As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will join an incredible team and support them to encourage sales, provide excellent customer service, and uphold the highest standards of stock presentation and store cleanliness. 

You will be responsible for:    

• Assisting the Retail Manager in maximising sales by maintaining high standards of display and layout, ensuring proper stock rotation, and securing realistic pricing on donated items. 

• Merchandising awareness and making sure you are keeping up to date with trends and competition. 

• Maximising Gift Aid income and oversee the proper display and administration of bought-in goods, ensuring minimal stock loss. 

• Customer engagement and leading by coaching volunteers and staff to have great conversations with every customer on" Rounding up" their purchase, making an "add donation" for our charity and signing up for our loyalty scheme.

• Engaging with the community to drive repeat custom, stock donation, volunteer recruitment and community involvement.

• Supporting the Retail Manager in recruiting and managing volunteers and ensuring all staff and volunteers are following Marie Curie procedures and guidelines. 

• In the absence of the Retail Manager, taking responsibility for the overall management and operation of the store.

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

As leaders within Get Further, our Programme Managers play an important part in managing the delivery of our tuition programmes and the growth and development of the organisation. The successful applicant will take over the case load of one of our Programme Managers while she is on secondment to another project. The key outcomes for this role are: 

• Team: Directly line manage a team of 3-6 Programme Coordinators and Salaried Tutors and be accountable for the management of tutors within your colleges, contributing to Get Further as a whole meeting or exceeding our programme delivery KPIs 
• FE partners: Achieve high FE partner satisfaction by delivering a high impact programme and developing strong relationships at multiple levels with our existing and prospective FE partners.  
• Strategy and organisational development: Lead strategic projects and priorities as needed to develop the organisation, programmes and programme delivery. 
• Project: Work closely with the Head of Resits Tuition Programme to support in the medium-term implementation of the EEF RCT. 

As Get Further is a rapidly growing organisation, you will be encouraged to find new solutions to operational challenges and suggest better ways of working where possible, and you will be encouraged to take on bigger projects and carve out areas of responsibility for yourself depending on your interests.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

The successful candidate will be an accomplished professional, with experience of working effectively in the education sector, or at manager / senior officer level in a programme management role. They will build positive, supportive relationships with college teachers, team members, tutors, and wider stakeholders. They will be a constructive and pro-active manager of people, with a commitment to delivering excellent standards within their team. 

Programme Coordinators 

You will be responsible for line managing a team of 3-6 Programme Coordinators to deliver a high impact programme that achieves or exceeds Get Further’s organisational KPIs. To achieve this, we expect you will: 

• Hold PCs to high standards of programme delivery 
• Build an effective and high performing PC team 
• Play an active role in ensuring that the programmes team as a whole is on track to meet or exceed programme delivery KPIs
• Support PCs with their professional development 

Tutors 

Our tutors are instrumental to us delivering a high-impact programme. You will be accountable for the overall high performance of the tutors delivering tuition within the FE partners for which you are responsible. To achieve this, we expect you will: 

• Support and hold PCs to account for the frontline management of tutors and lead tutors 
• Resolve or further escalate tutor performance management issues that PCs have escalated as per the Tutor Performance Policy 
• Ensure that performance management issues are effectively tracked and made visible to the CPO and work with the CPO and wider Executive team to resolve persistent issues 
• Along with Curriculum Managers, lead the design and delivery of tutor training, ongoing tutor development, and the tutor community work 

FE Partners 

You will be responsible for delivering high impact programmes with Get Further’s FE partners, including ensuring that we achieve programme quality and impact KPIs and developing strong relationships at multiple levels within our FE partner. To achieve this we expect you will: 

• Line manage a team of PCs to deliver a high impact programme 
• Proactively build high quality working relationships with staff within our FE partners 
• Understand college needs and concerns so that we can proactively address them during programme delivery 
• Proactively look for ways that we can work more closely with colleges and demonstrating our value to them and commitment to the FE sector 
• Lead the preparation of college level impact reports and ensure the ongoing effective capture of impact data, testimonials and case studies to support report creation 

Strategic projects and priorities 

Get Further is a fast-developing charity, as a member of our small but mighty team we want our programme managers to be true leaders within the organisation, playing an active role in shaping and developing the charity into the future. 

• Over the course of the year, we work on various strategic projects and priorities to advance the overall running of Get Further and you may have the opportunity to take a leadership role in these. 
• You will have opportunities to engage and provide input, as well as your own project ideas, at an Exec and Board level on Get Further’s longer term strategy and direction. 

Sales 

• Collaborating with the Head of Resits Tuition Programmes to support and engage in sales activities to ensure Get Further meets growth goals related to college partnerships and student numbers, while securing new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion. In the medium-term these goals will be closely tied to the requirements of the EEF RCT. 
• Support in achieving KPIs with regards to college sales and renewals by email outreach and holding meetings. 
• Lead renewal conversations with FE partners and support new relationships as needed 

Overall development of Get Further 

As a member of a high-impact and committed team, you will also: 

• Work closely with the rest of the Get Further Team and align with our inclusive and supportive culture. 
• Prioritise Safeguarding and the safety of the young people we work with. Follow every element of the safeguarding policy without fail.

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with the skill for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you’ll be at the heart of our finance department—overseeing everything from general ledger accuracy and treasury management to accounts payable/receivable and VAT returns. You’ll help maintain high standards of professional competence, support internal and external audits, and lead on monthly controls and reconciliations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversight of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
• Responsibility for the monthly control oversight, including internal controls, prompt reconciliations of control accounts, separation of duties, and compliance with proscribed systems of authorisation. This includes the management of existing finance processes and associated process maps and policies.
• Assist in the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP. Liaison with external and internal auditors
• Lead in preparation of the daily cash flow forecast, and preparation of monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual
• Oversee the Purchase Ledger Manager including oversight of the purchase ledger function, ensuring the ledger is kept clean and at an acceptable level, and maintaining the sub ledgers within purchase ledger
• Oversight of the sales ledger function working with the Billings & Contracts Officer.  
• Oversee the Fundraising Finance Lead role, ensuring accuracy of reconciliations between Fundraising and Finance
• Oversight of the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring its accuracy
• Submission of the quarterly VAT returns
• Management of the Charity’s Bank Accounts and Corporate Cards
• A leading role in ongoing development to the Finance systems to drive efficiencies

Overall Purpose of the Corporate Partnernersips and Philanthropy Manager

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role, joining our small and expanding fundraising team.

This new role supports the delivery of our ambitious plans to develop and grow income from corporate partners including pharmaceuticals and major donors.  You will proactively lead on identifying, developing and delivering high and mid value partnerships. Utilising your excellent relationship management, you will think creatively and strategically to develop compelling proposals.

The role holder will work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Chief Executive as we establish, develop, and retain these valued relationships.

Guts UK is looking for a dynamic and strategic Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager with a proven track record of securing high-value support from corporate partners and major donors.

You will be a highly experienced, corporate and/or philanthropy manager with well-developed relationship management skills, excited by the opportunity of shaping, developing and elevating these important supporters for the charity.

The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline. 

This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.

This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).

Main Duties 

Leadership and Management: 

· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth. 

· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches. 

· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.

· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities. 

· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders. 

Oversee and support monitoring submissions.

Fundraising:

· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.

· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.

· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.

· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.

· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams. 

Organisational and General Duties: 

· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity. 

· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process. 

· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).

· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI. 

· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets. 

· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance. 

Communications and Marketing: 

Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging. 

Diversity and Inclusion: 

Promote and support equality, diversity and inclusion, e.g., ensuring that the views and voices of MumsAid’s service users are considered in all aspects of fundraising initiatives, including in the discussions of need and impact.

About You

· Experience of major donor fundraising.

· Ability to bring creative ideas to the table that mirror our strategic direction.

· Financial literacy and management experience, confidence in working with budgets, creating a financial narrative, and working with databases.

· Demonstrably outstanding written communication skills with the ability to write compelling copy, tailored to a range of audiences and platforms. 

· Proven track record of building positive relationships with funders, partners, volunteers, and supporters; you may already have a network of relationships this role could benefit from.

· Articulate speaker, able to present and repackage complex information in succinct and digestible format.

· Microsoft Office proficient, Proficient with Word, Excel and able to put together PowerPoint presentations.

· Ability to develop strategies, operational plans and KPIs in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. 

· Excellent working knowledge of voluntary sector funding streams.

· Excellent teamwork skills but with the ability to work independently. 

· Proactive and confident in using own initiative and prioritising workloads.

Desirable Experience and Skills: 

· Experience of representing an organisation externally, e.g., through presentations, events, conferences. 

· Experience of working closely with communications and/or marketing to optimise fundraising and profile-raising opportunities.

· Experience in using a CRM system to support relationship management and reporting.

As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider financial strategy of the charity. You’ll be hands-on with routine finance tasks, from processing transactions and reconciling accounts to managing invoices and payments and liaising with our payroll provider. You will also lead the systems, reporting and planning that underpins UKMSA’s long-term sustainability and impact.

You’ll ensure our finances are accurate, up-to-date, and well-documented, providing clear reporting and insight to support confident decision-making. Alongside the day-to-day work, you’ll prepare management accounts, forecasts and budgets; oversee both restricted and unrestricted income; produce year-end accounts and the annual financial report; lead the annual budgeting process; and provide trusted financial advice to colleagues and trustees to keep us on track with our strategic goals.

UKMSA exists to support the vitality, creativity and sustainability of Men’s Sheds, and to amplify the voices and impact of Shedders. As Finance Manager, you’ll work in partnership with the Director of Income and Investment, playing a key role in making sure UKMSA is financially secure, transparent, and able to increase and develop our support for the Shedding movement.

This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone with a recognised accountancy qualification and experience in charity finance. You’ll be confident using AccountsIQ (or similar systems), able to manage detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, and comfortable explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues. If so, we are delighted to announce that we are recruting for a Senior Operations Manager role. MannionDaniels seeks a bi-lingual (French/ English) Senior Operations Manager to support the delivery of Gavi’s new fund to strengthen engagement with CSOs and local partners across 14 countries through up to 60 grants.

MannionDaniels have been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

iii. Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and local partners to implement contracts/grants effectively and efficiently.

iv. Contribute to a conducive partnership, a joint vision and clarified collaboration modalities between governments, and civil society and local partners,

v. Help roll out HPV vaccination; and

vi. Robustly evaluate the contracts/grant with CSOs and local partners to capture learning and ensure course correction as required.

The Senior Operations Manager supports the implementation of effective and efficient activities to deliver the Gavi project in accordance with international standards, best practice and donor expectations. The role reports to the Deputy Team Lead- Gavi and is responsible for consistent implementation of systems and procedures. The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to support our culture of continuous improvement.

A strong operational background in international development, including extensive field experience, and excellent project management skills are essential for the role. The Senior Operations Manager will manage a medium sized team and occasional overseas travel may be required.

The Training Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the FFLM’s external training portfolio. This proactive and outward-facing position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training solutions that meet the evolving needs of professionals in the forensic and legal medicine sectors. The role involves scanning the external landscape to identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities where the FFLM can lead by providing innovative, sector-leading education and training. The Training Manager ensures that all offerings align with the FFLM’s strategic goals, uphold its reputation for excellence, and support professional development across the field.

Royal Economic Society (RES) is the professional membership body and learned society for the study and application of economics. The RES has been at the forefront of advancing economic knowledge globally since 1890 and has been foundational in building capability and excellence in the profession. With over 3,000 individual members worldwide and a dozen organizational members, we are one of the oldest economic associations in the world.  Increasingly we are focused on improving the public understanding of economics through engagement with schools and the wider public. The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping the RES achieve its strategic goals by developing, building and sustaining partnerships to deliver external funding. The individual will manage existing relationships, identify opportunities, lead bid writing, develop compelling funding proposals, and build relationships with funders, partners, and philanthropic donors.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and bid development

• Identify and secure new sponsorship and partnerships opportunities to support existing RES activities
• Seek funding for new activities in line with the Society’s goals.
• Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective partners including funding bodies, trusts and foundations, sponsors, major donors, corporates, universities and others.
• Write high-quality, persuasive funding bids and proposals, working with RES staff, trustees, and partner organisations.
• Develop cases for support, theory of change frameworks and budgets to underpin funding applications.
• Respond to calls for funding with tailored and timely applications that align with funder interests and the Society’s strategic priorities.
• Work closely with colleagues on the delivery of the funded activities, where appropriate overseeing these directly.
• Work closely with colleagues to identify priority initiatives that require external funding to proceed and maintain a clear pipeline of funding needs across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain RES group and institutional memberships.

Business Development and External Engagement

• Monitor trends in research funding, philanthropy, and corporate partnerships relevant to economics and learned societies.
• Horizon-scan and build a pipeline of future fundraising opportunities.
• Represent RES externally at funder meetings, networking events, and partnership development discussions.

Internal Collaboration and Capacity Building

• Work closely with colleagues shaping and costing funding proposals and ensure bid quality and compliance
• Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues on funding opportunities, bid development, and funder expectations.
• Work with finance colleagues to ensure accurate invoicing, renewals, and financial forecasting.

Reporting

• Monitor performance against income and other targets and report regularly to the Chief Executive and Board.
• Prepare briefings, proposals and reports for Board and committee meetings.

Other

• Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities commensurate with the role and as reasonably requested.

Person Specification

Essential Skills

1. Proven experience of successful fundraising, bid writing or business development, preferably in a learned society, research organisation, professional body or in higher education.
2. Understanding of impact and outcomes-based funding models (e.g. theory of change), and how to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.
3. Ability to support the development of budgets for funding bids and to track/report against income target.
4. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive funding bids, cases for support, and briefing materials.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
7. Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

Desired Skills

1. Familiarity with the research, higher education, or economics funding landscape.
2. Experience of working with a variety of funders, including trusts and foundations, research councils, corporates, or major donors.
3. Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent).
4. Understanding of how charitable governance interacts with fundraising, including experience supporting committees or preparing reports for Boards.

Rape Crisis South London (RCSL) is seeking a skilled, passionate, and professional Advocacy Manager to join our team and lead our ISVA and Casework department. 
 

As Advocacy Manager (maternity cover), you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services for survivors of sexual violence, particularly those engaging with or considering engagement with the criminal justice system. You will manage a team of ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advocates), Caseworkers, and our Advocacy Operations Administrator, ensuring excellence in recruitment, induction, and training.
 

Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will play a key leadership role within our organisation, working collaboratively with colleagues across our frontline services and our training and prevention teams.

• A proven track record in people management and supporting survivors of sexual violence
• Experience working within the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector
