Our Aims

The Urban Partnership Group (UPG) is a community and regeneration organization situated in West London offering a wide range of activities at its bases at the Masbro Centre, Edward Woods Community Centre, Masbro Brook Green, and Flora Gardens Family Centre  projects managed include those for older people, youth, children center services, volunteering and community champions.  Through these projects UPG hopes to enhance the health, wealth and well-being of the centers’ users.

Role

To be responsible for the day-to-day provision of an efficient, welcoming and professional reception and administrative/business support service to the Masbro Community Centre.

The applicant will be the first person a visitor, client or customer meets or speaks to face to face or on the phone.  The applicant will need to have a good rapport with people and make them feel welcome and at ease.  UPG deliver a range different activities a week with a footfall of over 500 people a week.

Supporting providers and users of the Community Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities  ​

1. As the receptionist and administrator, ensuring all users and visitors are dealt with promptly, professionally and courteously.

2. Provide a warm, supportive and nurturing front-of-house presence, building positive relationships with service users, tenants, volunteers and partners.
3. Develop and maintain effective clerical and administrative systems in line with UPG policies and procedures, reviewing and improving systems where necessary.
4. Carry out general administrative duties including (but not limited to):
   • Managing incoming and outgoing post
   • Responding to written and verbal enquiries
   • Coordinating bookings for workshops and classes
   • Processing invoices and supporting basic financial record-keeping
   • Assisting with room and hall hire bookings and issuing hire agreements
   • Attending and minuting meetings as required
   • Undertaking follow-up actions where necessary
5. Assist with the reporting and monitoring of repair and maintenance issues and liaise with contractors where appropriate, escalating concerns to the Centre Manager / CEO.
6. Support the scheduling of events, activities and services, including providing accurate information and assisting with room set-up and clear-down when required.
7. Maintain clear and accurate records of Centre usage, including visitor logs, attendance registers and staff whereabouts for emergency purposes.
8. Work collaboratively with reception and administrative colleagues across all UPG sites to ensure consistent systems, shared best practice and coordinated cover arrangements where required.
9. Develop and maintain links with borough-wide support services to ensure effective signposting for residents and organisations.
10. Undertake student enrolment, inductions, DBS checks and other relevant compliance procedures for volunteers, staff and external groups, ensuring records are securely maintained.
11. Support the promotion and publicity of the Centre, including updating noticeboards, digital displays, website content and social media platforms in collaboration with the Family Services and Performance Manager and colleagues at other sites.
12. Assist in gathering data and basic monitoring information required for reports to funders and stakeholders.
13. Support room inspections and ensure spaces are prepared to a high standard before and after use.
14. Promote a culture of inclusion, respect and community cohesion, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity when supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.
15. Work at all times in accordance with UPG policies, particularly regarding equal opportunities, safeguarding, health and safety, risk assessments and confidentiality.
16. Assist with fire drills, emergency procedures, risk assessments and compliance monitoring.
17. Demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work.
18. Provide occasional administrative support to senior management, including diary coordination and document preparation where required.
19. Undertake any other duties as directed by the CEO or Line Manager that contribute to achieving UPG’s aims and objectives.

Co‑Design and Co‑Production Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week.  Must be flexible and be available for occasional work outside of usual work hours.

Co-Design and Co-Production

BDEF’s Director previously supported Bristol City Council Adult Social Care to create a Co‑production Policy. This policy was developed because there was no clear, fair, or consistent way for the Council to involve people with lived experience of using Adult Social Care services.

The policy:

• Is designed through co-production between Disabled people, Carers, Community and Voluntary Sector workers and council officers.
• Clearly defines consultation, engagement, co‑design and co‑production.
• Sets expectations for inclusive, equitable involvement.
• Has been fully adopted and approved by Adult Social Care.
• Is intended to guide all future Adult Social Care work.

Following feedback, Bristol City Council has now contracted BDEF, a Disabled‑people‑led organisation, to take this work forward. This, as part of this contract, role will focus on supporting, embedding and putting the policy into practice, ensuring that people with lived expertise are meaningfully involved in shaping Adult Social Care services.

The role will work closely with people with lived expertise of Adult Social Care services (Disabled people and carers among others), Bristol City Council Adult Social Care officers, community and voluntary organisations and BDEF colleagues. The role holder will work directly with BDEF Director who will offer advice and support.

Zoe’s Place is unique, we are the only baby specific Hospices in the U.K., with hospices located in Middlesbrough and Coventry and strive to promote and maintain our commitment to the local communities in each area.

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the fundraising team, supporting income generation to successfully meet annual objectives. The individual in this role will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising initiatives at our Middlesbrough Hospice.

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based within a non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access however we are unable to guarantee this at some of the other locations where the role is based such as homes and community based locations.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, hours may be extended 08:00 - 18:00. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service/participant requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.

This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. 

Key Responsibilities include:

About the role

Gambling Harm UK is recruiting two Regional Public Health Systems Change Leads to support the development and embedding of a public health approach to gambling harm prevention and early intervention across England.

This is a strategic, system facing role rather than a frontline delivery post. You will work with health, social care and wider public sector partners to influence how systems recognise, prioritise and respond to gambling related harms. The role focuses on partnership development, facilitation and implementation support, helping partners adopt evidence-based guidance, reduce stigma and shame, and embed sustainable system responses.

You will act as a regional lead for programme delivery, supporting place-based implementation and contributing to national learning.

Location: Home based with national travel across England

What you will do

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Integrated Care Boards, primary care, NHS providers, local authorities, Healthwatch organisations and voluntary sector partners. 
• Support the adoption and implementation of NICE guidance on gambling related harms within local systems
• Facilitate cross sector partnership working to strengthen prevention, early identification and safeguarding responses. 
• Use strong networking, influencing and facilitation skills to bring partners together around shared priorities
• Support workforce development approaches including local champion and cascade models
• Support narrative change activity to reduce stigma and shame associated with gambling harm and improve safe disclosure
• Ensure lived experience insight meaningfully informs system design, training and implementation
• Contribute to learning, evaluation and sharing what works across different local and system contexts
• Support partners to embed change into routine practice beyond the life of the programme

About you

You will have experience working within or alongside complex public sector systems and be comfortable influencing change without formal authority. About the Team

Membership and Customer Services is a newly evolved team that exists to grow, connect and convene NCVO’s membership. The team acquires roughly 1,400 new members a year and offers care and support to retain 90% of its current 17K members.

Overview 

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We work alongside young people seeking safety in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people’s rights and power.

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people. 

About the Role

Our youthwork plays an important role in reducing social isolation and loneliness, improving mental health and wellbeing, and creating a sense of belonging.

This includes a wide range of youth and sporting activities across several weekly youth groups, our young women’s groups, trips during the school holidays and annual residentials. Our youth participation approach means that our activities are directly informed by what young people want.

This is an opportunity for a dynamic and creative youth worker to contribute and strengthen our youth development programmes. You will be responsible for planning and delivering youth activities, ensuring that the sessions run smoothly and safely. You will also be responsible for making sure volunteers are supported, giving advice and guidance where necessary.

About Guy’s Gift
Guy’s Gift supports bereaved children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire. Our work is rooted in compassion, respect and the belief that every child deserves understanding and support during difficult times.

Our volunteers play a vital role in delivering this support, and we are now looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to help ensure our volunteer programme runs smoothly and positively.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, practical volunteer co-ordination role supporting our team of around 25–30 volunteers. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will help co-ordinate volunteer recruitment and induction, maintain accurate records, and act as a key point of contact for volunteers.

You will be part of a small, supportive team where collaboration and flexibility are key. This role does not include line management or strategic responsibility but plays an important part in ensuring volunteers feel supported and informed.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating volunteer recruitment, induction and ongoing support

• Maintaining accurate and secure volunteer records

• Acting as a point of contact for volunteer queries and support needs

• Ensuring volunteer documentation (including DBS where required) is completed

• Supporting volunteer engagement and communication

• Providing updates on volunteer activity

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

• Organised and able to prioritise effectively within part-time hours

• A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

• Experienced in supporting volunteers or working in a co-ordination role

• Comfortable working independently while being part of a small team

• Committed to safeguarding, equality and inclusion

Experience of working with children and young people or in the voluntary sector would be welcomed but is not essential.
