Working closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Health Information and Communications & Engagement (especially our Digital team), you’ll deliver integrated, engaging, data‑led campaigns aligned with WCRF’s mission that inspire supporters, grow income and deepen long‑term relationships.

You’ll be a creative, organised and collaborative fundraiser with experience across at least two of the following areas: events, community fundraising and digital fundraising.

You’re confident leading projects from idea to delivery, enjoy working with data and insight, and are excited by testing new approaches.

Most importantly, you care deeply about supporter experience and are motivated by making a real difference.

Operations Director

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a values‑driven operational leader with significant experience in senior operations, systems, or transformation roles. You will bring strong technical capability in designing and embedding systems and processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce high‑quality management information for senior leaders and Boards.

The role

The Operations Director will lead the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Action Together’s systems, processes, and organisational infrastructure. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will co-design, develop, and maintain internal systems and processes that enhance operational delivery and organisational efficiency, ensuring they are fully embedded into day-to-day use with clear ownership, guidance, and effective performance monitoring.

You will oversee core central functions including HR, Communications and Impact, Data Protection and Information Management, and Health & Safety. You will play a key role in internal digital transformation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance. You will produce high‑quality management information that supports strategic decision‑making, work closely with Locality Directors to standardise and enhance delivery models. In addition, with reference to our constitution and Scheme of Delegation you will be responsible for supporting governance at Board meetings, and the AGM.

Finance Director

The role

The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring Action Together remains financially robust, sustainable, and compliant as a charity and employer. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will partner closely with the CEO and Board to shape a resilient business model, strengthen financial governance, and provide strategic direction that supports our mission and values.

You will lead and develop a high performing finance function, oversee annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning, and ensure high‑quality financial insight is available to the CEO, SLT and Board. The Finance Director has responsibility for the production of monthly accounts package, annual audit and statutory accounts, risk management, payroll assurance, investment strategy, and organisational compliance with Companies House, the Charity Commission, and all financial governance requirements.

You will play an integral role in supporting strong governance, working closely with the Treasurer and Board to provide clear, timely, and insightful financial performance updates, forecasts, and risk assessments.

You will also work with the Treasurer to shape investment strategy, strengthen financial controls, and uphold governance across all statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Team: Strategy and Engagement / Fundraising and Supporter Engagement 

As the Supporter Engagement and Giving Manager, you will help our organisation raise steady and reliable income at an exciting time, as we embed our new brand and five-year strategy. Your main role is to build strong relationships with our donors and to give them an excellent experience. This work is essential to ensure our Supporter and Giving Programme continues to bring in the donations we need to maximise our impact. 

You will lead the work to grow our donor community, managing a team of officers to deliver appeals, campaigns and stewardship activity. You will also look for new ways to connect with supporters and increase engagement across multiple communication channels. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Lead the team to deliver the planned programme of work across acquisition, retention and stewardship
• Create and run a clear stewardship programme across all platforms to increase the long-term value of our supporters.
• Organise and manage the schedule of all communications sent to donors and subscribers, ensuring alignment with our new brand and strategic priorities
• Plan and deliver campaigns and appeals across print, digital and telephone channels that engage and inspire our supporters and drive income.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising Strategy and start developing new products. You’ll be delivering thoughtful, well-timed and engaging communications to a variety of audiences, helping us reach new supporters and deepen relationships with those already connected to us. Your work will play a vital part in raising awareness, encouraging supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will, and providing meaningful ways to remember loved ones. 

Working closely with our Legacy and In Memory Manager, you’ll help manage relationships with external agencies and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to make sure our plans are delivered smoothly and successfully. It’s a role where your creativity, empathy and organisation will all come into play. 

You’ll also be responsible for the operational duties of the Prostate Cancer Memorial Sculpture – a poignant tribute to the dads, grandads, brothers and friends we’ve lost to prostate cancer, and a place for families and communities to reflect, remember and raise awareness.

We’re looking for someone ready to take ownership of our legacy and in-memory giving programmes, ensuring their continued growth and success. You do not necessarily need previous experience within a legacy role but be willing to develop skills and knowledge in this area. You’ll bring warmth, empathy and professionalism to every interaction, recognising that behind every gift is a deeply personal story. 

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a genuine sensitivity when engaging with supporters – whether they’re considering a gift in their Will or honouring the memory of someone special. You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, as well as with external partners and agencies, always bringing a positive, solution-focused approach.  You’ll know how to tailor messages for different audiences and balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

BVSC is looking for a Health and Wellbeing Volunteer Officer to work across two key programmes: Bexley Buddies and Digital Champions.

Through Bexley Buddies, you will support volunteer-led initiatives within GP practices that address non-medical needs, reduce social isolation and strengthen community wellbeing.

Through Digital Champions, you will recruit, train and support volunteers who help residents build digital confidence — particularly in using online health services and apps.

You will work closely with volunteers, GP surgeries, community organisations and residents to coordinate activities, build partnerships and ensure support is inclusive and impactful.

Key areas of work include:

Engaging: Working with residents, GP practices and partners to identify local health and digital support needs.

Developing: Recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to deliver safe and meaningful activities.

Coordinating: Organising borough-wide volunteer activity, peer support and training sessions.

The Role:

The Fostering Recruitment Officer/Family Support Worker role focuses on working with prospective and approved foster carers, children and families. You will be available to respond to and visit prospective foster carers as well as plan and participate in recruitment events across the region, contribute to facetoface and online activities and opportunities to support those interested in fostering.

This role requires the candidate to support children and young people in person and attend recruitment activities across the South Coast, focusing primarily on Hampshire and Dorset, including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) and surroundings. Therefore, the use of a car suitable for transporting children is an essential requirement of the post, along with the ability to travel extensively, working flexibly around hours and days, including occasional weekends and occasional evenings, as key support to children and their carers and to respond to prospective carers' availability. Flexibility is required in the role to manage and support at short notice, meeting the needs of the children/service.

All employees are homebased but are required to travel regularly to the above locations and attend monthly face to face meetings, wellbeing events, and training events.
