Salford CVS is recruiting a Volunteering Development Worker (Women and Girls in Football) to lead our work in increasing the participation of women and girls in off-pitch volunteering roles across grassroots football in Salford. This new role has been created in alignment with The FA’s priorities to strengthen inclusive volunteer pathways and ensure club and league environments are welcoming, supportive and accessible for female volunteers.

The main purpose of the post is to increase the number of female volunteers in off-pitch roles across grassroots football in Salford by supporting clubs, leagues, sessional football providers and community groups to create, promote and sustain inclusive volunteer opportunities. The role will coordinate learning and development for volunteers, help organisations understand their volunteer needs, and strengthen their capacity to recruit, retain and recognise women and girls in volunteering.

You will use Salford CVS’s established volunteering expertise to support England Accredited clubs, leagues and sessional football providers to attract, recruit and retain more female volunteers. This includes addressing known barriers such as lack of visible role models, sex-based discrimination, childcare demands that fall disproportionately on women, limited flexibility and traditional recruitment practices that may favour men.

Working in connection with our Volunteer Centre and wider Active Communities teams, you will join a service that already supports hundreds of organisations to develop safe and high-quality volunteering opportunities, matches hundreds of residents to roles, and delivers a wide range of volunteering training and good-practice guidance. You will also work closely with local partners, including Salford Community Leisure, GM Moving, Manchester FA and VCSE partners to ensure a coordinated and impactful approach.

The role will involve building strong relationships with clubs and leagues, engaging women and girls through targeted outreach in multiple settings (for example, community events, education environments, VCSE spaces, etc.), supporting grassroots clubs to understand their volunteer needs and barriers, and developing sustainable volunteer plans that help address these. You will deliver both FA and Salford CVS-designed training, increasing access to high-quality learning and development across the grassroots football ecosystem.

You will also connect to our wider engagement in the physical activity agenda in Salford, particularly the Place Partnership, a programme helping to lower barriers to physical activity and get Salford residents moving more.

Hours: 18 hours per week (excluding breaks), to be worked over 3–4 days.

Contract: Until 30th June 2028, subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

This position will suit someone passionate about widening access to volunteering, confident in engaging diverse communities, and skilled in helping organisations embed inclusive, flexible and sustainable volunteer practices. Job Purpose

The Gifting Manager will lead the development and delivery of Petty Pool Trust’s legacy giving and alumni programmes. This is a new and strategically important role, responsible for creating and embedding a sustainable legacy pipeline that will generate long-term income to support young people with learning disabilities to thrive.

The postholder will design and implement a comprehensive legacy strategy, build awareness among supporters, cultivate future legacy pledgers, and establish systems and processes to steward legacy gifts effectively and sensitively. They’ll oversee development of an alumni programme for learners and their families for medium term major gifts and donations to ensure sustainable incomes streams for the charity, towards both restricted and unrestricted funding requirements. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Programme Development

• Develop and implement a multi-year legacy strategy aligned with Petty Pool’s wider fundraising and organisational goals.
• Establish clear income projections, KPIs and reporting mechanisms for legacy fundraising. Identify and segment target audiences for legacy giving.
• Develop the case for support for legacy giving in collaboration with senior leadership and communications teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice, including the Fundraising Regulator and GDPR.
• Design and promote a Free Wills programme, working with local law firms and partners. Create an Alumni Strategy for engaging learners and their families, creating support that lasts into the future and a medium-term giving pipeline.

Marketing & Awareness

• Work collaboratively with fundraising, marketing, and comms teams to develop legacy and alumni marketing materials (print, digital, web, events), integrated campaigns, and engage with volunteers.
• Ensure legacy messaging is embedded across supporter communications and fundraising activities.
• Work with the Communications team to share impact stories that demonstrate long-term transformational outcomes.

Supporter Engagement & Stewardship

• Build and manage relationships with legacy pledgers, alumni families, and high-potential supporters.
• Develop a stewardship programme for legacy/alumni supporters and prospects, face to face, via email, telephone and post, to proactively keep supporters inspired and engaged.
• Organise cultivation events and engagement opportunities.
• Work closely with fundraising colleagues to identify legacy prospects. Handle sensitive conversations about gifts in wills with professionalism and empathy.
• Contribute to our Annual Impact Statement, working closely with Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Teams.

Pipeline & Data Management

• Establish systems to track legacy and alumni prospects, pledges and realised gifts.
• Develop processes for recording and forecasting legacy income.
• Analyse data to inform targeting and strategy development.
• Ensure legacy administration processes are robust and legally compliant.

Internal Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to embed legacy thinking across the organisation.
• Support trustees and senior volunteers to act as ambassadors for legacy giving where appropriate.

Income Management & Reporting

• Monitor and report on pipeline growth, pledges and realised legacy income.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in legacy fundraising, in memory fundraising, or major donor fundraising.

Job Summary 

As The Operations Transformation Programme Director, you’ll build and lead a new directorate driving major change across Estates, Fleet, Logistics and Supply Chain to ensure St John’s operational services are efficient, future‑ready and deliver outstanding support. Reporting to the COO, you’ll oversee Estates & Facilities, Fleet, Logistics, Clinical Equipment, Health & Safety and Business Continuity, managing a c.£22m budget. You’ll ensure that we implement our new Estates strategy, lead capital investment, transform contract management, and deliver a best‑in‑class logistics and supply chain model. Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management

• Oversee and manage the safe and efficient daily operation of the hub, ensuring essential tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Ensure the hub is appropriately set up to meet Key Performance Indicators and goods in and deliveries out, working closely with the Head of Operations.
• Use FareShare UK (FSUK)’s digital stock system to manage product movements and maintain stock accuracy. Lead weekly stock takes and investigate discrepancies in collaboration with the compliance and food teams.
• Oversee the smooth intake and dispatch of food, liaising with food donors, FSUK, transport providers, and partners. Ensure food deliveries meet acceptance criteria and report any quality issues promptly.

Purpose of Role

The Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty. This role is focused on forced migration (in a team that also works in areas such as food insecurity, homelessness in the UK, and maternal and child health internationally),

The Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for new Comic Relief grant making and ongoing grant management both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice.

The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with other teams in the funding department and across the wider organisation to support Comic Relief’s overall objectives, including income generation.

Grant making and ongoing grant management
