Job Purpose
Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.
The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers Monday to Friday. Helpline opening times are subject to change, based on the needs and requirements of carers using the service.
The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support to carers in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.
Key responsibilities
Advice giving
· Answering telephone calls into a central helpline offering support and guidance to unpaid carers in Manchester.
· Provide relevant and meaningful support and information to unpaid carers utilising internal and external resources.
· Inform carers about carers assessments and refer where necessary.
· Inform carers about emergency grants available and refer where necessary.
· Ensure all advice and support given is delivered in a timely manner to suit the needs of carers calling the helpline whilst balancing waiting callers.
Follow-up support
· Refer unpaid carers to local services to access local and culturally appropriate support in their area.
· Refer carers to Adult Social Care for Carers Assessments to discuss and improve their caring situation.

· Research and explore options and implications so that carers can make informed decisions.
· Write and maintain detailed case records for all casework completed.

Our dedicated Retail team plays a key role in raising essential funds to enable Tŷ Hafan’s care provision through our hospice and community programmes which support life-limited children and their families in Wales. We strive to be an innovative, supportive, and agile team, working to collectively deliver ambitious goals.
Our retail network raises money for the Charity from the sale of donated goods (mainly clothing, bric-a-brac and household goods) to the general public, a small amount of bought-in ‘new’ goods, and the sale of tickets for the charity’s ‘Crackerjackpot’ weekly lottery. Income is also generated from cash donations, gift aid on donated goods and the sale of waste clothing and household goods to recycling merchants. Each salaried Shop Manager is supported by 1 or 2 salaried Deputies and a team of volunteers.

Salford Foundation is looking for an experienced, values-driven Head of Finance & Resources to join our Senior Management Team and play a key role in ensuring the organisation is financially sustainable, well governed and equipped to deliver lasting impact for local people.
This is a varied and hands-on leadership role combining strategic responsibility with operational delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead our finance function while providing oversight of people, IT, facilities, data protection and organisational compliance.
You will be responsible for financial planning and reporting, budgeting, risk management and governance, while supporting colleagues across the organisation with the systems, processes and resources they need to succeed. You will also act as the Foundation's Data Protection Officer and lead officer to the Audit and Risk Committee.
About you
You will be a qualified accountant with strong financial management experience and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a wide range of audiences. You will be comfortable operating both strategically and operationally, bringing a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to leadership.
You will have experience of supporting organisational decision-making, managing people and resources, and building effective relationships with colleagues, trustees and external partners.
