Job Title: Night Engagement Worker 

Location: This role is based in Redbridge. The service is a short walk from Gants Hill Underground Station. The area is also served by multiple bus routes, including 114, 121, 128, 150, and 272, offering direct local and regional connections for staff commuting to the service. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday 20:30 - 08:30. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements, which includes weekends and bank holidays which form part of your rota

About the Role

We’re looking for a Night Engagement Worker to join the team in Redbridge. You will support within the Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation to support in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. The service delivers support for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. Penrose OPD HASS service offers specialist accommodation to people with high risk/high needs and require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.

You will assist with those who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions, that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps forward.
• Creating one to one person centred support plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times during the shift, including regular check ins and carrying our protocols.
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
• Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.

About You

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who may be deemed as having a personality disorder and have been referred to us by the criminal justice service. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs.

• Understanding of Personality Disorder and the Criminal Justice System
• Experience in working with people of different backgrounds which may be complex.
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Comfortable working with people who have different types of histories of behaviours which have led to in-prison sentencing.
• Awareness of external opportunities which are available such as with education, employment and benefits
• Organised and proactive in managing tasks like welfare checks, safeguarding, and accurate record keeping
• Confidence in identifying when someone may be struggling with their mental or physical health, substance use, or other challenges, and knowing how to respond
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic NYAS Cymru team.  We are currently seeking to appoint a Project Worker to conduct Return Home Interviews with children and young people living in South Wales, who have returned after being missing from home or care. This role will be full time, working 35 hours per week, and will be fixed term for 6 months with the possibility of extension (maternity cover). The role will be home based with some travel to a Basic Command Unit in Swansea Neath Port Talbot or Cwm Taf Morgannwg (Bridgend, Merthyr and Rhondda Cynon Taff). 

Working alongside our project worker team and partner agency, South Wales Police, you will provide support for children and young people to explore the reasons for being missing, identifying risks and vulnerabilities to exploitation, ensuring reports are completed within the agreed timescale.

The successful candidate will work on an agile basis and will primarily involve extensive travel across the Swansea Neath Port Talbot area or Cwm Taf Morgannwg area with occasional requests for return home interview support across the force wide area.

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic team member with significant experience of direct work with children and young people, within a social care environment, including those who have been and / or at risk of being exploited.  You will have the ability to work creatively with children and young people, responding to high service demand, with excellent interpersonal and report writing skills.

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a IAP Psychological Lead a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. • Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

The LJS Community Care Co-ordinator is central to/at the heart of the care and advice provided to our members of all ages, where needed.

We are seeking someone who is confident in communicating with a range of people across generations, and empathising with those in stressful situations. Experience of working with volunteers, being motivated to help solve problems and alleviate difficulties, and familiarity with Social Services and Jewish community services are primary attributes.

Liaising with our Rabbis and lead volunteers to provide advice and help to members, preparing casework supervision, and maintaining communication with Social Services, appropriate charities and agencies are central responsibilities

This is also a pivotal role in ongoing safeguarding guidance and training; working with bereaved members and their families together with the Rabbis and the Synagogue Bereavement Support Team; and the training and support needs for LJS volunteers.

The role

The Individual Giving team is responsible for driving growth and income sustainability across Individual Giving (one-off donations, Regular Giving, Lottery) In Memory Giving, Legacy Giving and Major Giving. This is an exciting role and it will suit somebody who enjoys working across our different fundraising products, with particular focus on one-off donations, Regular Giving and In Memory Giving. The role will focus on the acquisition and stewardship of donors, maintaining a fantastic donor journey for longer term engagement. The role holder will need to own and manage their workstreams, drawing on the expertise of other in-house teams from Marketing to Finance. The need for accuracy in data and administrative work requires the role holder to have a keen eye for detail and a respect for processes and regulations.

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Experience of working directly in a community based context (including unpaid work)
• Experience of supporting people with a mental health need and or complexities/vulnerabilities
• Experience of delivering one to one support
• Experience of partnership/collaborative working and of building relationships across a variety of organisations
• Knowledge of VCSE and community services in the locality

As our Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager, you'll lead our presence across social media, email, paid campaigns, and web. Your work will drive people to our National Gambling Helpline and digital support tools. You'll partner with creative agencies, dig into what the data tells us, and work closely with our Clinical Services team to share the stories that matter. This isn't just campaigns and metrics. It's about making sure the right people find help when they're ready for it.

About you

You have real experience of building and managing digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels. You know your way around paid media, social platforms, email marketing, and content strategy. You're comfortable with GA4 and analytics tools, and you can translate numbers into strategy that actually moves the needle. More than that, you're someone who spots opportunities and pushes for improvements. You communicate well, work collaboratively with people across teams and organisations, and you genuinely care about working on something that matters. As an Internal Auditor, you will carry out detailed financial audits across a wide range of social care settings, including residential care, supported living, and extra care services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and unplanned financial audits nationwide, typically completing three audits per week (including occasional overnight stays).

Role Overview:

As a Charity Fundraiser with Social Media and Digital Marketing experience, you will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and funds for our cause. You will leverage your expertise in fundraising, social media strategy, and digital marketing to develop and execute innovative campaigns that inspire individuals and organisations to engage and contribute. Key Responsibilities:

Although mostly working autonomously, you will be working with, and representing SCUK on the international Marketing and Communications Advisory Group to ensure a cohesive approach (the Communications and fund raising teams from the various Stephen’s Children entities in other nations): 

• Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns:
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with the charity’s mission and goals.
  • Manage and grow fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms, including social media, email, and digital channels, as well as occasionally organising and attending fund raising events.
  • Identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and corporate CSR partners to grow the charity’s financial support base.
  • Organize and manage online and occasional in person fundraising events, appeals, and virtual initiatives.
• Social Media & Digital Marketing:
  • Create and manage engaging content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, etc.) to promote fundraising efforts, events, and the charity's mission.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, paid ads, and influencer collaborations.

• Donor Relationship Management:

• Availability to visit the work in Cairo at least once per year (funded by the Charity).

Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. This is a person-centred, recovery-focused role working with a caseload of up to 35 individuals. You will support people to identify their goals, access mainstream opportunities such as education, physical activity, cultural groups and volunteering, and gradually reduce reliance on statutory services where appropriate.

The role combines direct one-to-one support, partnership working with mental health professionals and community organisations, and the development of group activities at Fairfield House, Croydon. You will play a key role in enabling people to rebuild independence, confidence and community connections.
