We are seeking a Research Officer to join our Policy and Research team.This is a varied role, supporting both longer-term strategic research and responsive research consultancy projects, including programme evaluations.  The Research Officer will work closely with the wider Research team to collect, analyse and communicate evidence that informs policy, practice development and service improvement across the sector.  This will include both quantitative and qualitative research and working with frontline services, partners and people with lived experience of homelessness.

The successful candidate will have a good foundation in quantitative and qualitative research, strong communication skills, and an openness to continuous learning and problem solving. This role would suit someone looking to build their experience in applied social research while contributing to evidence that supports a better response to preventing and ending homelessness.

About the role:

At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation Service, nights matter. They can be the point where worry, distress, conflict or risk comes to the surface - and where calm, skilled leadership can make all the difference. As Night Manager, you will lead the overnight service, making sure young people experience safety, consistency and support when they need it most.

You will be the senior operational decision-maker overnight, leading the night team to respond confidently to incidents, safeguarding concerns, missing young people procedures, building safety, visitor access and any actions handed over from the day team. You’ll work with a high level of independence, while knowing when to liaise with the on-call manager, emergency services or wider management team to keep young people, staff and the building safe.

This is also a role about connection. You’ll line manage, support and guide Night Workers, oversee locum or agency staff where needed, and make sure overnight learning, handovers and emerging themes are shared clearly with the Service Manager and wider team. Through trauma informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed practice, you’ll help build a service where night and day support feels joined up, purposeful and ambitious for young people’s futures.

About you:

• You are calm, confident and steady under pressure, with the judgement to manage risk overnight and know when to escalate.
• You have experience supporting, supervising or leading staff in supported accommodation, youth work, social care, housing or a similar setting.
• You understand the needs, strengths and risks of young people in high support accommodation, including safeguarding, trauma, distress and non-engagement.
• You can create clear structure without losing warmth, building a team culture where staff feel supported, accountable and able to do their best work.
• You communicate clearly and confidently, with strong records, handovers and partnership working that help keep support joined up across day and night.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

This role covers Thames Valley and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

Role Purpose
We are looking to recruit a talented, dynamic and professional Engagement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the Flintshire Befrienders project. 
Flintshire Befrienders is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supports older people experiencing social isolation and loneliness.  Our team of Volunteer Befrienders provide companionship, help to build confidence, and encourage engagement in the local community.  The project consists of:

· One-to-one befriending in a person’s home, or over the telephone

· Community buddying – support to attend local community groups and events

· Volunteer-led events – activities that older people can engage in, based on their interests

The right candidate would be someone with experience of supporting and managing volunteers, working with older people facing isolation and loneliness, as well as someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate a commitment to our organisational values.

The Role:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Communications Officer with at least three years’ experience in digital marketing and communications to help raise awareness of Carers’ Resource, promote our services and strengthen engagement with carers, supporters, partners and the wider community.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting campaigns, creating engaging content and helping to ensure unpaid carers know where and how to access support.

Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation, you will help deliver effective marketing and communications activity that reflects the values, voice and impact of Carers’ Resource.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging marketing and communications activity across digital and print channels.

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the finance team at St Mungo’s.

Working as part of this small and fast paced team you will play a key role in maximising commercial and service benefits, minimising risk and delivering continuous improvement, that truly make a difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

In the role of Contracts Manager you will:

• Have the opportunity to develop and implement long-term strategic project plans, policies and procedures.
• Deliver savings through a robust risk and issue management process and ensure best practice contract management processes across St Mungo’s.
• Build strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, providing contract management expertise to the Leadership team and managing high value external contracts, ensuring suppliers conform to contractual terms.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Farringdon, London. About you

We are looking for someone who can utilise their problem solving, communication and influencing skills to work as part of a team.

• A relevant CIPS qualification, or proven equivalent work experience.
• Experience of dealing with a variety of categories of expenditure, such as professional services, IT systems, energy, and insurance.
• Working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and public contract regulations.
• Show your track record of developing, monitoring, and managing high‑value contracts at a senior level.

You will assess each client’s situation in depth, identifying the most appropriate strategies to resolve their debt issues while exploring every opportunity to maximise income. Through practical support and casework, you will take the necessary steps to halt creditor action, prepare accurate financial statements, make repayment offers, and apply strategies to reduce, write off and manage debt effectively. Alongside this, you will provide budgeting guidance to help clients regain control of their finances and build long‑term stability. Your ability to work confidently with third parties—including local authorities, bailiffs, landlords and lenders—will be essential in preventing enforcement action and resolving arrears.
