 million by 2029, increasing the breadth, depth and number of communities that the charity serves. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy to ensure that children and young people have the best start in life. About You

Join us as a Reconnect Worker and help prevent youth homelessness by supporting young people and families experiencing conflict or crisis. You’ll deliver focused mediation and personalised family support across London—working with young people aged 11–25 in schools, emergency placements, and Depaul services to strengthen relationships, improve communication and reduce the risk of homelessness. Your work will be grounded in detailed assessments, collaborative support planning and strengths‑based interventions that help families rebuild stability and stay connected.

In this flexible, fast‑paced role, you’ll manage a small caseload, work independently across multiple locations and build strong partnerships with schools, local authorities, Nightstop hosts and colleagues across Depaul. You’ll maintain clear, accurate records, contribute to safeguarding processes and advocate for young people when needed. Main Responsibilities:

• Provide direct line management to Community Shop Managers, ensuring clarity of objectives and accountability and assist them in the day-to-day running of their stores.
• Maximise income from the Community Shops in the region by tightly managing expenditure and being innovative in income generation.
• Conduct regular shop visits to monitor performance, provide feedback, and document findings in visit reports.
• Develop and execute an annual business plan for the region and the individual Community Shops.
• Assist with the preparation of budget forecasts and monthly reporting.
• Monitor retail budgets, track expenditures and flag variances.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, financial control, and all operational policies and procedures.
• Process Shop Teams’ petty cash claims and expenses and sign-off timesheets.
• Work with Recruitment and HR teams to fill vacancies and support Community Shop teams.
• Maintain staff and volunteer records – particularly around absence tracking and training logs.
• Work with and support Shop Teams to achieve financial targets.
• Keep up to date with developments in the charity retail sector at the local and national level and use this information to help grow the business.
• Support the Shop Teams in embedding the shops in their local communities.
• Allocate resources within the region and share best practices across the shops to maximise opportunities to achieve budgets.
• Serve as a liaison between Shop Teams and the wider charity.
• Deliver inductions, coaching, and training to Community Shop Managers and Shop Teams.
• Promote a positive image for Family Action among your team.
• Lead on creating high-performing cultures with a focus on customer service, operational excellence, financial control, and delivering budgets and targets (both financial and Gift Aid).
• Maintain P&L accountability for the region, controlling costs and monitoring budgets.
• Contribute to the development of the national Retail Strategy.
• Support on new site acquisitions, refits, and disposals in the region as required.
• Act as a key member of the Retail Senior Leadership Team, supporting strategic decision making.
• Uphold Family Action’s Health & Safety and Data Protection policies, reporting issues promptly.
• Promote and embed Family Action’s Equality & Diversity principles in all work.
• Adherence to Family Action’s Safeguarding policies and processes. 
• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, visiting shops a minimum of once per month and overnight stays as required.

Working closely with the Finance & Resources Director, this newly created role will be a key member of UP’s Finance team, supporting the charity to successfully deliver the charity’s strategic plan. You will provide accurate financial information, robust accounting controls and support for budgeting and programme costing, helping the charity operate efficiently and sustainably.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in charity or not-for-profit finance, confident in accounting software (Xero) and with strong Excel skills. You will be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.

Salary: £24,800 per annum (£31,000 FTE)

Base: This role is primarily remote, with regular travel required to support programme delivery. The successful candidate will typically travel one day per week to Manchester and one day per week to the North East of England to support the delivery of workshops, events and engagement activity. The Regional Project Co-Ordinator will support the planning, coordination and delivery of programmes and initiatives designed to support individuals who have spent part of their childhood in the care system.

Working closely with colleagues, delivery partners and stakeholders, the Project Co-Ordinator will help ensure programme activity runs smoothly and reaches those who may benefit most. The role combines organisational project coordination with hands on delivery, including supporting workshops, events and engagement activity with partners and care experienced people.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

• Oversee the day to day coordination of programmes and initiatives.
• Support the planning and practical delivery of workshops, events and programme activity.
• Attend and assist with the delivery of sessions alongside partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress and adjust activity where required.
• Coordinate delivery partners to ensure services are provided on time and meet the needs of care experienced people.

2. Communication and Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain positive relationships with delivery partners, commissioners, professionals and local stakeholders involved in programme delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, ensuring communication is clear and action points are followed up.
• Prepare and send out project-related communications, updates, and reports to stakeholders.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Adhere to agreed project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, risk logs, and other relevant documents.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, identifying any potential overruns or issues.
• Collect and analyse data/feedback on programme outcomes and evaluate the success of projects upon completion, ensuring outcomes align with the charity’s mission and strategic goals.
• Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness and impact of the programmes/initiatives to commissioners/stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of funding applications, reports, and other documentation for funders.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance project delivery in the future.

4. Budget Monitoring and Reporting

• Liaise with the finance team who will prepare regular financial reports for commissioners.
• Identify and address any financial risks or discrepancies and raise them with the finance team.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.

6. Additional Duties

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other events as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the various programmes and initiatives.
• Work in line with the charity’s ‘Vision and Values’.
• Work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to changing demands.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Manchester and the North East to support programme delivery.

• Proven experience in project management within healthcare, social work or not-for-profit sectors.
