Background to the role
Our Head of People is currently on Maternity leave until February 2027. During this period, we are strengthening the People function and are seeking an HR Officer to support the interim Head of People to deliver effective support while we align our staff and volunteering processes; this role will support both areas with a focus on HR.
Our Operations Coordinator carries out staff recruitment, onboarding and offboarding work. The HR Officer may help with this from time to time, but it won’t be a substantive part of the job.
Job Purpose
Support the Head of People to deliver the charity’s HR and Volunteering functions (People) in line with the organisation’s values and EDI objectives.
This will include improving our ‘People’ processes and increasing the overall efficiency of this area of the organisation.

Key Tasks
People support
Work with the Head of People to:

Respond to HR-related queries from across the organisation, escalating as necessary.

Maintain and update the staff handbook, policies, and procedures ensuring they remain accurate and compliant.

Support the implementation of Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives, including by booking internal/external training sessions and maintaining training records and mandatory training compliance.
HR administration

Employment Details
Contract type
This contracted post is for 21 hours per week (if part-time, working day pattern to be decided).We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.
Location
The post holder will be mostly based at 82 Russia Lane, Bethnal Green, E2 9LU.
Salary
Between £29,340 – 32,430 Plus 5% employer pension contribution. Organisational annual pay award pending
Salaries are based on our salary bands system. This salary range refers to the lowest and top steps of the grade. Salary will progress every year until the top salary is reached.
Holiday entitlement
25 days (pro-rata for part time) of paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. This increases after two years of service to 27 days, and then a further one day per every year of service up to a maximum of 30 days after five years of service. In addition, all employees are entitled to one day off on (or around) their Birthday.

About the role
We’re looking for a motivated and creative Senior Marketing Officer to join Kinship’s Marketing Team to help us reach more kinship carers with our support offer. You’ll bring strong experience in delivering effective, insight-driven digital marketing campaigns across channels, including social media, email, web, paid advertising and content marketing.
You’ll play a key role in delivering integrated marketing campaigns and promoting our services and programmes – including Department for Education-funded training – to kinship carers, referral partners, and professionals across England and Wales.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you’ll plan and deliver impactful marketing activity, create engaging content, and use data and analytics to optimise performance. You’ll also contribute to shaping our marketing strategy by bringing evidence, creativity and best practice from across the digital landscape. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to maximise reach and impact and raise the profile of kinship care while supporting families.
Key responsibilities

Work with the Head of Marketing to develop marketing plans, and have day-to-day oversight of the delivery of these to promote the DfE-funded training and support service to kinship carers, to ensure good take-up of all training events by a diverse range of kinship carers, in line with the programme goals.

Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media - paid and organic, email, SMS, etc.), monitoring and optimising campaigns for greatest impact and testing new approaches.

Produce and oversee content creation for marketing plans and campaigns, delivering high-quality, insight-led and engaging marketing content for different audiences and/or channels, including case studies, blog posts, leaflets, videos, and social media assets.

Plan and deliver creative and innovative paid ads campaigns across Meta, reviewing and optimising throughout, ensuring robust reporting is in place and using analytics and insights to inform future campaigns.

Help embed a new email marketing platform to support the delivery of our email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automated journeys testing and reporting.

Support the delivery of marketing strategies and activities to grow brand awareness and increase engagement with kinship carers and other key audiences.

With the Head of Marketing, work with services teams to understand our target audience, and identify opportunities to integrate Kinship’s holistic support offer - including our peer support service and website advice content/ Kinship Compass - into training marketing activity where appropriate.

Track KPIs and produce regular monitoring reports on marketing performance across channels and, with support from the Head of Marketing, adjust campaigns and plans to optimise impact and make recommendations for future testing.

Manage and prioritise incoming requests from the organisational briefing process for services marketing support, including producing collateral templates in line with brand guidelines, working closely and collaboratively with comms and digital teams.

Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.

Job Summary
This is a three-year National Lottery funded role which will support ReMind’s post diagnosis support team to deliver and further develop a programme of interventions and resources for those diagnosed with dementia, their carers and families in communities in BA2, BA3 and BS31. This role is key to supporting delivery of a suite of annual activities including courses, events, information days and peer support sessions. The post holder will work with the Head of Engagement, Programme Manager and wider project team to contribute towards planning and to deliver support interventions as well as supporting local partnership working, ensuring take-up of interventions and an excellent beneficiary experience.
ReMind UK overview
ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Our contracted NHS Memory Clinic service, private memory assessments and allied activities provide support to people affected. We are currently in an ambitious phase of organizational development increasing our impact through clinical and academic research and our post diagnosis support. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research Institutions, both nationally and internationally and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role which will suit an organised and compassionate individual who loves working face to face with groups and supporting people to live their best life. You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage people in activities ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as carers. As Facilitator, you will use your insight into what works best in supporting those affected by cognitive impairment to support design of our interventions for people diagnosed with a memory condition and those who care for them. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries to deliver accessible, safe and supportive events and course sessions, ensuring that people who engage with the post-diagnosis support programme, connect with others with shared experience, are adequately supported to take part and have fun, and receive appropriate resources to help them to live well with dementia for as long as possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver friendly, stimulating, person-centred interventions on behalf of ReMind UK, including courses in local community venues, seasonal group activities and events and Carers Information Days as agreed with the Programme Manager.
2. Take responsibility for opening up, clearing up and locking venues as required.
3. Manage volunteers during sessions ensuring roles are organized and volunteers briefed on activities and schedule.
4. Facilitate sessions including welcoming participants,, greeting guest speakers, introducing and setting up activities, supporting participants and ensuring everyone is able to fully participate with the support of staff and volunteers.
5. Gather feedback from groups and adjust activities or session content and timings as needed to ensure that interventions are tailored to the group and individual needs and preferences are met.

- Monitor and report on trusts and foundations fundraising performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM.
- Support the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure future projects can deliver strong, funder‑ready impact reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect evidence of impact and evaluate programme performance.
- Support audit processes related to restricted funding alongside the Finance team.
- Use data-driven insights and KPIs to evaluate and refine strategies for maximum impact and return on investment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
- Proven experience in securing and managing trusts, foundations, or similar institutional funding.
- Comfortable working in an environment where systems, processes, and programmes are being built from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems.
- Strong strategic thinking coupled with hands on delivery.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals, cases for support and impact reports.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of return on investment (ROI) and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness, sustainability, and value of fundraising activity.

About you
This is a brand‑new role and an incredibly exciting time to join the team at PDSA. You’ll take the lead in developing a high‑impact prospect research function that underpins a strong pipeline of high‑value donors, trusts, and corporate partners.
In this role, you’ll deliver the insight, analysis, and intelligence that drive income generation, strengthen donor relationships, and shape fundraising strategy—ultimately helping us keep people and pets together when times are tough.
You’ll bring hands‑on experience in building prospect research pipelines, understanding donor behaviour, and using a wide range of tools to identify opportunities. You’re confident working with data, supporting major donor fundraising, and managing due diligence. You’ll also be comfortable navigating CRM systems and research platforms, and skilled at producing clear, actionable reports and briefings that help teams make informed decisions.
Please note that occasional travel will be required to our Head Office in Telford and to our Pet Hospital sites across the UK—typically a couple of times per month.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.
We’re at an exciting time, with a new strategy coming soon, and so we are looking to grow our Research Funding Team. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Grant Manager to help us deliver our core funding schemes and embark on new, exciting initiatives to fund ground-breaking research that will revolutionise how prostate cancer is diagnosed and treated.
You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of around a third of our active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them through the application process and providing them with guidance about remit and eligibility. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll work with our Senior Research Officers to make sure our funding schemes run smoothly, to time and support our funding Committees in their review of the applications we receive.
What the job involves
It’s crucial that we not only have fair and robust processes to ensure that we fund the very best research, but that we also closely monitor and support the delivery of the resulting projects, to maximise their impact and accelerate the advancements we see through research. Which is why we’re looking to appoint an experienced Grant Manager to join our Research Directorate.
As part of your responsibilities, you’ll manage a portfolio of our active research grants, closely monitoring their progress and finances, and provide valuable support and advice to our grant holders and their teams. You’ll develop a detailed understanding of the science behind these projects and build positive working relationships with the researchers and their institutions. You’ll monitor your portfolio for demonstrable outputs (publications, presentations, intellectual property etc.) and you’ll work closely with colleagues in other teams to help them better understand the research we fund in order to showcase this to our supporters and potential donors.
You’ll support the delivery of our research funding grant schemes, managing at least one of our grant rounds, whilst also supporting our other funding schemes, ensuring that we maintain robust processes and adhere to industry and department standards. You’ll also help direct on our activities to involve people with experience of prostate cancer in research, including their involvement in the assessment of the research proposals we receive, as well as supporting researchers to include patients in the design and delivery of their projects.

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
