About the Health & Safety and Environment team:
The team is a multi-tasking team that undertakes most Health and Safety tasks in-house, working closely with most other teams within Cats Protection. The team is made up of a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator and 4 regional officers who cover the whole of the UK. The team deal with the Cats Protection retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, branch volunteer enquiries and more.
What we’re looking for in our Environment & Sustainability Lead:
- An environment and sustainability specialist with strong experience of leading the development and implementation of environmental plans or ESG strategy
- Degree in environment management/sustainability or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders to drive change
- Experience of engaging colleagues to foster a positive environmental sustainability culture, and develop and implement sustainability plans.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks, carbon management, and sustainability reporting standards
- Experience of managing multiple projects or programmes

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. This role is responsible for delivering Coeliac UK’s 5-year fundraising strategy to maximise return-on-investment, grow long term supporter value, and contribute to the charity’s mission.
The Head of Public Fundraising will embed and deliver comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing Coeliac UK’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.
Who are we looking for?
Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of role across multiple income streams, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income. The Olive Ridley Project is a UK-registered international conservation charity dedicated to protecting sea turtles and their habitats through rescue & conservation medicine, scientific research, education & community engagement.
Since our founding in 2013, we've grown into a leading voice for sea turtle conservation, delivering programmes across the Maldives, Kenya, Oman, Pakistan, and the Seychelles. We operate one of the largest sea turtle photo-identification databases in the Indian Ocean, provide specialist veterinary care to injured sea turtles at three clinical facilities in the Maldives, and work with governments, communities, and businesses to create lasting conservation impact.
As we enter an exciting new phase, we're looking for an experienced fundraiser to help strengthen and diversify our income so we can achieve even more.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You may already be working as a Senior Fundraising Manager, or perhaps you're an experienced Corporate Partnerships, Trusts or Major Donor fundraiser looking for your first broader fundraising leadership role.
Working closely with our CEO, you'll help deliver our fundraising strategy while remaining hands-on in securing income from corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and major donors. A particular focus will be developing our corporate partnerships programme and building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with businesses.
As our fundraising function continues to grow, you'll have genuine opportunities to shape our approach, influence strategic decisions, and expand your own responsibilities.
