About the role

The mission of the Supporter Care team at Crisis is to ensure that everyone who contacts us has an excellent experience. We are looking for a new Customer Service Coordinator with a strong background in customer service/supporter care. In addition to being great on the phone and having excellent writing, the successful candidate will be a problem solver who loves methodically working through issues to uncover root causes. You will also have a strong collaborative approach and be willing to develop yourself professionally by learning new skills.

This is an exciting time to join our team. We are about to transition to our new CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365). We are also implementing new ways of getting the most from our contact management system (Zendesk), utilising AI and other functionality. This role will suit you if you have a strong understanding of customer service, are able to learn new technologies and to adapt to a changing environment all while delivering consistently excellent service.

About the role

Your key purpose will be to support the Supporter Experience Manager in delivering an excellent supporter experience for individuals across all fundraising activities. This includes projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, supporter journeys and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Supporter Experience Manager on supporter stewardship.

The Supporter Experience Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team. They will support in maximising the potential of our fundraising data, ensuring accurate and effective fundraising finance processes, gift aid maximisation and utilising the fundraising database.

· Has a good understanding of seed saving and agroecological seed systems.

· Supports outreach and communications to share knowledge on seed saving and agroecological seed systems.

· Assists in the identification and development of new regional opportunities.

Collaboration: Building strong, respectful relationships.

· Works closely with the Regional Leads and Coordinators through team meetings, working groups and collaborative projects to ensure smooth communication and delivery.

· Is the “go to” person for enquiries regarding activities within the region.

· Builds and maintains strong relationships with regional network partners.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a dynamic individual who is enthusiastic about working in the homelessness sector and committed to helping people overcome complex life challenges. You will support a group of individuals facing multiple disadvantages including homelessness, substance misuse, mental and physical health issues, trauma, and possible involvement with the criminal justice system.

You’ll work closely with the Lived Experience Team, under the guidance of the Team Leader, and offer engaging activities designed to build confidence, skills, and lasting connections.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide consistent, sustained support to help individuals engage with relevant services.

· Develop and update support plans that track progress, activities, and outcomes.

· Organise and deliver meaningful, fun, and skills-based group activities (e.g. cooking, art, music, fitness, photography).

· Signpost to external support groups and services, such as Andy’s Man Club, where appropriate.

· Foster partnerships with voluntary and statutory services to ensure cohesive support.

· Regularly identify and address barriers to progress, working collaboratively with each individual.

· Work confidently and professionally with individuals in crisis, managing risk and seeking appropriate support when                needed.

· Collaborate within the Lived Experience Team to share responsibilities and support team goals.

· Build relationships with faith groups, including Doncaster Minster (if possible), to secure space or volunteers for client-          focused activities.

A key element of this role involves working alongside the faith sector to bridge the gap in understanding around homelessness, addiction, and mental health. Through these partnerships, we aim to build inclusive, compassionate spaces within Doncaster’s communities where individuals feel welcome, safe, and supported.

About the Role & Organisation

This role is employed by Church Urban Fund (CUF) and will be managed remotely. While you will be based with the Starting Point  team in Doncaster City Centre, your work will also take place in the community and, occasionally, from home. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Sport & Events Coordinator

Job Purpose:

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a set of allocated sports, becoming the subject matter expert for those sports within CSSC. Working closely with volunteers, suppliers and partners, the role will ensure that their sports deliver a balance of larger national events and engaging local activities. For some larger scale events, the role will take on responsibility as Events Lead, so experience in event planning and delivery is vital.

The role will oversee event planning, delivery and evaluation, while ensuring compliance with all operational requirements such as health & safety and risk management. The role will play a vital role in supporting CSSC’s sports programme, increasing participation and enhancing member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Sport Oversight & Development

· Act as the subject matter expert for a set of allocated sports.

· Support the development and delivery of sport specific plans in collaboration with the Sport & Physical Activity Team, volunteers, members and external partners.

· Monitor trends, challenges and opportunities within each sport to inform planning and innovation.

Event Planning & Delivery

· Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery across the allocated sports.

The Role

This role will develop, support and manage a network of volunteers across England to help build both virtual and local communities for families affected by rare chromosome and gene disorders.
 
This role will lead on the recruitment, training and ongoing support of volunteers from the Unique membership to ensure they feel confident, connected and valued in their roles. Working closely with the Engagement and Communications Officer, the postholder will also help plan and run a programme of virtual events and online activities tailored to the needs of our members and encouraging supportive peer relationships between them.
 
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience of volunteer management and community engagement. You’ll enjoy building relationships, empowering others, and creating opportunities for people to connect and support one another.
 
This is a hybrid role which includes occasional working in our Oxted office to build relationships with our small, friendly team, as well as time spent on the ground with volunteers in different regions. The role will involve regular travel across England, with occasional weekend and evening work (for which time off in lieu will be provided).
