We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Community Fundraiser to join our Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Team. This is a hands-on, varied and relationship-led role where you’ll build meaningful connections, deliver engaging fundraising initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with fundraising experience who wants to contribute directly to the charity’s income and see the real impact of their work within the community.
About the role
Reporting to the Events and Engagement Manager, you’ll coordinate and deliver a range of community fundraising initiatives that contribute directly to Big C’s income targets.
A key focus of this role is responsibility for developing and growing our Regular Giving and Legacies income streams. You’ll nurture supporter relationships, promoting long-term giving and legacy pledge opportunities to help ensure these vital areas of income continue to grow.
Alongside this, engage with local groups and organisations helping to deliver activities that inspire individuals and communities to get involved. You’ll act as a visible ambassador for Big C, representing the charity at events and cheque presentations. This is a proactive role that combines relationship-building, income generation and coordination — ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community while keeping everything organised behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver community fundraising initiatives that directly contribute to agreed income targets
- Take ownership of Big C’s Regular Giving and Legacies fundraising activity, driving engagement and income growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, local organisations and community groups
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and support the development of agreed campaigns and activities
- Provide tailored support to third-party fundraisers to help maximise their fundraising potential

Reporting to the Head of Community Programmes and Partnerships you will work across Woodgreen’s Community Programmes and wider Pet Services directorate to ensure external relationships are coordinated and effective, strengthening collective capability and supporting the organisation’s long-term mission and impact. This will include working with organisations that support pet owners through referral pathways, collaboration and aligned activity, as well as building relationships that enable Woodgreen’s national expansion by supporting others to adopt approaches aligned to our model.
By establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships that strengthen how support for pet owners is enabled in practice, your work with community outreach operational partners will support shared ways of working whilst developing broader strategic relationships that grow Woodgreen’s national reach and influence over time.
If you have;
- Significant experience in developing, managing, and sustaining effective relationships with external organisations in an operational or delivery-focused context.
- A track record of recruiting, onboarding, and working with partner organisations across a range of relationship types, including informal arrangements, memoranda of understanding, and more formal agreements.
- Experience setting and maintaining shared expectations, standards, or frameworks with external partners, and supporting partners to work effectively within them.
- A strong understanding of effective partnership and relationship management in complex, multi-agency or cross-sector environments.
- The ability to establish and maintain credibility with a wide range of stakeholders, balancing collaboration, support, and appropriate challenge.

This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours a week on a hybrid basis with the expectation that our successful candidate will work from our Godmanchester site for approximately 2 days a week dependant on business need. Applications from candidates looking for a part time role of 30 hours a week will also be considered. The starting salary for this position will be £35,598 - £43,507 per annum depending on experience (pro rata'd as applicable for a part time opportunity). This is complemented by;
- 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years (pro rata'd for part time position)

We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and experienced manager to provide leadership of a variety of exciting and innovative environmental projects and improving EPIKS’ long-term sustainability through both effective delivery and securing future workstreams.

Background
At EPIKS we are passionate about finding local solutions to environmental problems that are integral to our concern for effective climate action. We work with a range of partners to improve the environment: promoting biodiversity, active travel and a sustainable economy to make Kirklees a better place to live and work. EPIKS is run by four volunteer Directors and a small, dedicated team of part time staff.
We are at an exciting phase of development, with new projects to deliver on improved access in and around the Colne and Upper Calder Valleys and sustainable transport. EPIKS has recently expanded our volunteering programme and community engagement activities. We have also established a firm foundation for our active travel projects and the Walk Wheel ride brand, increasing our partnership with Network Rail.
These run alongside continuing work on greenspaces in local nature parks, enhancing biodiversity, promoting environmental volunteering and delivering walking, cycling and wheeling activities – all of which involve collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
To achieve success in all these areas we need a Chief Executive to lead in developing a roadmap for our existing and future funded core projects. You will help co-ordinate work across the range of our projects and support initiatives to secure future funding.
In striving to improve our engagement with volunteers, supporters, funders and the wider public, we need an innovative, experienced communicator to lead on this critical part of our work.
The position involves working flexibly over 22.5 hours per week. There may be opportunity to extend the hours depending on funding success. The post will require some evening, weekend and bank holiday working.

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy (Health), and working in a team of major gift fundraisers, you will be responsible for securing six-figure gifts across a range of life-changing priorities spanning students, research and innovation. This post will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health to deliver major gifts into priority areas including cancer, brain health and health inequalities. 1. Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the talent acquisition strategy, with a strategic focus on digital optimisation, to ensure improving placements for both UK and overseas roles.
- Oversee and deliver all employer brand initiatives and recruitment campaigns including hiring events to drive candidate engagement and boost our employer brand.
- Build diverse candidate pools, and create initiatives to attract and retain diverse talent.
- Develop and analyse our recruitment metrics, and use your knowledge, market insights, numbers and analysis to continually refine and improve the talent acquisition process using a data-led approach.
- Offer a clear, supportive and innovative voice in interactions with international colleagues to streamline processes and ensure seamless, effective collaboration.

2. Transactional Recruitment Management
- Create and deliver an annual international recruitment action and promotional plan
- Work in close collaboration with our marketing team in the promotion and delivery of recruitment advertising including online/offline and social media campaigns and analysing results to inform planning and performance improvements. Ensure that the recruitment message remains central throughout our range of communications activities and that our voice is clear, compelling and interactsand synergizes seamlessly with our existing central campaign operations
- Monitoring, reviewing, and developing the recruitment pages on our website to maximize engagement

- Raising awareness and leveraging team support for recruitment initiatives
- Establishing, developing, and sustaining collaborative relationships with key external bodies e.g., Christian bodies within the aviation industry, armed forces, and universities
- Selecting, training, and managing a network of volunteer recruitment champions, increasing the scale of our capacity to support at events and build a greater presence in the community specifically from a recruitment perspective
- Designing and implementing approaches to encourage greater diversity with applicants
- Demonstrating a data-led approach, monitoring recruitment statistics and measures to inform decision making, identify issues and prepare management information reports.
5. Partnership
- Building strong relationships with the MAFI recruitment team and proactively sharing resources, experience, and expertise with Engagement Units
- Member of the MAFI Recruitment Steering Group
- Establishing or contributing to recruitment learning circles with other Engagement Units
- Support efforts to integrate into one global entity from a recruitment perspective
- Contribute to the launch and maintenance of the Mission Aviation Academy, to continue to enhance our employer brand around our training schemes and ensure a sustainable funding pipeline for them for the future
6. Management
- Overall management of the relationship portfolios and specific management of ‘Premium’ enquirers portfolio
- Line manage, coach, develop and champion the Talent Acquisition Officer
- Participating in MAF UK organisation development initiatives and policy review

- Lead on the overall management and administration of the Applicant Tracking System

8. Travel
- This role will involve some travel within the United Kingdom, particularly around the events season.

As Assistant Manager – Client Services, you’ll be at the forefront of this work. You’ll:

- Use data and insights to shape services and continuously improve client experience

The charity has been supporting children, young people and families for over 25 years through a range of play, family support and youth programmes. Their Ofsted-registered after-school and holiday play schemes provide children aged 4–11 with safe, engaging and nurturing environments to explore, grow and thrive.
As Deputy Play Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role within the play service, helping to design, deliver and evaluate a high-quality programme of activities. You’ll support the Play Manager in day-to-day operations (including managing enquiries/collection of fees), team management and ensuring compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards.
This is a hands-on role combining leadership, planning, and active delivery — you’ll work directly with children and families to create safe, inclusive, and stimulating play environments.
About You
Essential skills and experience:
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Playwork, Early Years, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working directly with children aged 4–11.
