About Wikimedia UK
A registered charity, Wikimedia UK is the national chapter of the global Wikimedia movement. We work with volunteers, communities and partners across the UK to build and improve Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, so that everyone can access and contribute to reliable, open knowledge. We empower people to find, use, evaluate, and communicate information online and we advocate for a digital ecosystem that is open, equitable and democratic.
Background:
Programme Coordinators at Wikimedia UK lead on partnership work, relationship development, training delivery and volunteer support, usually within particular geographic or topic areas. We are looking to recruit for a fixed-term, two-year role to deliver and develop our activities in Scotland, and support the wider Programmes team in delivering UK-wide work. For example in 2026, we are planning celebration events across the country for Wikipedia’s 25th, and the post-holder may be involved in their delivery. Apart from the delivery focus on Scotland, there will be scope to get involved with other areas of Wikimedia UK’s programmatic work such as delivering training in other parts of the UK, or supporting minoritised languages (particularly the indigenous languages of the UK), depending on programmatic needs.
We have had dedicated staff support for activity in Scotland for nearly a decade, and have several successful and ongoing partnerships with a number of educational and cultural institutions, as well as community organisations. Whilst the focus of this role is primarily on Scotland, Wikimedia UK delivers work both nationally and internationally, and the post holder would be expected to hold a portfolio which contributes to and supports this.
This is a part time post and can be based anywhere in Scotland, and there is an expectation of travel, including quarterly meetings at our office in London. Some evening and weekend work should also be expected, for which Time Off In Lieu can be taken. Successful post holders of similar roles in the organisation are skilled in advocacy, creative thinking, and project planning.
Purpose of job: To lead the delivery of Wikimedia UK’s activities in Scotland, by developing and running projects with partner institutions, involving and empowering volunteers, and delivering training, as well as supporting programmatic work outwith Scotland.
Main Duties
Programme Development & Delivery:

Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s programme in Scotland, in collaboration with the Programme Manager, including seeking new potential opportunities.

Support other aspects of Wikimedia UK’s programme outwith Scotland as appropriate

Work with other staff to identify funding opportunities for existing or potential projects, as appropriate
Relationship Management (Particularly in relation to Scotland):

Act as the main point of contact for partner organisations and volunteers and ensure proactive, effective and regular communications with these stakeholders

Provide support to Wikimedians in Residence

Develop, deliver or support a range of activities, such as Wikipedia editing events, Wiki Loves campaigns, editor meetups and content donations, in partnership with other staff and external stakeholders

Encourage the involvement of volunteers in activities, grow the volunteer base, and provide support for community-led activities

Person Specification
Essential:

The Role
The Regional Programme Director — Asia will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of Barnabas Aid's grant making and project management across the Asia Region. You will lead and develop a team of Programme Managers, build and sustain a strong partner network, and oversee a portfolio of high-quality, biblically grounded projects that deliver measurable impact for persecuted and suffering Christians.
As a member of both the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team, you will contribute to BAI's global Programmes strategy and to organisational strategy, culture, and effective cross-departmental working.
Key Responsibilities
Regional strategy and portfolio leadership
- In collaboration with the International Chief Programmes Officer, lead the development, review, and implementation of the global Programmes strategy within the assigned Region, translating strategic priorities into a clear regional plan and pipeline.
- Maintain a balanced regional portfolio aligned with organisational priorities, donor intent, and restricted fund requirements.
- Identify emerging needs, risks, and opportunities in the Region and recommend strategic responses, including new initiatives and partnerships.
- Ensure that the Region is balancing its portfolio of Programmes according to the Country Classification framework.
Grant making and programme cycle management
- Oversee the end-to-end grant making process for Programmes in the region, ensuring proposals are assessed, costed, and approved in line with delegated authority, Gate processes, and Programmes Subcommittee requirements.
- Take lead responsibility for one sub-region and/or a portfolio of countries, leading on partner engagement and the whole project management cycle.
- Ensure robust needs assessments, project design, logical frameworks (where applicable), budgets, partner due diligence, risk assessments, and monitoring plans are in place before grants are committed.
- Oversee project implementation across the regional portfolio, including milestone tracking, reporting, learning, and close-out, ensuring records are maintained accurately and on time.
- Proactively identify project delivery issues and work with team members and partners to resolve them promptly.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all systems and processes used to manage the workflow of the team.
- Work closely with the Programme Quality Team to ensure best practice standards, continuous improvement, and consistent application of policies, processes, and templates.
Leadership and people management
- Support the staff in the regional team by providing clear leadership, coaching, and line management, including goal setting, supervision, performance management, and development.
- Ensure capacity planning across the Region so that project management workloads are realistic and risks are appropriately managed.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for the regional team, contributing to wider Programmes Team workforce planning as required.
- Deputise for the international Chief Programmes Officer when requested to do so during their absence
- Ensure Regional team members plan overseas trips appropriately and adequately, always factoring in security and safeguarding risks.
Partner engagement and external representation
- Ensure the regional team builds and sustains a strong partner network, with relationships that are effective, mutually accountable, and aligned with Barnabas Aid's mission and values.
- Develop and implement a plan for regular partner engagement and capacity building (including visits where appropriate and safe) to strengthen project delivery, monitoring, and safeguarding.
- Represent Barnabas Aid professionally with partners and other stakeholders, managing sensitive information and security considerations appropriately.
- Engage proactively with peer organisations and networks to bring insight on sector best practice into BAI's work.
Cross-organisational collaboration and governance
- Work closely with Outreach and Support departments to provide timely, high-quality project information and updates that enable supporter communications, fundraising, and reporting.
- Contribute to organisational planning and decision-making through active membership of the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team (as applicable).
- Prepare quality papers, dashboards, and narrative updates for internal decision-making meetings and governance forums as required.
Compliance, risk, and safeguarding
- Ensure compliance with Barnabas Aid policies and external requirements relevant to grant making and project delivery, including data protection and information security.
- Maintain effective regional risk management, including project, partner, fraud, security, and reputational risks, escalating issues promptly and recommending mitigations.
- Champion safeguarding and ensure safeguarding considerations are integrated into partner due diligence, project design, implementation, and reporting.

The University Access and Digital (UAD) Programmes Assistant will provide core operational support to the UAD team. The role will support programme set-up, student applications, digital content, events, data processes and student communications across Sutton Trust Online, UK Summer Schools, Teacher Champions and other programme activity. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to apply project management methodologies to our Dogs Trust Ireland transformation programme, which will involve migrating a legacy customer relationship management (CRM) system to Salesforce.
What does this role do?
As IT Programme Manager (Dogs Trust Ireland CRM Delivery), you will:
- apply standardised project management lifecycles, methodologies and governance to all activity in the Dogs Trust Ireland transformation programme, ensuring all work is aligned with wider programme objectives,
- work with key stakeholders to define and document the project scope, objectives and outcomes, and then deliver organisational change and embed new ways of working,
- work closely with the CRM implementation partner, Product Owner and Dogs Trust UK technical teams to shape the solution, coordinate and manage delivery, ensuring agreed objectives and timelines are met,
- manage and track dependencies throughout, and work with the Portfolio team to provide delivery assurance.
While this role will be based at our London office with hybrid working, the post holder will be expected to travel regularly to Dogs Trust Ireland offices in Dublin. This role is a fixed term contract until December 2027.

The Programme Officer will be responsible for the management and overall delivery of their designated programmes.This role will involve managing relationships with tutors, parents and clients, while collecting robust qualitative and quantitative data to measure the impact and build the success of our work. - Manage delivery of the Career pathway programme for schools (CPPFS) courses, which help YP at risk of involvement in criminal activity to engage fully in education by addressing barriers to positive engagement through workshops and career- mentor support at Harris Academies in South London, with a view to reaching 150 students a year.
- Support and supervise the Project Coordinator to implement the project “From Tragedy to Legacy” to celebrate the legacy of Damilola Taylor while highlighting the impact the Trust has made in 25 years supporting young people in inner-city areas of London.
- Lead the Trust’s collaboration initiative with YouthBuild UK, a South London based charity that trains YP to be work ready in a variety of industries including construction, hospitality, customer care and IT to enhance impact of our Career Search and Skills Development (CSSD) programme.
- Design, develop and implement new programmes for delivery in-house or via third party delivery partners
- Agree the Executive Team’s work plan, lead, and motivate staff to create a high-performing team that sustains and scales the impact of our core youth-focused programmes.
