Advice & Outreach Adviser
CommuniCare is looking for a compassionate and experienced Outreach & Advice Worker to join our team.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting people through our Advice Centre, community outreach sessions and home visits. You’ll provide practical advice and guidance, particularly around welfare benefits, while helping clients access the wider support and services they need.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least two years’ experience in welfare benefits and advice work
- A strong understanding of the UK benefits system
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
- A compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle
- Experience of community outreach, supporting vulnerable people, working in the voluntary sector & supervising volunteers would be an advantage.
