We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual with strong project management skills to lead the delivery of the training function within the BSI. Reporting directly to the Director of Events and Training, and in collaboration with the wider BSI team, the Training Manager will be responsible for the delivery of existing training programmes and for devising, setting up and rolling out new training courses by working with BSI members to develop content and curricula, utilising different platforms from face-to-face to remote learning and supporting marketing of the courses to relevant sectors.

Role Summary

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research. They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.
About You
We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities. The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation. Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent. Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would be beneficial also.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Purpose of the role:

Key Responsibilities:

Doing all of our day-to-day fundraising administration to keep us well-organised and compliant. This includes:

Recording and monitoring fundraising data using our Fundraising Tracking Database

Keeping all of our grant agreements, contracts and other relevant documentation well-organised on GDrive and elsewhere

Ensuring compliance with the financial requirements of the grant agreements, and updating and maintaining the grant payments schedule

Raising invoices on Xero in line with funder agreements - noting instalment dates and receipts

About you:

The Role As the Individual Giving Manager, you will spearhead the expansion of our Regular Gifts, Individual Gifts, In Memory, Prize led and Legacy Marketing portfolio. This role involves managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, using insight to drive performance. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our individual giving programme, supported by a dedicated assistant and working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and supporter care and deputising for our Head of Fundraising and Trading when required. You will be instrumental in managing income streams projected to raise £300,000 this year, with ambitions for future growth.
About You You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in IG, RG or prize led fundraising, capable of securing significant income. Your skills include:

Role Overview:

Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker
Hours - variable and inconsistent including evenings and weekends
Salary - £12.77 per hour plus 15% Holiday Pay

The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in engagement and participation with vulnerable young people, care experienced children or have similar experience in child-facing settings. High level of flexibility required to cover weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Occasionally may be required to support with overnight residentials and night support within the foster home. Car driver and owning a car is essential. The Role
We’re looking for a relational, driven and values-led Fundraising Officer to lead our corporate, community, and campaign fundraising. You’ll build partnerships, run fundraising initiatives, and steward donors to help us reach more young people across the UK.
This role will focus on:

Donor campaigns and individual giving
Income tracking and stewardship
You’ll work alongside our Partnerships & Engagement Officer (who leads on challenge events and volunteering) and be supported by our Operations Manager. We’re aiming for £50,000–£75,000 in Year 1 income.
About You
* At least 1 year of fundraising experience or 2+ years in income generation
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Confident working independently and managing your own time
* Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g. Beacon, Airtable, Salesforce)
* £28,000 for a 4-day week (32 hours) with flexible, hybrid working
