We’re looking for a talented Database Manager who can turn data into knowledge, helping us build meaningful relationships with our supporters and grow the income that makes our care possible.

Hours: 20 hours per week. Hybrid working preferred although fully remote will be considered.

What is the role?

You’ll take ownership of our Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring it is accurate, efficient and used to its full potential across our fundraising and supporter engagement teams.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across fundraising, IT and finance, you’ll help us better understand our supporters, improve how we work, and make smarter decisions that support our long-term sustainability.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, with a new strategy in place and ambitious plans — giving you real scope to shape how data is used across the organisation.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

·To support the community work of Adoption UK Scotland and their kinship services, to provide professionals, parents/carers, children, and young people access to information, resources, and services for kinship communities and to engage with families in their local communities.

·To offer a front-line service, primarily to kinship families based in the East Lothian Community, by supporting delivery and administration for activities and events, including regular support groups delivery, youth and family events. Support of events in other areas in Scotland based on resources and availability.

·To hold and manage kinship care family cases, providing direct family support within service guidelines and delivery model.

·Support planning, organisation of, and attendance at, in person and online events through funded projects and services to bring together kinship families and individuals, enable peer support, build a sense of community and promote an active and supportive Community Network.

·To respond to enquiries received via the Information and Support Service and relevant email inboxes with relevant information and/or signposting.

·To be part of the wider kinship service team within Adoption UK Scotland, working across teams and services.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Working alongside service leads within the kinship teams, and with the wider community team members to plan and deliver specific events and activities for East Lothian Council Kinship community members, and kinship families in wider areas where resources and availability allows.

·Provide administrative coordination for community groups, including collating event materials, gathering feedback and evaluations for reporting purposes, supporting delivery of events, maintaining records using existing required systems, and responding to enquiries via our Information and Support line and relevant email inboxes.

·To facilitate referral meetings with new kinship carers accessing the East Lothian Kinship Support Service, including initial assessment of need to identify suitable support and signposting requirements

·To hold responsibility for administrative requirements relating to referrals and cases within the East Lothian Kinship Support Service, including setting up new cases and recording service delivery interactions, using existing Adoption UK systems and processes

·To work with colleagues in the Foundations for Families kinship support service to support delivery where time and resources allow, and coordinate activities between services where appropriate.

·To report to line manager and directors in Adoption UK Scotland relating to service delivery, including contributing to monitoring and reporting on activities.

·To work alongside Adoption UK colleagues to develop and improve resources and services for kinship carers

This role is available on a permanent contract, full-time basis. This is a hybrid role with travel to the charity’s office near Hitchen. The salary available for this position is £45,000-52,000 per annum (dependent on level of experience).
 
Within this HR Manager role, you will work closely with the Leadership Team and Managers and play a key role supporting with people management, providing support to leadership, recruitment and onboarding, policy, frameworks, and HR infrastructure. You will also look after learning and development, and talent development.

This role is central to Greenpeace UK’s legacy programme, managing a varied caseload from straightforward estates to complex and high-value cases. As a newly created position, it brings legacy administration fully in-house and will play a key role in ensuring income is realised in full, accurately managed, and delivered in line with best practice.

As Legacy Case Manager, you will: 

• Manage a caseload of residuary, pecuniary, life interest, discretionary, and high-value legacies, including contentious cases
• Lead on the preparation, monitoring and reporting of the legacy income budget and mid year forecasts, working closely with Finance and Fundraising colleagues to provide accurate, timely projections and variance analysis
• Work closely with internal teams and build effective external relationships with solicitors, executors and families to support positive outcomes
• Identify and resolve complex issues involving probate, trusts, tax, property, or litigation
• Represent Greenpeace UK externally with professionalism, fostering constructive relationships with pledgers, executors, solicitors, and sector peers
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Charity Commission guidance, and ILM best practice

Essential skills and experience:

• Substantial experience in charity legacy and estate administration, both contentious and non-contentious
• Significant knowledge of probate, trusts, tax, and property issues relevant to legacy casework
• Strong understanding of sector best practice in legacy administration and charity law
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume and varied caseload to deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Diplomacy, empathy, and resilience in handling contentious or sensitive cases

A legal, probate, or legacy administration qualification is advantageous but not required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 Variety is looking for a Trusts and Foundations Executive to join our Fundraising and Marketing Team. Reporting to the Trusts and Foundations Manager, the role will be vital in growing our income to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

You will be responsible for building and sustaining Variety’s growth across our Trust and Foundations portfolio by expanding our low and mid-sized supporters. You will pro-actively approach, secure and steward a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations (ranging from £500 to £20,000) and support the Trusts and Foundations Manager on larger applications and impact reporting.

You will be working with a supportive and knowledgeable team who regularly work from our office in the heart of Camden, London. This role will also require a DBS check.

Income generation

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 Essential

· Experience working within a fundraising team at a charity.

· Experience engaging with supporters across the cultivation cycle. For example, researching potential donors, engaging with or stewarding them.

· Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and confidently in-person and on the telephone.

· Strong creative writing skills, with experience gathering and simplifying complex information into accessible content.

· Excellent IT proficiency skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

About This Job

This role provides maternity cover for the First Aid Manager within the Cadet Activity team and is responsible for overseeing the delivery and governance of first aid training across the Army Cadets. The post holder will ensure that first aid provision aligns with national governing body requirements, maintain qualification records on the Cadet MIS, and provide expert guidance to volunteers delivering training. The role also involves acting as an Internal Quality Assessor, supporting syllabus development, and promoting first aid provision both internally and externally. In addition, the position supports national training delivery, quality assurance, and the effective management of first aid activities, ensuring safe, consistent and high-quality training opportunities for cadets and volunteers across the UK.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager you will be responsible for:

• Acting as the first point of contact for apprenticeship queries, training providers and internal stakeholders
• Helping promote apprenticeship opportunities internally and supporting recruitment and upskilling initiatives across the Harris Federation
• Providing support to manage the Harris Federation apprenticeship levy, tracking costs, progress and compliance with funding requirements
• Organising and promoting Apprenticeship events and information sessions across the Federation and academy sites, supporting senior leaders in promoting apprenticeships and recruiting future apprentices
• Supporting internal and external marketing for apprenticeship activities as part of wider employer branding and promoting engagement events to increase awareness and understanding of apprenticeships
• Facilitating an apprenticeship network and supporting development opportunities such as award nominations
• Maintaining and advising on safeguarding compliance, including neuro-inclusion, in alignment with the Ofsted framework, especially for under-18 apprentices

• Working with the marketing team to create marketing materials, update the Apprenticeship SharePoint, produce event leaflets and share internal communications promoting Apprenticeship programmes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• The ability to establish a new role in the Harris Federation and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver successful apprenticeship programmes
• Strong project management skills with experience of complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Experience of working across a large organisation, developing and delivering initiatives and maintaining stakeholder relationships
• The ability to travel to Federation academies in and around London and Essex as required

Working with the Managing Director of Legal Practice, the Heads of Department and Coram’s central finance team, the key objective of the role is to help maximise the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs. It will also oversee private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The role would suit a legal aid billing professional with significant direct hands on experience of a range of types of civil legal aid billing (including controlled and certificated work) and an understanding of the challenges of legal aid. The ideal candidate will have experience of supervising the work of others but support and training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is interested in developing into management, is a proactive problem solver, is highly organised and able to maintain oversight over different workstreams ensuring progress. In addition to legal aid experience, they will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. They will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of practice areas.
