The role

We are seeking an experienced Events and Community Fundraiser who will deliver our programme of running and challenge events and develop our community fundraising programme. This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for maximising participation in events and community fundraising activity, whilst providing excellent stewardship to our supporters.

You will be joining us at a really exciting time with our London Marathon team doubling in size and investment in our events marketing activity. You will have the opportunity to grow the community fundraising programmes, developing new and existing products and work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to feed into the development of our wider programme and income growth. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make their mark in their role and within the sector.

About you

Ideally you will have experience of working in the charity sector or be able to demonstrate transferable skills. You will have a passion for fundraising and be an excellent and confident relationship manager with experience of two or more of the following: organising or supporting running or challenge events, marketing and/or promotion, building relationships and event administration. 

You should be able to organise yourself, prioritise varied workloads, plan effectively and work to tight deadlines, as well as possessing excellent communication and stewarding skills. You’ll have a working knowledge of social media and marketing tools such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Mailchimp. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who is comfortable representing the values and aims of the charity proactively in community spaces.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

To provide high quality support as a non-clinical member of NHS' multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) to an allocated group of adult service users (18+) with moderate to severe mental illness within the community. To carry out duties in line with Hestia's and North London Mental Health Partnership (NLMHP)'s policies and procedures.

Here's what the team will be looking for:

You will bring either an NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or substantial experience gained through at least two years in a mental health setting. With a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery, and co-production principles, you will apply this knowledge to deliver effective and inclusive support. You will have proven experience of working collaboratively with other professionals, services, and communities, ensuring a joined-up approach to care. Your knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act will enable you to assess needs effectively and contribute to safe, person-centred support planning.

You will demonstrate excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills, alongside the ability to adapt to different service user needs. With confidence in using IT systems, including electronic case management tools, you will be able to maintain accurate records and monitor outcomes effectively. Resilient and adaptable, you will maintain clear professional boundaries while working independently or as part of a fast-paced team. Above all, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice that promotes dignity, empowerment, and recovery.

Kineara has a new vacancy for an experienced Housing Support Worker to join our small and dedicated team in this new project supporting recent granted refugees to find accommodation.

About the project

Set up by Southwark Council, the Homes for Ukraine project supports families and individuals from Ukraine who have been granted visas to live and work in the UK. After an initial period living with host families or in temporary accommodation, the project helps households take the next step towards independence by supporting them to move into private rented accommodation, assisting them in finding employment, and linking them with wider community support networks, while working holistically to ensure their individual needs are met. This approach aims to help Ukrainian households settle and thrive in the UK.

This project will be delivered alongside our Refugee PRS Renters Support Programme in Southwark. We will provide crucial crisis support to vulnerable renters and are looking for a passionate housing support worker to be part of the next phase of the project. About the role

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic support worker to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Housing Support Practitioner in our small and dedicated team. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with the Council’s housing officers and resettlement workers, refugee support organisations, community services.

The role involves:

• Coordinate tailored support for each client to find and sustain tenancies and mediating with landlords where necessary.
• Providing housing advice and help find employment. 
• Support access to PRS properties.
• Provide information about housing market and polices.
• Help set up sustainable tenancies.
• Support to increase employment and training opportunities.

About you

• You will have experience of working with individuals with complex needs and comple needs assessments.
• You will be an enthusiastic person who is self-motivated, confident and thrives when working independently with a passion to support change.
• You will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience delivering holistic support, be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work sensitively and empathetically with people in vulnerable circumstances.
• You have good knowledge of housing and homelessness policies in England.
• You will also have experience working in a systemic and therapeutic way and ideally have trauma informed training or experience.
• You have experience with keeping records and contributing data for reports and monitoring purposes.
• It is also important to us that you have the competency to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
• Be able to  work as part of a team and independently, the roles require you to think creatively and use the resources around you effectively.
