As a Nightstop Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of a life-changing service—assessing referrals, coordinating emergency placements, supporting young people into longer-term accommodation, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and volunteer hosts.
We're looking for a proactive and compassionate professional with experience supporting vulnerable people, strong safeguarding and risk assessment skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with partners, volunteers, and young people. You'll also recruit, train, and support volunteer hosts while promoting the service across local communities.

In this role, you will:
Supporting Young People
• Act as the first point of contact for people experiencing homelessness and referral partners, providing advice and signposting
• Conduct needs and risk assessments with potential Nightstop guests
• Coordinate and manage the logistics of each placement with volunteer hosts
• Work proactively with guests and partner agencies to identify longer-term accommodation options
• Provide ongoing support to guests and volunteers, including participation in a 24-hour on-call rota
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and volunteers at all times
• Comply with data protection and information-sharing protocols
• Lead on safeguarding actions to protect people with an identified risk
Volunteer Recruitment, Promotion and Engagement
• Promote volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, and online platforms
• Recruit and onboard volunteer hosts in line with safer recruitment practices, including interviews, references, DBS checks, and travelling to complete home assessments in line with lone working procedures
• Assess and make recommendations on applicants’ suitability and contribute to decision-making processes
• Deliver training, supervision, forums, celebration events and ongoing support to volunteers
• Build strong relationships with hosts to support retention, motivation, and engagement
• Act as a key point of contact for volunteers, providing guidance and problem-solving support
• Maintain regular communication with volunteers, including updates, development opportunities, and networking events
Marketing and Stakeholder Management
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations
• Work collaboratively with partners to support young people’s outcomes
• Arrange and attend community events and meetings to promote the Nightstop service
• Represent the organisation confidently, speaking clearly and effectively about youth homelessness and the impact of the service
• Support development of client and volunteer stories for communications and fundraising
• Proactively promote the Nightstop service to engage our wider communities, delivering awareness sessions encouraging volunteer engagement
Administration
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all guests and volunteers
• Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and data collection
• Support financial processes, including payments and record-keeping
Other
• Work collaboratively and effectively as part of the wider team with regular travel nationally for team meetings
• Actively participate in regular supervision, appraisals, caseload reviews and team meetings with your line manager and the wider team
• Work within the principles of Trauma Informed Practices, and apply this to your daily work young people, volunteers and also within the team
• Participate in an on-call rota, including evenings and weekends (additional on-call allowance is paid)

About You

My Journey from Volunteer to Manager
When I moved to the UK in 2013, I joined the charity through a one-year European Voluntary Service placement, supporting vulnerable and homeless young people in a drop-in café. It didn't take long for me to connect with the organisation's mission and values, and I quickly realised that I wanted to build my career in an organisation dedicated to making a real difference.
They recognised not only my commitment but also my background in social work and passion for supporting others. At the end of my volunteering placement, I secured a role as a Nightstop Project Worker, where I spent four years delivering emergency accommodation services across 12 local authority areas and training volunteers who played a vital role in supporting young people in crisis.
One of the charity’s greatest strengths is its commitment to developing its people. Throughout my career, I was encouraged to expand my skills through leadership and management training, while being given the trust and autonomy to take on new challenges. This investment in my growth led to promotions first to Prevention Services Manager for the North East and Cumbria, and later to National Prevention Services Manager.
Today, I lead a dedicated team delivering family mediation, emergency accommodation, and housing advice services that help prevent youth homelessness across the country. My progression from volunteer to national service manager reflects the opportunities, support, and belief that the organisation invests in its people.

Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 the charity was born.

Role Summary

Brief role description

As part of a small team, the Education and Skills Liaison will lead on engaging, developing and managing relationships with schools, youth and community groups, military charities, the MOD Education Team, the SCiP Alliance, Families Federations, HIVE and other key stakeholders to advocate for children and young people from Forces families.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. You will also be a strong collaborator and team player, with demonstrable influencing skills and coaching or mentoring experience.
You will be a self-starter with confidence to use your own initiative and a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by forces families in finding appropriate and sustainable employment. In addition, you will have strong operational and administrative skills, knowledge of GDPR and experience using CRMs.
The ideal candidate will have lived experience of the Armed Forces lifestyle, a background in secondary or further education and a NVQ Level 6 in Advice, Information and Guidance.
This position is remote; however, candidates must be based in Hampshire to support local engagement activities and demonstrate knowledge of regional authorities and organisations.

We're looking for someone who not only loves and cares for animals but is also resilient and resourceful in dealing with humans! This is a brand-new position within our Shelter's small team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Everything we do is in service of our mission to Rescue, Love, Repeat, taking in animals who have nowhere else to go, giving them the care they need, and finding them the homes they deserve. You'll report to the Chair of our Fundraising and Promotion Committee and work closely with our Operations Manager, with strategy and support offered throughout. Your role will be operational, with a focus on delivery and community engagement, and you'll be encouraged to make your own mark on it as we grow.
Destitute Animals Shelter has developed a Fundraising Strategy for 2025 – 27, and we're looking to diversify our income streams to make sure we're hitting the financial targets that cover the rising costs of the good work we do daily at our Shelter. As Welcome Team Leader you will work as part of the Engagement team, leading a team of Welcome Hosts to provide a warm welcome and overall excellent visitor experience at Southwark Cathedral. Acting as a central point of contact, you will lead, support and develop the Welcome Team to deliver a friendly and engaging visit and ensure a high standard of customer service. Job Profile
This role will lead CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work aimed at building a fairer global financial system. The post holder will have a solid understanding of contemporary global economic issues, including the global debt crisis, development finance and the workings of international multilateral organisations. Working closely with CAFOD’s overseas partners and within UK and global networks, this role will hold policy expertise on behalf of the organisation. This will involve developing policy positions and representing the organisation externally. The role will work closely with CAFOD’s government relations and campaigns colleagues to lobby decision-makers and mobilise supporters as part of our economic justice work. Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking an experienced Associate Trainer to deliver high-quality training and workshops across Northern Ireland on behalf of Ygam. Although remote working, they would need to be living in NI for travel and delivery purposes. This position is offered on a self-employed associate basis (contract for services). The post holder will facilitate engaging learning experiences, maintain high standards of safeguarding and quality assurance, and contribute to Ygam's mission by helping professionals understand and respond to gaming and gambling-related harms affecting children and young people.
The role is ideal for an experienced trainer, educator or youth practitioner with strong facilitation skills and knowledge of safeguarding, education or public health, who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. You will be confident working independently and remotely, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
You will be skilled at adapting training delivery to meet the needs of different audiences and contexts, ensuring sessions are inclusive, engaging and responsive to participant needs.

You will lead workshops and training both online and face to face. The role will support professionals, parents, carers and young people to understand and help prevent gaming and gambling harms. Role Requirements
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Delivery
· Deliver the Ygam portfolio of workshops (online and face to face)
· Provide high-quality training to a range of professionals and young people in line with Ygam’s quality standards and facilitator guidance

Person Specification
Essential:
· Experience delivering training online and face to face training to both adults, children and young people
