Job description

Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity on a fantastic Marketing & Communications Manager role. This position involves managing the organisation’s external messaging, content creation, and brand integrity, supporting strategic campaigns, and enhancing engagement across multiple channels to raise awareness and support the charity’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee high-quality, consistent communications to strengthen the charity’s story through compelling copy, imagery, and case studies.
  • Effectively brief and manage external agencies for the creation of branded assets, collateral, and digital content.
  • Manage and deliver messaging across social media channels, continually reviewing their effectiveness and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee content creation to assemble a comprehensive content library, including photography, video, and written content.
  • Maintain the charity’s blog, email newsletters, and supporter journey initiatives to enhance supporter engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (fundraising, programmes, partnerships) to support partnership marketing and launches.
  • Support brand consistency through regular reviews, ensuring alignment with the charity’s identity and maximising visual impact.
  • Manage and update the charity’s website and social media channels, ensuring content is current and engaging.
  • Oversee the Google Ad Grant account and contribute to marketing plan development for targeted audience engagement.
  • Assist in strategic planning and contribute insights to senior leadership when required.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering integrated communication strategies, ideally within a charity or non-profit environment.
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content management skills.
  • Experience liaising with external agencies and managing multiple content formats, including digital, print, and multimedia.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in social media management, SEO, and digital marketing, including analytics and testing.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative approach to work, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to develop in a dynamic environment.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000
