Home-Start Barnet, Brent and Harrow is a dynamic local charity supporting families with young children through challenging times. Our volunteers and staff offer emotional and practical support to help parents build confidence, strengthen relationships and give their children the best start in life.
We’re looking for a Family Engagement Coordinator to join our School Readiness project in Grahame Park, Barnet. You’ll be part of a friendly team at Home-Start Barnet, working closely with colleagues and partners at Barnet Mencap to support families who are just starting their journey with the education system.
In this role, you’ll help us reach families who may be facing extra challenges or need more personalised support. You’ll spend time building strong, trusting relationships with local primary schools and become a familiar, welcoming presence within their school communities. Your work will help ensure that parents feel informed, supported and ready to help their children thrive as they start school.
The common thread throughout the project is the engagement of families and the parent volunteers, who widen the supportive “community” around the families, and connect the school to the home, and the partners to each other. Approximately 70% of this role will be based in local schools in Grahame Park.
As our Family Engagement Coordinator, you will:
- Build strong relationships with primary schools in Grahame Park, in Barnet.
- Promote Home-Start’s services through school and community events.
- Support communication between schools, families and partner agencies.
- Share updates through newsletters, WhatsApp, email and community channels.
- Signpost families to local services and activities that support wellbeing.
- Receive referrals and assess family needs.
- Deliver school-readiness workshops and parenting groups.
- Liaise with schools, health and community services
About You

Programme Coordinator

This role will work at the heart of NEF’s major programmes, supporting the team to turn bold ideas, robust research and community power into real-world change to build a new economy that works for people and planet.
The role will primarily support the delivery of NEF’s major programmes including Homes for Us and Reclaiming our Regional Economies (RORE). Homes for Us is an alliance made up of grassroots groups, tenants unions and charities. It enables different parts of the housing movement to campaign and work together. Similarly, RORE works with leading new economy organistations, local communities and regional and local authorities to transform regional economies.
In supporting these programmes you would be helping communities and social movements to win lasting and systemic change.
You will work closely with programme managers, organisers, grassroots movements, external partners and stakeholders to help ensure programmes deliver to time, task and budget. It is a varied role where you’ll switch between a wide range of context and tasks, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Impact and Performance.

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

The Role

The Role
Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches.
As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees.

‘Green Connections’ is an innovative project which supports older people in Crewe and Nantwich surrounding area to reconnect with nature in their yards and gardens, connect older and isolated individuals with wider support and local opportunities to help relieve social isolation and loneliness. It also provides group delivery sessions around gardening based activities in care homes and community settings
This position involves actively engaging with people aged 50 plus who wish to connect to nature and learn more about their garden or gardening activities. You will be responsible for community engagement, organising resources, working with older people in their homes for tailored sessions and providing group delivery sessions in the community and care homes..
The Green Connections Coordinator role also involves actively engaging older people with services and support available, enhancing their quality of life. You will coordinate with other organisations and use their resources to secure additional support, always prioritising the consent and preferences of the clients. Main Duties:

PIN seeks a dynamic, mission-driven consultant to lead the implementation of the OWIS UK Growth Strategy — a four-month, grassroots plan to grow visibility, school engagement, and strategic partnerships across the UK.
The consultant will translate the strategy into action, working closely with the PIN UK team to test, learn, and build the foundations for long-term programme growth.
Key Responsibilities
Build Relationships with Schools and Teachers
• Gather qualitative insights from teachers about challenges and needs in addressing OWIS topics to ensure the OWIS content and approach (the OWIS “product”) is relevant and appropriate.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Activities Coordinator to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP). You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration and enhance social skills and community engagement.
