Bid & Proposal Manager
Location: London
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time
Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our '3Ps'. We achieve this in two ways. First we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.
Job Description
As a Bid and Proposal Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding that enables Catch22 to deliver life-changing services across the UK. Working within a high-performing and collaborative Business Development team, you will lead the development of major public sector and grant funding opportunities, shaping innovative solutions that respond to complex social challenges and drive sustainable organisational growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of strategic growth, influencing service design, developing partnerships, and leading bids that have a direct impact on the communities we serve. You'll take ownership of high-profile opportunities while collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to maximise our success.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Leading complex public sector bids and grant funding proposals from assessment through to submission, securing significant income and strategic growth opportunities for Catch22.
· Managing end-to-end bid and proposal processes, delivering high-quality, compliant submissions within tight timescales and governance requirements.
· Developing compelling, high-scoring bid content and innovative, outcomes-focused solutions that respond effectively to commissioner and funder requirements.
· Bringing together operational leaders, external partners and subject matter experts to create credible, deliverable and commercially competitive service models.
· Conducting competitor analysis and bid strategy development to inform bid decisions and maximise win rates.
· Building and managing delivery partnerships that strengthen proposals, enhance service quality and deliver value for Catch22.
· Providing leadership and assurance throughout the bid lifecycle, ensuring effective governance, compliance and proactive risk management.
· Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, championing innovation and adopting new approaches and technologies that enhance bid quality and team effectiveness.
Qualifications
We are looking for highly motivated, results-driven professional who brings:
· Proven experience leading successful high-value or complex bids, proposals or projects.
· Exceptional writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· A track record of securing six-figure public sector contracts and/or grant funding.
· Experience developing service solutions and funding propositions with operational teams, partners and stakeholders, including facilitating workshops.
· Strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of the business development lifecycle.
· Knowledge of one or more of Catch22's core service areas, including education, justice, employability, health, or victims and exploitation services.
· Confidence using technology, CRM systems and data to improve performance and effectiveness.
· An undergraduate degree, project management qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
· A commitment to inclusion, equity and belonging, fostering positive and respectful working relationships.
· Willingness to travel across the UK to engage with colleagues, partners, commissioners and sector stakeholders.

About Thrombosis UK
Thrombosis UK is the UK’s leading thrombosis charity, working to improve awareness, prevention and support for people affected by blood clots.
As part of our new organisational strategy, we are launching a major programme focused on raising awareness of blood clot (VTE) risk during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This programme will combine public awareness, healthcare professional engagement, patient advocacy and policy influence to improve understanding, encourage earlier action and contribute to longer-term system change.
We are seeking an experienced freelance communications professional to work alongside our team to help shape and deliver this programme.

The successful consultant will help us develop and implement an integrated campaign that includes:
· Public awareness campaigns
· Media relations and press activity
· Digital communications and content planning
· Website content and user journeys
· Stakeholder communications
· Support for public affairs and parliamentary engagement
· Campaign evaluation and learning
The consultant will work closely with our Chief Executive and wider team, bringing specialist campaign expertise that complements our existing clinical knowledge and patient support work.
Please send:
• A short statement outlining your relevant experience
• Proposal that outlines how you would approach the work including budget plans
• Examples of similar campaigns or projects
• Your availability (we are keen to start and will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis)
• Evidence of liability insurance and any professional association memberships

UNICEF ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.
This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as
Business Development Lead. The award-winning Corporate Partnerships team secures and manages long-term, multi-million-pound partnerships, with major UK companies including easyJet, Unilever and Accenture. We have ambitious plans for growth, by adding to and growing our portfolio of truly strategic and pioneering shared-value corporate partnerships.
The Business Development function sits within the wider Corporate Partnerships team and is focused on building the new business pipeline, increasing the variety and volume of our partnerships, ensuring all relationships align with business objectives to deliver for the partner and for children. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Partnerships - Business Development, this role leads the team in developing strategic, long-term partnerships with UK-headquartered companies through building a proactive culture to growth. This role includes line management responsibilities, and role-modelling inclusive behaviours and a growth mindset across the wider Corporate Partnerships Team is a core expectation.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident and strategic relationship-builder, with a proven track record of securing or leading complex, high-value partnerships. You’ll bring a proactive approach to new business, combining commercial acumen with creativity to identify compelling shared-value opportunities for UK-headquartered companies. You should be comfortable leading and motivating a team, role-modelling inclusive and collaborative behaviours, and creating an environment where people can perform at their best. The ability to navigate senior stakeholders, prioritise effectively, and maintain momentum across a dynamic pipeline will be essential, as will a genuine passion for UNICEF’s mission and the impact corporate partnerships can achieve for children globally.

· an open culture and workplace with colleagues who share our values, enjoy their work and are motivated to do their utmost for children.
· the opportunity to work in a leading children’s organisation making a difference to children around the world
Our application process: We use a system called "Applied" that anonymises your responses and focuses on your actual skills that are relevant to this role. This benefits you by giving you a greater chance of expressing your skills in this objective selection process.
We anticipate most colleagues will work one or two days a week in the office on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London and the rest of the time from home. We will happily discuss other flexible options to suit your circumstances.
We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, disabled candidates, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level at UNICEF UK. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.
UNICEF UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
We welcome a conversation about your flexible working requirements, personal growth, and promoting a workplace where you can be yourself and achieve success based only on your merit.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
