About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting a Communications Lead to join Working Well Trust. This is a 35-hour per week role, Monday to Friday, based at our Bethnal Green office with travel to other offices and boroughs when required. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days on site per week. Occasional evening work may be required.
This role will lead and deliver Working Well Trust’s communications activity across digital, print and internal channels, ensuring that our content is engaging, accessible, timely and aligned with organisational aims, service requirements and brand standards. The postholder will also support contract mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and effective internal communication across the organisation.
We are looking for someone with strong communications, digital content, copywriting and design skills, who can bring creativity, structure and initiative to a growing mental health and employment charity. The Opportunity

You will assist them throughout the journey of developing their own local housing schemes.

Good IT skills, and the ability to build strong relationships are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting the Performance & Evaluation Manager to build questionnaires and data collection tools within the organisation’s database, to ensure that the organisation can effectively monitor and evaluate the outcomes and value of its many different services.

· Lead data cleaning and processing for monthly data submissions to the NHS Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS) and other regular reporting.

Grow is a youth development charity working with 16-24 year olds facing significant challenges in Sheffield. Many young people we work with experience mental health difficulties that have resulted in social isolation and a lack of engagement in work or training prospects. Our programmes combine coaching with gardening and nature-based activities to help our trainees combat social isolation, boost their wellbeing and develop employability skills.

Role Description
As our Programme Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind Grow’s Training and Employability Programmes. You will guide trainees from their first referral through to their next steps beyond Grow whilst also developing a strong, purposeful volunteering programme to support the work that we do. If you are passionate about working with young people and are interested in supporting volunteers in their role, then please read on.
Programme Design & Delivery
Manage the referral pathway, acting as the primary point of contact for Sheffield-based partners and arranging pre-visits for prospective trainees.
Lead the welcoming process, introducing young people to Grow’s nature-based programmes, coaching culture and mission.
Handle all enrolment paperwork, trainee assessments, and the establishment of coaching contracts.
Programme Delivery & Support
Provide coaching and practical support during training sessions, ensuring young people are engaged and safely transported onto our green space.
Assist Training Managers in delivering core coaching modules and contribute to the evolution of programme resources.
Lead 'Next Steps' support, providing external signposting and organising events for our alumni community.
Volunteer Management
Develop and execute a volunteering strategy that aligns with Grow’s goals.
Coordinate the recruitment, induction, and scheduling of volunteers. You will oversee the quality of their 1-to-1 coaching by reviewing logs and providing constructive feedback.
Ensure all volunteers are fully briefed on safeguarding and health and safety policies and have completed all core training.
Oversee the DBS administration process, ensuring timely checks and accurate record‐keeping
Operations & Impact
Track impact data and trainee progress to support the Head of Programmes & Impact in assessing overall success.
Maintain rigorous health and safety standards by completing and updating risk assessments.
Participate in trainee interviews and assist with disciplinary procedures when necessary.

PLANED is a long-established community development charity that now works across Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Our work, regionally, brings together communities, public services, third sector partners and local businesses to deliver long-term environmental, social and economic benefit across West Wales.
A defining feature of PLANED is our asset-based approach. We own and manage a growing portfolio of buildings and assets, including our home site, the Old School in Pembrokeshire, which combines our office and conferencing space, with an additional range of tenanted spaces for local businesses.
We also lead the management of the Carmarthenshire Living Well Centre, a multi-use community facility hosting health, well-being, advice and support services. The Living Well Centre brings together a wide range of charities and statutory partners under one roof, creating a genuinely collaborative, free-to-access, local hub supporting 700 clients per month, which is increasingly seen as a model of best practice.
Most of PLANED’s work is delivered through multiple live projects funded by a mix of Welsh Government, NHS, National Lottery, National Grid, BT and other sources. We have a healthy financial position, but much of this funding is short to medium term, requiring continuous bid writing, relationship management and adaptation. The CEO role is therefore both externally facing and highly hands-on.
About the role
We are seeking a CEO to lead our next exciting chapter. This will include developing a new and updated organisational strategy, continuing to secure sustainable funding, overseeing project delivery and ensuring the organisation remains financially resilient while continuing to grow its impact and influence.
The organisation has a strong, inclusive and supportive culture that is bilingual. The team is community-rooted, collaborative and delivery-focused, with a clear ethos of shared responsibility and mutual support. We have a team of around 18 people, the majority of whom are project funded, supported by a small core team, including the CEO.
The role requires on-site presence; given our reach across West Wales, there is also regular travel required.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable in a village hall as they are in a meeting with national and local politicians, senior civil servants, charity or business leaders. You will be confident working across rural and coastal communities, and able to build trust quickly and authentically.
Our CEO leads a significant part of our fundraising activities, and experience in securing income and developing sustainable funding models will be important.
We are open to leaders who might be seeking their first CEO role, and are open to considering what support we can put in place to help a new CEO thrive.

Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.
