About the role
We are recruiting for two posts, one of which will be focussed on our Legacy Project in Blackpool.
You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and work with people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities. You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.
The role also works in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. In the case of the longer term role, you will be working at least two days a week in community settings in Blackpool. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.
About you
You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions. A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

Catching Lives is a community charity, currently staffed by a team of 10. We’re in the process of expanding with current recruitment, so that we can introduce community-based support alongside strengthening our core day centre offer.
The successful candidate will complete a structured induction that includes shadowing colleagues and visiting local services. Staff typically attend weekly team meetings on Wednesday afternoons, as well as having regular 1-1s with their line manager, and there is confidential access to an employee assistance scheme. Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery - from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and enabling them to engage with education, employment and specialist health services. National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities.
Wintercomfort is the only day-time service in the city, providing year-round advice and support for homeless or vulnerably housed people. Over the past three decades Wintercomfort has continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the homeless community.

About you and the Role
The Tenancy Sustainment Project Worker will provide targeted, practical and relational support to individuals who have recently secured accommodation or who are at risk of losing their tenancy. This is an outreach-focused role, working proactively with people in community settings, partner agencies, drop-ins and other accessible locations to maintain engagement and offer support where it is most appropriate.
The role may occasionally involve contact in or around accommodation settings, but this would usually be planned and supported alongside other services where appropriate. The role will focus on preventing repeat homelessness by helping people stabilise their housing, understand and manage the responsibilities of a tenancy, and build the confidence and skills needed for independent living. Working in trusted community settings and in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector services, the postholder will act as a critical bridge between vulnerable individuals and the support systems available to them.

The Link Worker serviceis an essential part of theestablishedCitizens Advice Liverpool service andincreasestreatment options for health practitioners, and its highly motivated teamwork closely with health professionals andcommunity organisations to support patients to make lifestyle changes. The successful candidates will meet patients in a variety of settings and support them to develop a pathway to improved health and well-being. To provide this support you will need to develop a sound knowledge of local health, social and voluntary services.
This scheme will enable GPs to refer patients to social activities and other types of support to improve health and wellbeing. The new staff team will engage the patient and ‘co-design a non-clinicalsocial prescription serviceto improve their health and well-being using services provided by the voluntary and community sector’
TheLink Worker is responsible for enabling and supporting a patient to assess their needs, co-producing solutions for them making use of appropriate local resources.

As a wildlife charity serving a heavily urbanised area, a major element of our work is to provide ecological evidence and related information, that supports the designation of wildlife sites and informs the protection of nature in the face of urban development.
You will work within EcoRecord to deliver high quality data products and services to a range of customers and users. EcoRecord is part of a network of Local Environmental Records Centres across the UK and provides information services to a wide range of users such as local authorities, statutory agencies, ecological consultants, national and local recording schemes, and others.
The post of Biodiversity Data and Evidence Officer is a central and varied role within EcoRecord, that will include making use of GIS mapping and specialised databases to analyse and digitise ecological data. The role will also include promoting high quality biological recording activities, supporting specialist recording groups, and engaging with volunteers, including through our social media channels. You will assist with key aspects of the day-to-day operation of the records centre, including the maintenance, management, and development of core data sets and analytic processes.

In this role, you’ll
· Deliver training to shop teams and managers, supporting new initiatives (including eBay Live) and building capability through structured programmes.

· Lead national commercial initiatives and use data-driven insights to improve shop performance through targeted support

· Collaborate closely with Area Managers and Retail Support teams, planning activity at a national level to maximise impact, and sharing best practice across shops.

· Experienced in designing and delivering engaging training, both face-to-face and digital, simplifying complex information into practical learning.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. You will be undertaking all initial triage assessments and processing these on the database and allocating these to each Keyworker.
