Salary: £38,300
Shift Pattern: Permanent 37.5 hours per week contract, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per resident and service requirements, this includes forming part of our out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the Role
We are seeking a Service Manager to lead our women's service based in Brighton. In this role you will support your team to deliver person centred care and support to residents whom reside within our refuge accommodation which includes women and children surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma. We are looking for someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children to join our Brighton service. You will be a natural leader, able to support a team with your knowledge and experience to provide the best support to the residents, through empowerment and upskilling.
The service provides a much needed safe space and support for women to feel empowered in their healing journey and to feel secure in their independence, strength and skill. The successful candidate will support in leading the service and will develop their team which consists of support mentors and children and family workers. We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle, fostering a supportive leadership culture focused on staff wellbeing, learning, and development

About You

- Previous leadership experience, and ability to take responsibility for the full service, ensuring service outcomes, KPI's and requirements are met.
- Demonstratable experience in leading a service/team in a similar capacity.
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs
- Experience working with domestic abuse and the systemic barriers faced by women.
- Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff.
- Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
- Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries
- Ability to promote the service externally to enhance reputation in the area and with partner organisations
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands and needs of the service. For example, Provide an emergency on call service as and when required in case of emergency
- IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software.

SoundCafe Leicester is a small, friendly and ambitious charity which gives people who are homeless, vulnerable or socially isolated a regular opportunity to sing, be creative, meet people and feel part of a community.
Our weekly sessions make a real difference to the people who attend. In 2024 we were honoured to receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
We are now looking for a Part-Time Manager to help us build on that success.
What will you do?
Working with our trustees, volunteers and partner organisations, you will help SoundCafe to:
● manage and develop our weekly creative cafe;
● support and encourage our volunteers;
● build relationships with partner organisations and funders;
● identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant applications;
● help develop SoundCafe;
● liase with, and support, the professional musician who leads our choir
● ensure our activities are well organised, inclusive and responsive to the people we support; and
● keep the trustees informed and involved
It is a varied role, with plenty of opportunity to use your existing skills and to develop new ones.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, capable and committed to making things happen.
You will need good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and experience of managing people, projects, activities or services.
Most importantly, you will need to care about what SoundCafe is trying to achieve and be comfortable working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
You don’t need to have done everything before; just have a foundation we can work together and build on.
Experience of the charity or voluntary sector, working with vulnerable adults, volunteer management, fundraising or grant applications would be useful, but these are desirable rather than essential.

You will be supported by an experienced and approachable Board of Trustees, with expertise including HR, employment law, finance and governance. We can provide guidance and mentoring where appropriate and help you develop your knowledge and responsibilities as you grow into the role.

This is a varied part-time role at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the CEO to provide high-quality executive support and help coordinate governance, projects, organisational priorities and key operational activity.

We are looking for an experienced people manager who has a passion for supporting individuals, families and communities through mental health crises. An exciting role that allows you to help shape the service, you will work to increase reach and drive quality through a strong collaborative approach. A new service in the area, Wigan Crisis Space provides a safe space for those experiencing mental and emotional distress, and suicidal ideation. Forming part of the Greater Manchester VCSE crisis pathway, we are an out-of-hours, non-clinical alternative to A&E for adults to access timely compassionate support from trained recovery workers – the service operates from 3pm to 10pm, 7 days a week.
Salary - £40,300 FTE per annum
Hours – 37 hours per week (full time) including out of hours and weekend management cover, and support on a rota basis.

As the Service Manager, you will have a strong knowledge of the mental health landscape and a strong track record of effective management. You will have responsibility for two Team Leaders as well as overall leadership of the staff team (totalling 8). You will work closely with other service providers, as well as our Operational Manager, to offer first-class support for Wigan residents.
Main responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and management to the staff team to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective and appropriate service to adults living within the Borough of Wigan.
• Ensure that the service is integrated, comprehensive and makes a difference to people using it, with clear focus on improving mental and emotional health and wellbeing as well as social outcomes - meaning that people will be healthier, safer, more resilient, and better able to enjoy life’s opportunities.
• Facilitate opportunities for staff, volunteers and people who use the service to contribute to the ongoing development of the Crisis Space by sharing learning, listening and sharing and responding to feedback.
• Create and implement a continuous development plan for the service to ensure it delivers quality support for Wigan residents.
• The Crisis Space is an out of hours service that operates from 3pm – 10pm, 7 days per week. This post will require a minimum of two shifts per month during the week from 2pm to 10pm (on site) and two shifts per month during the weekend from 2pm to 10pm (on site).

About the Role
This Youth Development Mentor for young men is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will build trusted, consistent 1-1 mentoring relationships with young men, supporting them to grow in confidence, work out what they want, and build the skills to get there.
You will deliver the programme's set mentoring offer, adapting your approach to individuals as needed, alongside group sessions on skills and personal development. Many of the young men we work with have had negative experiences of school or other services and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The role is about helping the young men move forward at a pace that works for them, towards something they've chosen and can stick with, rather than pushing them down a set route. You will keep detailed records of progress and milestones reached.
You will also play a role in outreach and community engagement – building relationships with families and community members. This includes keeping up good working relationships with colleges, training providers and employers, and making sure young people's voices are heard, both within Bright Futures and externally.
This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
About You
This role is for someone who wants to make a real difference in young people's lives – someone committed to supporting young men from marginalised and underserved communities to get equitable access to opportunities, and to helping bring about wider change for those communities.
You will enjoy the challenge of working with young men who may take time to trust and engage, and see that as part of what makes the role rewarding.
The role is ideal for someone with experience of mentoring, youth work or a similar community-based role working with young men (paid or voluntary). Someone patient, non-judgemental and comfortable adapting support to suit the person in front of you. You will be just as comfortable speaking to family members as with college staff or social services.
We don't expect you to already have all the answers – what matters most is your commitment and ability to build genuine, trusting relationships and to keep going with young people who may take time to open up. We will support your development through supervision, training and a small, collaborative team environment.

London Gypsies and Travellers (LGT) challenges social exclusion and discrimination, working for change in partnership with Gypsy and Traveller communities living on council caravan sites, roadside camps, in flats and houses, and those experiencing homelessness.
Bright Futures supports Gypsy and Traveller young men and women aged 15–25 through mentoring, skills development, employability and wellbeing support. The programme helps young people build confidence, develop practical skills and identify realistic pathways into training and employment, working at their own pace and around their needs and interests. The programme is shaped by a deep understanding of the Gypsy and Traveller culture, and designed to empower young people to engage with wider society with pride, motivation and confidence.

About Pathfinder West Sussex
As a Mental Health Service Manager, you will be working for a people-led organisation whose mission and values is to inspire change across Sussex. Pathfinder West Sussex is a partnership of mental health, homelessness and employment support organisations working together to improve people’s wellbeing across the county.
Co-production is at the heart of everything we do. This role will be instrumental in supporting staff and subcontractors to embed co-production principles and continuously enhance the way we deliver services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expert guidance on co-production across Pathfinder services, including line management of the Lived Experience Lead and partnership working with lived experience colleagues across West Sussex Mind.
- Provide lived experience representation on strategic groups and forums.
- Lead on the collection and analysis of client feedback and outcomes and link with SPFT lived experience groups and the West Sussex LEAG.
- To support the Senior Manager in delivering the strategic direction of the service, ensuring service development and continuous improvement are informed and shaped by lived experience perspectives.

To be successful in the role of Mental Health Service Manager, you will need to have great communication skills and be committed to the values of the organisation. Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:
- Lived experience of mental health challenges and a track record of using personal experience to support continuous service improvement.
- Experience of representing for client views or experience as a group facilitator or Peer Mentor.
