About the Role
The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for securing and managing significant income from charitable trusts and corporate partners to sustain and grow the Refugee Council’s services and advocacy work with and for refugees and people seeking asylum. Managing a portfolio of high-value trust and corporate partner relationships (independently up to £250,000 and supporting the wider philanthropy team for applications over £250,000), the role prepares compelling applications, pitches and reports, cultivates long-term partnerships, and ensures timely stewardship that reflects the organisation's impact and values.

Job description
Job Purpose
The hospital to home service works collaboratively with hospitals to support people when they are discharged from hospital to return home. As a Hospital to Home Outreach Worker, you will provide temporary, practical and emotional support to service users within their home and make sure they understand the care and local community services available to them.
The service is time limited, usually up to 4 or 6 weeks, to adjust and settle back in their homes.
Key Tasks
Assess the needs of service user’s either in hospital before discharge, or in their homes, and understand what barriers and enablers there might be to moving home.
Aid the discharge process and improve patient experience through tasks such as:
Key cutting
Co-ordinating with colleagues for the setup of the home environment such as checking fridge for in-date food
Checking heating, electric and gas is functional prior to discharge
Allowing access to the property for cleaning/repairs and receiving equipment
Provide and/or arrange the practical and emotional support needed to enable service users to return home and/or remain safely at home.
Be vigilant and make referrals/signpost for additional needs that our wider team, or partners can support. E.g. for benefit checks, energy advice, carers support, befriending.
Help maximise service user independence by adopting an enabling approach.
Develop a listening, caring and professional relationship with the service user and their families/carers.
Provide domestic practical support within the home such as:
Light cleaning,
Washing (e.g. bedding),
Changing bed sheets etc.
Prepare and service drinks and simple meals with or for the service user ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Accompany service user outside the home e.g. hospital/GP appointments etc.
Support service users with other tasks e.g. making telephone calls on their behalf, reading and responding to correspondence, completing simple forms (training will be provided) as directed by the service user’s etc.
Ensure services provided by AUKEL in the community are safe and person centred.
Report safeguarding concerns, in accordance with AUKEL safeguarding procedures.
Provide cover in the case of sickness and annual leave periods of colleagues.
Support service user reviews, ensuring all visiting information is uploaded on to Salesforce.
Support volunteers in the team and provide support and guidance to their development.
Work with a range of professionals including:
Supporting health and social care professionals with patient discharge
Liaising with the hospital health and social care professionals (e.g. Social Workers) to facilitate smooth supported discharge.

Administration
Input all records, reviews, and visiting information to service user’s case notes in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date and accurate records on Salesforce.
Report all “no access” failed visits, or changes in service user’s condition or circumstances in accordance with AUKEL’s policies and procedures.
Ensure service user comment sheets are completed.
Ensure service user’s feedback questionnaires are sent at the end of each intervention and record returns.
Submit travel expenses regularly for sign off by manager.

Role Purpose
The Relationship Fundraiser will support the Philanthropy Manager to secure and increase income through the charity’s Philanthropy strategy.
The post holder will support with developing a robust pipeline of prospects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing major donor relationships. Young People Support Worker (+ Sleep-in Payments) – Chester

As a Young People Support Worker at our service in Chester, you'll support young people aged 16–18 to build the confidence, resilience and practical skills they need to live independently. You'll manage a caseload, deliver personalised support plans, promote wellbeing, and help young people access housing, education, training and employment opportunities.
You will be someone with experience supporting young people or vulnerable groups, strong safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to build trusted relationships. You'll be confident in support planning, risk assessment and multi-agency working, while taking a proactive, strengths-based approach that empowers young people to achieve their goals.

Shift Pattern
A typical week consists of two shifts. Each shift begins at 9:30am and finishes at 11pm, followed by an overnight sleep-in. The shift then resumes at 07:00am and finishes at 12:00pm the following day. This entire period is classed as one shift. Sleep-ins are a requirement of the role and attract an additional payment. Flexibility to work bank holiday is also required in line with the needs of the service.
In this role, you will:
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible, including using safeguarding and emergency alert procedures where applicable
• Carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the well-being and day to day support of all clients in the services
• Lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service
• Develop and implement SMART outcomes based support plans for your key clients
• Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with
• Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the well-being of Depaul clients in accordance with data protection and information sharing protocols
• Adopt a flexible, reflective and creative approach in your engagement with clients and personalised in your support to them
• Involve clients in the decisions made about them and encourage participation in Depaul’s wider community programme of activities
• Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. About the opportunity
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2), key stage 3 (KS3) and key stage 4 (KS4) English tutoring programmes through improving our English resources. You will create training materials and provide advice and support to our volunteers and our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day. You will be engaged in our AI tutoring pilot including undertaking pedagogical reviews of potential English AI tutoring tools.

About this job
The Head of Research enables successful delivery of the organisation’s ground-breaking Research Strategy. They will provide vital leadership, strategic direction and day to day management of the MS Society’s research programme as well as leadership of the Research Team.
This varied and exciting role also involves developing and maintaining strategically relevant partnerships, annual grant round, new research strategy and acting as a spokesperson for the MS Society as well as being a key ambassador – inspiring internal teams about the MS Society’s research programme.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Homelessness is rising fast across Britain, and we are seeing unprecedented demand for our services. At this critical time, we are looking for two talented, experienced Senior Media Officers to join the Crisis media team, to help raise the public and political profile of homelessness, to shine a light on the human impact, and to show how Crisis is working to help people rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind.
Location: Crisis is hiring two Senior Media Officers. One of those will be London (Aldgate) office based and the other role will be based in either our Birmingham, Liverpool or Newcastle office. Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid working policy; you will be required to work from the office twice a week.
About the role
As a Senior Media Officer, you will design, deliver and evaluate impactful media strategies to bring to life Crisis’ work, using print, digital and broadcast journalism to advocate for the solutions needed to tackle homelessness and inspire the public, businesses and politicians to join our mission to end homelessness for good.
You will work as part of a motivated, expert team to develop high-profile media and communications campaigns, including our annual Christmas appeal, and help to build our brand.
With homelessness at record levels there has never been a more critical time to join Crisis and ensure tackling homelessness is firmly on the news agenda.
Each Senior Media Officer will line manage one Media Officer.
About you
You will have significant experience of working in a challenging, fast-paced news and media environment to secure high-profile coverage. The ability to navigate competing priorities and influence senior internal and external stakeholders is essential.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of working with the media to help secure policy change, demonstrate the ability to secure high-profile consumer media to support income generation and have exceptional news sense, with the ability to take a creative approach when seeking out new media opportunities.
