Who are we?

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO transforming food, packaging, textiles and resource use systems in pursuit of circular living.

WRAP are the people who do. We convene. We evidence. We solve. We deliver.

For over 25 years, WRAP has innovated to meet the problems of the day.

We prevent waste and pollution to save money, improve living standards and protect natural habitats. We reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water stress to strengthen resilience and help meet environmental goals. We improve resource use to increase productivity and growth.

Across the world, we bring more than 1,000 businesses together with governments and civil society to tackle environmental challenges that require the collective action of many.

Join us at WRAP and you'll drive important change to embed circular living in every boardroom and in every home.

The role

As our Senior Strategic Engagement Manager, you will establish, develop and grow strategic relationships with key funders, securing sustainable income and long-term partnerships that support our mission and maximise our impact. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will identify funding opportunities, develop compelling funding proposals, deliver high-quality stewardship and ensure funders remain engaged and inspired by our work.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy, providing regular updates on trends across the funding landscape. You will line manage at least one member of staff and contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture. Working closely with fellow fundraising professionals and multidisciplinary teams, you will be an excellent communicator, a supportive manager and a strong team player.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraising professional who is passionate about building strategic partnerships and securing investment that helps create a more sustainable future for people and the planet.

What are we looking for?

You will bring:

  • A proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations or other strategic funding partners.
  • Significant experience developing and managing successful funding relationships that deliver substantial income growth.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience of producing compelling funding proposals, reports and stewardship communications.
  • Strong track record of working collaboratively, demonstrating influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience of managing and developing staff.

Ready to lead the way to circular living?

If you think you have what it takes but your experience looks different to what is advertised, please still apply. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of your age, race, gender, neurodiversity, ability, beliefs, sexuality, or personal preferences.

We want to help you be your best, so please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustments during the recruitment process.
