Job summary:
As our Philanthropy Manager, you'll lead our trusts and foundations fundraising while building meaningful relationships with major donors who share our vision. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and Trustees, you'll help build and grow our philanthropy programme, securing significant gifts and developing long-term partnerships that enable more people living with MS to access trusted information, evidence-based lifestyle guidance and a supportive community.

About you

You're an experienced relationship fundraiser with a successful track record in trusts and foundations and/or major donor fundraising.

You'll bring:

• A proven track record of securing significant five-figure gifts and grants, with experience developing or securing six-figure funding opportunities.
• Excellent proposal and bid writing skills.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management experience.
• Confidence working with philanthropists, senior decision-makers and trustees.

Key responsibilities and duties:
The role comprises of the following key areas of responsibility:

Trusts and Foundations

• Lead and develop our trusts and foundations fundraising programme.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective charitable trusts and foundations.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned to Overcoming MS' strategic priorities.
• Develop compelling funding applications, reports and proposals.
• Deliver excellent stewardship and timely reporting to existing funders.

Major Donors

• Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective major donors.
• Work with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and Trustees to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospective philanthropists.
• Develop tailored cultivation and stewardship plans aligned to supporters' interests and motivations.
• Prepare personalised proposals, presentations and impact reports.
• Secure significant five-figure gifts while developing and progressing opportunities capable of generating transformational six-figure support.

Philanthropy development

• Research and identify opportunities to grow both restricted and unrestricted income.
• Develop compelling cases for support that communicate the impact and ambition of Overcoming MS.
• Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising, communications and services to translate our evidence, insight and organisational priorities into inspiring funding propositions.
• Contribute to philanthropy strategy, pipeline development, income forecasting and long-term fundraising growth.
• Maintain accurate fundraising records, prospect pipelines and reporting through our CRM system.
• Support donor cultivation events and opportunities to deepen supporter engagement.

Compliance and representation

• Act as an ambassador for Overcoming MS, building relationships that increase awareness and support for our work.
• Ensure fundraising activity complies with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR and organisational policies.
• Keep up to date with fundraising best practice and sector developments.

Person Specification

• Proven experience securing significant five-figure gifts and grants from trusts and foundations and/or major donors, with experience developing or securing six-figure funding opportunities.

About Thrombosis UK

Thrombosis UK is the UK’s leading thrombosis charity, working to improve awareness, prevention and support for people affected by blood clots.

As part of our new organisational strategy, we are launching a major programme focused on raising awareness of blood clot (VTE) risk during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This programme will combine public awareness, healthcare professional engagement, patient advocacy and policy influence to improve understanding, encourage earlier action and contribute to longer-term system change.

This is not a traditional PR brief. We are looking for someone who can think strategically while also delivering practical communications activity across multiple channels.

The consultant will work alongside Thrombosis UK staff who already deliver digital communications, social media, volunteer engagement and patient support. AFRIL is recruiting for our next Casework Manager, following the advancement of the current post holder into another role within the organisation. We are looking for a hard working and dynamic person who can balance the operational demands of casework and managing frontline services, with excellent HR skills and a keen interest in policy and developing partnerships. This is an exciting and integral role within a supportive and dynamic team at AFRIL, which would be ideal for a highly experienced caseworker or solicitor seeking to gain leadership experience in a community led organisation.

The successful candidate will lead a team of 3 Caseworkers (as well as a team of volunteers) in the delivery of AQS casework in the areas of housing, asylum support, welfare benefits and community care, and the provision of Immigration Advice Authority Level 2 advice. The post holder will also hold key funder and partner relationships, oversee compliance, safeguarding and support the Executive Director with AFRIL's external policy work.

To coordinate high quality employability training programmes, supporting & equipping women who have experienced multiple disadvantages to progress into work, further training or volunteering. The Training Coordinator must be an experienced trainer and facilitator, with experience of working with vulnerable adults. Job Title: Luminary Women Training Coordinator

Based in: Luminary Women, Camden

Reports to: Senior Programme Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Facilitation:

● Coordinating Luminary’s twelve month Employability & Independence Training Programme, including facilitating programme sessions, coordinating external facilitators and specialist trainers

● Assist Senior Programme Manager with regularly reviewing Programme Curriculum. Working collaboratively with the Employability Coordinator and Baking Teachers to oversee its evolution and adaptation based on learner needs and changing trends within the employment market.

● Working in collaboration with Luminary’s Progression Support Workers to resolve barriers to engagement and learning for women and tailor learning to support needs.

● To host a trauma informed learning environment, creating and maintaining a safe space for trainees to be trained and supported in

● To meet the key performance indicators attached to contractual delivery and funder requirements, including Luminary’s goal to see 80% of trainees, attend 80% of the training programme.

● Facilitate the courses in a welcoming & professional manner, creating an environment where women feel safe, can learn & grow and build strong relationships across the cohort.

● Work closely with Progression Support Workers to ensure trainees transition smoothly between programme phases. ● Regularly monitor risks associated with trainees & escalate any safeguarding concerns via Luminary’s Safeguarding Protocols.

Programme Marketing and Recruitment:

● Coordinate the recruitment of trainees on to the programme, including assisting the Senior Programme Manager to assess suitability in line with Luminary’s referral criteria. 

● Coordinate and conduct the application process, interviews and onboarding in a trauma informed way, creating the safety survivors need to take a huge step in their recovery by exploring this opportunity with Luminary.

● Promote the programme and liaise with referral agencies to successfully generate enough referrals to fill all trainee spaces available.

● Assist the Senior Programme Manager to develop strategic partnerships with relevant organisations in the charity sector and local government, to market the programme and attract referrals.

● Work in collaboration with the Baking Teachers and Progression Support team to carefully onboard trainees, setting the culture of learning and communicating expectations to set them up to successfully complete the programme.

● Coordinate and facilitate the courses in a welcoming & professional manner, creating an environment where women feel safe, can learn & grow and build strong relationships across the cohort.

Line Management:

● Line manage a small team of Teaching Assistants who are all Luminary Programme graduates. Ensuring they are well supported, trained to a high standard and delivering Luminary’s vision of vocational training for women.

Training Management:

● Assist the Senior Programme Manager in evaluating the services Luminary offers for: reporting to funders, completing new funding applications and internal monitoring.

● Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete training records, including tracking and monitoring learner progress and development to support high accreditation pass rates and good retention.

● Contribute your experience of best practice to shape the way Luminary operates effectively

● Undertake any additional duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by the Senior Programme Manager.

● To take reasonable care for the health and safety of learners in accordance with legislation, and government guidelines.

Person Profile Necessary:

● Experienced group facilitator, minimum two years of proven experience

● Experience of training within non traditional learning environments with disadvantaged groups

● Person-centred approach to learning and support that is trauma-informed including proven experience of managing group dynamics and behavioural conduct in a learning setting

● Comfortable providing clear and compassionate feedback to support the learning environment and trainee development

● Experience of and ability to plan, write, deliver and evaluate training sessions for employability programmes with knowledge of meeting the quality standards related to learning

● Personable, patient & resilient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

● Experience setting boundaries and investing in own mental wellbeing whilst supporting others

● Organised with record keeping, time-keeping, and communication

● Motivated & hard working and able to learn new things quickly

● Able to multitask effectively with the tools to cope well in a fast paced environment

● Able to work independently and initiate tasks as needed; able to work well in a team

● Flexible and able to accommodate change

We are looking for a Service Lead and a Support Worker to join our team on a fixed term contract to help guide children and families on their healing journey.

About you:

A successful Service Lead will have professional expertise in the field of domestic abuse and hold a qualification or professional experience in social care or childcare support work.

You’ll be experienced at managing a team with effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues. You’ll also have experience of working with vulnerable parents and/or children in a range of community settings and adept at delivering groupwork programmes.

A successful Support Worker will need a good understanding of domestic abuse and the impact on children and families (or an interest in working in this field), with experience of delivering groupwork programmes for vulnerable parents and/or children.

Event Coordination

You'll oversee the smooth delivery of The Loss Foundation's programme of support services, ensuring events are well organised, appropriately resourced and delivered to a high standard.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a visionary educational content writer and high-impact Senior Lead to maintain the quality of our world-class educational programmes. This is a unique role for a creative thinker with a deep pedagogical background and a relentless passion for bringing global current affairs to the heart of the classroom. Working in collaboration with our programmes team, and leveraging the journalistic excellence of The Economist Group, you will define the standard for global news education.

In this fixed-term role, you won't just create lessons; you will engineer innovative, nuanced, discussion-based frameworks that challenge children to master complex global topics and build essential critical-thinking and communication skills. As a Senior Lead, you will drive the development of our Headlines programme, aligned with our ambitious strategic goals, bringing flair and originality to our globally-relevant resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design world-class classroom resources

• Research, pitch and execute sophisticated lesson plans that distill the world's biggest issues into diverse, nuanced and rich learning experiences

• Set the benchmark for quality by writing, editing and proofreading high-impact teaching resources

• Collaborate with our Graphic Designer to ensure our content is as visually compelling as it is intellectually rigorous

• Apply our house style, pedagogical approach and editorial voice consistently across all content

Programme leadership and innovation

• Proactively analyse shifts in global curricula and educational trends to ensure our products remain the market leader

• Craft high-level website copy and teacher-facing materials that articulate the unique value of our programmes

• Conduct school visits to observe, evaluate and occasionally model the delivery of Topical Talk lessons

• Partner with the Director of Programmes to implement rigorous monitoring and evaluation frameworks which track and scale programme success

Workshop delivery

• End-to-end execution of student workshops and events, from the idea-generation stage to writing, proofreading, delivery and evaluation

• Deliver expert-led training that empowers teachers to maximise the impact of our resources

Strategic relationship management

• Work at the highest level with The Economist’s journalists to translate complex global issues into engaging educational content

Ablaze are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Employability Workshop Manager to deliver our Employment & Skills programme workshops for young people aged 16-25 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

This role is ideal for someone who has experience planning and delivering engaging workshops, can build positive relationships with young people facing barriers to progression and is passionate about helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for employment.

Alongside workshop delivery, you will support the collection of programme impact data on our secondary school career mentoring programme and contribute to reporting for our business partners. About the Place-Based Resilience Team 

The Place-Based Resilience team delivers R-Cities' Resilience for Communities (R4C) program at neighborhood scale, working with communities, cities, and funders across North America, Greater Manchester, and Malaysia. The team combines structured resilience assessment with community-led design, and translates what works in one place into practice elsewhere. 

The role 

You run day-to-day delivery of the R4C Greater Manchester program. You own the program's operational spine: plans, trackers, records, and the monitoring and evaluation data that evidences impact to funders. You also lead discrete workstreams including workshop facilitation, events, corporate volunteering with Zurich, and support to local implementation partners. 

R4C Greater Manchester is currently delivered with local implementation partners at two demonstrator sites, Edgeley in Stockport with An Actions Common CIC and Higher Folds in Wigan with HF Works, alongside institutional partners including the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Stockport and Wigan Councils. The program is expanding to two new communities this year. It is funded by the Z Zurich Foundation and is supported by Zurich UK. The challenge is holding delivery, partner capability, and funder evidence together across four sites as the program moves into its second phase. 

How the role is set up today 

The program is entering Phase 2 following the close of Phase 1. The Lead - Place-Based Resilience currently carries direct delivery responsibility for Greater Manchester alongside portfolio leadership. You take on day-to-day delivery, with scope to broaden as that transition progresses.

Program delivery and coordination (25%) 

You own: 

• Program plans, delivery trackers, milestones, and action logs across both sites, kept current and accurate.
