Together, we aim to ensure that within five years, at least half of everyone living with myasthenia in the UK knows, trusts and actively engages with myaware as their community, their advocate and their voice.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.

myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families. We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising. There is also a full-time Fundraising Officer in the team who will provide some support for this role. This will include oversight of our internal IT systems: our Salesforce CRM, the Hub virtual learning environment for pupils, tutors and teachers on our programmes, and the Tutor Zone onboarding platform for our tutors. The role will require working closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that the technology developments are well planned and fit with the needs of the charity. You will manage a small technology team including web developers and Salesforce administrators, alongside managing our external IT support provider. You will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues. You will be willing to learn and have a can-do attitude.
The role requires a driven and focused leader, with experience in managing the development of software. They will be an experienced technology professional, with a proven track record in scoping and managing technology projects, ensuring information security, and maintaining a keen interest in emerging technologies and industry trends. In this role of Relationship Fundraising Executive in the Community Fundraising team, you will support delivery of the fundraising strategy in our communities to grow income and support for Action for Children.
You will steward our supporters in London and South East of England with their fundraising activity, supporting sports participants, fundraising groups, community corporate partners, DIY fundraisers, Methodists, and more.
