About the Role

We are seeking a Resilience Duty Worker to join our Integrated Whole Family Recovery Service across Hertfordshire. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support young people affected by substance use and associated safeguarding risks—helping to reduce harm, build resilience and improve outcomes.

This is a varied, frontline role requiring strong engagement skills, sound judgement and a clear understanding of safeguarding practice. You will work flexibly across the county, responding to need and ensuring timely access to appropriate pathways.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Act as a key point of entry into the service, processing referrals and completing initial triage assessments.

• Identify, respond to and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance and best practice.

• Reduce drug- and alcohol-related harm for young people and the wider community through evidence-based interventions.

• Hold a small caseload, delivering brief interventions focused on substance use and risk reduction.

• Manage and monitor waiting lists, maintaining contact with young people awaiting allocation to a keyworker.

• Advocate for access to partner services and coordinate support across agencies.

• Support positive, holistic outcomes for young people’s health and wellbeing—reducing risk and increasing resilience.

• Monitor referrals, identify appropriate treatment pathways and ensure timely progression through services.

• Work peripatetically across Hertfordshire to meet the needs of young people and families.

Our independent visitor service provides looked after children and young people with an adult volunteer who spends time with them, offering support and friendship whilst being a positive role model to enable young people to build on their confidence and self-esteem, whilst helping learn new skills and raise their aspirations.

The Vacancy

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic IV Coordinator, to work 28 hours per week who will be responsible for the day to day running of the independent visitor service.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a pool of volunteers which includes the recruitment, training, and induction of new volunteers to become volunteer independent visitors, before matching them with a young person who has been referred to the service.

You will provide continuous support to volunteers to ensure that the service is being delivered to a high standard, and that children and young people are safeguarded at all times.

You will also be responsible for monitoring volunteer visits, budgets and ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken as required, whilst acting as a link between NYAS and the local authority by liaising with social workers, carers and other professionals.

Community Fundraising

The Journey and Cross Sell team sits within the Content and Conversion team in the Marketing and Communications capability. The main focus of the Journey and Cross-sell manager will be:

· Developing engaging email and multi-channel journeys to help people hear better now, protect the nation’s hearing and change public attitudes towards deaf people

· Identifying key opportunities to connect new and existing donor audiences with our work to transform society, systems and the lives of individuals, one by one

· Connecting our different audiences with the most appropriate next engagement with RNID so that we can continue and deepen our relationship with them

You will be responsible for improving and iterating on existing supporter journeys, and developing new supporter journeys, setting priorities and contributing to cross-sell strategy, measuring performance effectively every step of the way.

You will: 

· Build, design and deliver supporter journeys on Microsoft Dynamics that engage audiences and encourage them to take actions, such as donating, campaigning or looking after their hearing health 

· Work closely with colleagues in Marcomms, Insight and Policy and Fundraising to develop supporter journeys tailored to different audiences 

· Maintain oversight of journeys and email across the charity, ensuring supporters receive communications that are timely, relevant and effective 

· Set and monitor journey KPIs, helping to create an insight-led culture of test, learn and continuous improvement

Are you passionate about improving river health and supporting nature-based solutions? We’re looking for an Eden Catchment and Cluster Officer to lead a focused programme of work within the Eden Catchment in Kent. This largely rural area includes towns such as Oxted, Edenbridge, Godstone, and Lingfield, with agricultural land use playing a key role in catchment pressures.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in understanding environmental challenges, engaging stakeholders, and driving initiatives that improve water quality and slow the flow. You’ll also play a vital part in supporting the Eden Valley Farm Cluster, working alongside partners Bore Place and SES Water to deliver nature recovery projects.

• Catchment Review
  • Lead a comprehensive review of the Eden Catchment, combining desk-based research and fieldwork.
  • Identify, map, and prioritise environmental pressures.
  • Explore opportunities for nature-based solutions and partnership funding.

  • Produce clear reports with findings, recommendations, and progress updates.
  • Deliver regulatory reporting outputs and present evidence to SES Water’s Environmental Scrutiny Panel.

About the role

As one of the Lead Worker you will play a role in supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing assessment, coaching advice and advocacy, whilst linking individuals into services that provide support.

The key to success will be your ability to make collaborative, consistent and psychologically informed relationships with services, colleagues, and partner organisations. You will have the ability to empower and upskill service users to be proactive in their accommodation search. You will provide support with practical aspects of their route out of homeless, including access to housing, benefits, and other relevant needs. You will Lead Work a caseload and provide effective case management in line with the Crisis Case Management Framework.

Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:

• Passionate about and dedicated to ending homelessness.  

• Comprehensive understanding and experience of accessing housing via private rented sector, local authorities, housing associations, supported providers and others.  

• Good knowledge of issues affecting homeless people, including housing, welfare issues, trauma, substance use, involvement in criminal justice services, and social isolation 

• Proven track record of successfully using coaching, IAG or psychologically informed approaches with people who have experience homelessness. 

• Skills and experience in partnership working and networking.

• Flexible and adaptable to change. 

• Strong team player, able to use own initiative and reflect on your own practice. 

• Previous experience in the voluntary or statutory sector with a focus on working alongside marginalised people or groups.
