This is an opportunity to join our dynamic team in delivering Independent Professional Advocacy across our projects in Gwynedd and Anglesey. We can offer up to 37 hours per week but are willing to be flexible as we are seking a number of candidates. .

NWAAA are looking for someone who shares our passion about people's rights, who has a sound understanding of the barriers faced by marginalised groups, along with a good knowledge of care and support services and the laws which underpin those services.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be able to confidently build relationships with a broad range of people. They will be self-motivated with strong time management and organisational abilities. Above all they will have a commitment to empowering and protecting the rights of vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals.

Prior advocacy experience is not essential but you should have some experience in working with diverse groups of people, other public and/or voluntary sector services, and be confident in networking with different agencies. Specialist Advocacy training will be provided to the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to hybrid-work between office and home bases. There is a travel expectation so access to own transport is essential. Due to the nature of our services and the location we operate in, fluency in Welsh is essential for at least one of the posts we are recruiting for.

Brief role description

The NST Client Advisor plays a key role in the Nova Support Team, acting as the first point of contact for veterans who have served in the UK armed forces and are at risk of, or are involved in, the criminal justice system. About the programme: ABC Parents Programme

The ABC Parents Programme empowers parents from the most deprived wards in Enfield and Haringey to increase their confidence and improve appropriate use of services across health and social care through child health workshops and networks of peer-to-peer support for parents.

The programme is delivered in community venues by a range of staff working in children’s community health services and Child Health Champions. They are supported by multi-agency practitioners from the hospital, primary care and voluntary sectors in Enfield and Haringey.

The programme is delivered in partnership with North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust (NMUH), The Bridge Renewal Trust, Every Parent and Child, Public Health Haringey, NCL CCG and other local multi-sector agencies.

About the role: Child Health Community Champions

The Child Health Champions Lead will recruit and provide ongoing support to a small team of Child Health Community Champions (CHCC). This will include:

· Supporting professional development through carrying out training needs assessments of the CHCCs and identifying appropriate training

· Alongside the Project Coordinator, planning workshops incorporating CHCCs strengths

· Holding regular meetings and quarterly Wellbeing sessions with CHCCs

· Being responsible for the recruitment and deployment of creche workers where required

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual who understands community engagement and has experience of successfully managing a community project and providing group leadership.

The Child Health Champions Lead will be employed by Every Parent & Child and will work as a member of the ABC Parents Program Team based at NMUH.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Engaging Community Champions

· Actively recruit new Child Health Community Champions (CHCC) and support their training.

· Working with the CHCC, identify professional training needs, develop ideas through to delivery.

· Arrange regular meetings with the CHCC to provide support and seek feedback to support monitoring and the impact of their intervention.

· Liaise with the Project Co-ordinator in planning sessions/workshops, working to the strengths of the CHCC. The Child Health Champions Lead will be parent-facing, on-site at community sessions when required.

· To organise quarterly Wellbeing sessions for CHCC.

· To liaise with CHCC to manage their attendance at workshops.

· Regularly provide performance feedback to CHCC, supporting their professional development and maintaining motivation.

2. Development and Delivery of Workshops

· Attend and support all Health and Wellbeing workshops for Community Champions.

· Where appropriate, attend and/or support the workshops run by Community Champions.

· Maintain active communication with Creche workers, professionally responding to queries, and actively engaging in finding solutions to challenges.

· Where appropriate, to support the Project Co-ordinator with setting up the training room and resources, always observing Health and Safety risk to self and others.

· To maintain an accurate record of incidents arising at the workshops and report to the CEO and the ABC Parents Project Co-ordinator.

3. Engaging with Creche Workers

· Identify and recruit Creche workers, maintaining an active bank of workers on account.

· Liaise with Creche workers to ensure their attendance at workshops.

· To receive and verify invoices from Creche workers.

· To provide feedback to the Creche worker, thus ensuring they can respond effectively to the needs of the service.

4. Other Duties

· Complete DBS checks for all CHCC and to maintain accurate records.

· To understand, promote and implement Every Parent & Child’s equality policy, recognising social and cultural diversity in the delivery of services, management of facilities, contract management and staff/volunteer recruitment and management.

· To escalate Child Protection/Safeguarding concerns to the CEO and maintain an accurate record of all escalated concerns.

· To comply with the statutory provisions of all Health and Safety, associated legislations and all Trust policies and procedures, including commitment to ethical and environmentally sustainable practices.

· To be able to work flexible hours to meet service needs, including working some evenings and weekends.

· To work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.

· To undertake training relevant to the post.

· Constructively provide feedback on issues/concerns to the Project Co-ordinator and the CEO of Every Parent & Child.

· Undertake administration duties commensurate with the post.

· Contribute data regarding Champions activities for the quarterly reports and evaluation.

· Liaise with the Project Co-ordinator and the CEO of Every Parent & Child to produce data/reports as required for reporting purposes.

· Attend staff and other project-related meetings as necessary. These may be held over video and/or face-to-face in Enfield or Haringey.

· Maintain an updated mailing list, including, but not limited to, the Child Health Community Champions.

· Consistently demonstrate integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and be an ambassador for the service.

As Welcome Team Leader you will work as part of the Engagement team, leading a team of Welcome Hosts to provide a warm welcome and overall excellent visitor experience at Southwark Cathedral. Acting as a central point of contact, you will lead, support and develop the Welcome Team to deliver a friendly and engaging visit and ensure a high standard of customer service. You will work closely with the Head of Engagement to support the development of the Welcome Team through training and support, organise rotas and ensure adequate cover of all positions, and support the overall goal to increase visitor numbers, donations and visitor engagement.

• Working within a heritage, public engagement or visitor attraction setting

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact with Welcome Team acting for daily visitor engagement operations, liaising with other onsite teams, including Vergers, Retail, Property and Enterprise;
• Line manage the paid Welcome Team, ensuring a high standard of welcome and visitor service is provided;
• Carry out regular walk rounds of the site to support Welcome Team members, collaborate and provide feedback and ensure standards are consistently met;

• Handle complaints procedure and any difficult customers;
• Manage the recording of daily visitor numbers and donation figures;
• Take the lead on card payments for on the day ticket sales for public and group tours, and other engagement events;
• Attend the Health and Safety Committee and ensure the Welcome Team are confident and compliant with all health, safety, security and safeguarding policies and procedures;
• Take an active role in providing visitors with information about the Cathedral and its history, upcoming events, donation points, services and more;
• Communicate with pre-booked and un-booked tour groups requiring access to the Cathedral;
• Refer any visitor in need of pastoral care to the Day Chaplain or clergy;
• Encourage visitors to donate to the Cathedral through the various platforms available in the Cathedral and online and to encourage those making a donation to Gift Aid it should they be eligible to do so;
• Direct visitors to the Cathedral Shop and Café encouraging secondary spend;
• Promote the sale of information products such as the Visitor Map and Guidebook;

Purpose of the role

To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within Sheffield Northern General Hospital, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres). 

Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.

To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements. 

Key responsibilties 

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Contributing towards report writing through the writing case studies and narrative to support data collection. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Deliver awareness raising presentations to clinical colleagues and departments. 

• Organise and facilitate outpatient and in person legal clinic drop-in sessions. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Work closely in partnership with our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training. 

• Participate in external clinical supervision and monthly caseworker reflective practice to sessions to effectively explore and uphold professional boundaries within a safe, structure and supportive environment.

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for the role Head of Flood Support – Hybrid with significant travel in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with communities, especially those at risk of flooding. This role is to support our Flood Support Work, encompassing the delivery of a professional Helpline and Community based Flood Recovery activity.

The National Flood Forum is a national charity founded by those affected by flooding, working to support and represent individuals and communities at risk. The organization focuses on empowering flood-affected communities to recover and improve flood resilience. Role Overview:

This role is a member of the organisation’s management team and has responsibility for the delivery of our flood support work. The postholder will lead the delivery of a professional helpline service and oversee reactive and proactive flood support services to communities and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Flood Support: Lead and manage high-quality proactive and reactive Flood Support Services for communities and businesses at risk of, and impacted by, flooding, including helpline & recovery services and management of the flood support vehicle. Ensure service quality through performance management, maintaining service consistency, maximising strategic impact, championing best practice, and delivering against objectives.
• Stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain key partnerships with Risk Management authorities, (RMAs), and other stakeholders. • Research and Evidence: Oversee flood support research, collecting and evaluating evidence to strengthen advocacy. Provide insight to support policy and practice influence.
• Income: Identify, scope, and lead the development of high-quality engagement contracts, working with teams and management to prioritise and secure income.
• Political and Fundraising support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political engagement and fundraising. Attend relevant meetings.

· People Management: Manage a matrix team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and development. Mentor team members and ensure skills and competence are maintained to achieve high performance

Having successfully implemented Salesforce for donor management, we are now expanding the platform to support our international field operations. 

Working as part of our International Salesforce team, you will configure a brand‑new Salesforce NPC platform, integrate it with our existing NPSP donor system, and provide day‑to‑day support to users across 18 countries. You’ll be a Salesforce product champion - triaging support tickets, delivering configuration changes, supporting testing, and helping drive continuous improvement across the organisation. 

This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with our Salesforce Developer & Product Owner, Project Manager, and stakeholders around the world. Occasional travel to our London office and internationally may be required. 

About you 

You are a certified Salesforce Administrator with strong experience building and configuring Salesforce from scratch. You’re a confident communicator, an excellent problem solver, and comfortable supporting and training users in an international environment. Experience with NPSP and / or NPC is required. You must be a fluent English speaker with the right to work in one of the following countries: UK, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Romania or Ukraine.

The Hainault Forest Visitor Centre Assistant is an integral part of the team delivering a welcoming and memorable experience for visitors to Hainault Forest. Working in the Woodland Trust’s visitor centre, the role will assist with retail operations, provide excellent customer service, support various visitor engagement activities, and promote ways that visitors can support our cause - including Woodland Trust membership. This role contributes to enhancing the visitor experience while supporting the Woodland Trust’s mission. Our work at Hainault Forest is delivered in partnership with London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL.

The Role:

• Provide a warm, welcoming experience for visitors by sharing information about the forest, facilities, activities, and key site features, and responding to general enquiries.
• Promote the Trust’s membership offer and actively encourage sign-ups as part of the visitor experience.
• Support the delivery of events such as local walks workshops, often with children on an occasional basis.
• Work as part of the Visitor Centre team to manage building operations, including opening and closing procedures, upkeep of shared spaces, and handling financial transactions and cashing up.
• Deliver high-quality retail service, including operating the till efficiently, maintaining the retail area to a high standard, restocking and rotating stock, and ensuring strong visual merchandising.
• Contribute to retail performance by supporting stock selection and stock level decisions, monitoring sales, and helping to develop the retail offer to maximise income generation at the forest.
• Provide occasional support with social media by creating content and posting on relevant platforms to help promote the site and its activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners, while following all health and safety procedures and adhering to data protection regulations when handling personal information
• This role will be based in the Hainault Forest Visitor Centre. You would be expected to live locally or within a reasonable travelling distance.

The Candidate:

• Experience working in a retail and/or customer-facing environment, with knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems, visual merchandising and stock management processes.
• Ability to manage your own time effectively within agreed working hours, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Comfortable working independently using your own initiative, while also being a reliable and collaborative team member.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage confidently and appropriately with a range of audiences including children and young people.
• A basic understanding of health and safety practices relevant to public-facing environments.
• Confident using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• A welcoming, organised, reliable, and passionate approach, with a genuine enthusiasm for nature and a desire to connect people with Hainault Forest and the Woodland Trust’s mission.
• Willingness to learn about Hainault Forest and the Woodland Trust, and subject to pre-employment checks including right-to-work, references and an enhanced DBS check.
• The successful candidate will be required to be over the age of 18 and required to undertake an Enhanced Background Check, as part of our pre-employment screening.

About the role

You will play a crucial role in making sure our volunteer-focused Learning and Development function runs smoothly and effectively. You will be the first point of contact for learning and development queries, helping volunteers and colleagues resolve issues. You will be responsible for managing the full learner journey, from booking through to completion, ensuring a positive experience and identifying improvements when this is not the case.

You will build strong experience in a Learning and Development operational role within a national volunteer network. You will develop skills in problem solving, service improvements and stakeholder management. You will also gain exposure to SSAFA’s Learning Management System and to general system and process design.

You will have the opportunity to improve the volunteer learning experience by streamlining processes and communications and help to shape how learning is promoted and accessed, as well as supporting the delivery and access to a variety of training events.

This is a varied role with the chance to support volunteers who make meaningful differences to beneficiaries lives each day.
