Operations Manager – Responsive Repairs
The Operations Manager – Responsive Repairs is the operational lead for responsive repairs services within the Asset Delivery function and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, performance and continuous improvement of responsive repairs across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Asset Delivery, the postholder provides operational leadership and strategic oversight of Local Space's Responsive Repairs, Voids, Legal Disrepair and Insurance, and Healthy Homes services, ensuring they are customer-focused, efficient, compliant and deliver excellent outcomes for residents.
The role is accountable for delivering high-performing repairs services that meet organisational objectives, statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements while driving value for money, service improvement and operational excellence. The postholder will lead the organisation's response to legal disrepair, insurance claims, damp and mould, and compliance with Awaab's Law, ensuring risks are effectively managed and robust assurance is provided to the Executive Management Team, Committees and Board. Leading a team of Contracts Surveyors and Asset Delivery Officers, the postholder will provide strategic direction, performance management and professional leadership across multiple service areas. About the role

You will support the delivery of UK100's research programme, helping to design and deliver projects that generate practical insights for local government. From conducting desk research and stakeholder interviews to producing reports, you'll help turn evidence into actionable recommendations that support ambitious climate action.
You'll also play a key role in translating research into policy and advocacy, through monitoring policy developments and helping to coordinate member networks and working groups. You'll lead on tracking the impact of our programmes by gathering evidence and maintaining organisational knowledge and data systems.

About the Role
We are looking for a Chief Operations Officer to lead the operations team, join the management team and support the CEO. Your priorities will be to oversee all fundraising, including campaigns, major donors and grant applications. You will oversee the HR of the organisation, including recruitment and disciplinaries. In partnership with the CEO and finance officer you will be jointly responsible for finance within the organisation. You will manage the facilities manager and administrator, ensuring that processes are followed appropriately and the building is maintained in good condition, ensuring we fulfil all legal requirements.
About You
You will be a senior manager who has energy and drive as well as sound judgement. On top of a strong track record in an operational position, you will have the breadth of experience to lead HR and systems, finance, monitoring and evaluation and fundraising. You will have experience in fundraising and funder management and be able to lead on making funding applications and reporting to funders. You will be a clear, analytical thinker who will strengthen the leadership of our charity. You will be an excellent manager of people. Finally, you will be excited about working in an organisation with a unique mission that strives to make a difference in the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in London.
