At The Hygiene Bank, we believe everyone should be able to feel clean.
Yet millions of people across the UK are unable to afford the everyday hygiene products many of us take for granted. Hygiene poverty can affect people’s health, confidence, education, employment and ability to participate fully in everyday life.
The Hygiene Bank brings communities, businesses and volunteers together to provide essential hygiene products to people who need them. Through our national network of local projects and Community Partners, we distributed 394,000kg of products last year – more than 1,000kg every day.
We are also working to increase understanding of hygiene poverty and build the partnerships, evidence and influence needed to create lasting change.
The Head of Fundraising will lead the development and delivery of The Hygiene Bank’s fundraising strategy, helping us to maintain and grow a diverse, resilient and sustainable income base.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to organisational decision-making, ensuring that our fundraising plans reflect our priorities, evidence of need and resonate in the external funding environment.
You will lead income generation across trusts and foundations, individual giving, major donors, events and community fundraising.
Our Corporate & Brand team leads on corporate income generation and securing donated products. You will work closely with them to identify shared opportunities, develop strong propositions and build partnerships that combine funding, product donations and wider strategic engagement.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You will lead and develop the Fundraising Officer while remaining actively involved in building relationships, developing propositions and securing funding.
We are a small charity with a big ambition: we believe hygiene poverty can be ended. This role will help turn that ambition into action by building the sustainable income and relationships needed to increase our reach and create lasting change.
