The purpose of the role is to lead an outstanding IT service across the Trust and cultivate a high performing team that supports all staff, people we support and other stakeholders.

Reporting to the Resource Director, the role will be key in supporting the digital transformation agenda, providing IT and data expertise that will enable higher quality of life for adults with learning disabilities and maximise efficiencies within the services that we provide. 

Main Responsibilities   

• Developing the IT strategy in alignment with the Trust wide strategic goals and evolving digital transformation priorities;

• Oversee the Trust’s approach to Cyber security, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice. Being the subject matter expert for the organisation.

• Oversee the Trust’s data and privacy framework, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws and training and educating staff as required on data protection measures; 

• Lead, mentor and develop the IT team of four, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement;

• Prepare and manage the IT department budget, optimising resource allocation to achieve maximum value and efficiency and ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources; 

• Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the Trust’s IT systems; 

• Providing IT expertise and advice for the software owners across the Charity including supporting the development of management reporting using Power BI;

• Support the development of an environment of digital innovation and best practice, ensuring the use of technologies for the benefit of the diversity of the people we support; 

• Support any technology implementation plans ensuring all technology solutions are project managed effectively. To supports team members to ensure they identify risks, contingency plans and engage with stakeholders for effective collaboration; 

• To lead on procurement and contract negotiations with vendors of IT systems and software providers, ensuring ITTs and contract awards are in line with the Trust policies and value for money is achieved;

• Producing regular reports on KPIs for the IT team and reporting reasons for variances against target

What you’ll bring to the role:   

• Recognised Degree in Business IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 

• Proven track record in a senior management digital transformation position.

• 6+ years’ digitalisation experience. 

• 5+ years Project Management experience.

• Excellent working knowledge of Power BI 

• Proven track record on delivering complex projects. 

• Experience of having designed, implemented, and evaluated organisational transformation digital solutions and has delivered change that added value to the organisation. 

• Highly effective change agent who engages with senior stakeholders to deliver the digital program to the organisation. 

• Benchmarking skills and identifies best practice and knowledge of the digital landscape of organisations. 

• High degree of budget management experience associated with digital technology design and its adaptation.

Location & Travel 

Remote based - Home 

Home-based with regular travel to visit Communities in Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, Yorkshire, and Worcestershire. Occasional overnight stays will be required. Ideally you will be located within travel corridors of Midlands to London or Manchester to York.

The responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:

• Support the production of the GPA Annual Report and Accounts including provision of consolidation returns for Cabinet Office departmental accounts and Whole of Government Accounts
• Maintain and analyse accurate accounting records including preparation and monitoring of Statement of Financial Position reconciliations and accrual and other journals
• Monitor the effectiveness of key controls including those operated by outsourced service providers
• Prepare tax returns to deadlines including monthly VAT return and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
• Support the delivery of internal and external audits including provision of fully supporting and signposted evidence, monitoring of requests and responding to auditors in a timely way

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping vulnerable young people to achieve their potential and who is excited by playing their part in raising funds towards our £1 million target. Working in our small Income Generation Team, you will have responsibility for writing compelling proposals and reports that showcase the impact of our work. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with current and potential funders, building and stewarding our restricted income pipeline which you will own.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of securing funding, preferably within the youth, sport for development or health & wellbeing sector. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Fundraising and business development  

• Write compelling funding proposals and cases for support, from £5000 to £100,000s

• Own and grow Trusts and Grants pipeline, identifying and researching new funding opportunities

Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders

We have an exciting opportunity for a new member of staff to join Transport for All and support the delivery of our vision: Transport Justice for All Disabled People. 

This role will lead on securing income from trusts and foundations for our projects and programmes. You will help to ensure that Transport for All remains financially sustainable, and can grow to meet the needs of our community. You’ll also drive cross-organisational use of the CRM database.

Importantly, you’ll understand how to communicate about a Disabled People’s Organisation without our community being stereotyped as ‘inspirational’ or ‘vulnerable’ – taking a social model approach and aligning with our organisational values.

About Transport for All

Transport for All is the disabled-led group breaking down barriers and transforming the transport system so disabled people can make the journeys we want, with freedom, dignity, ease and confidence. We work with our members to campaign for change, influencing governments, industry and the public.

Your responsibilities

1. Fundraising strategy (10% of time)

· Work with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to set and deliver the fundraising strategy.

· Work across teams to identify opportunities to create projects and seek funding.

· Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

· Report regularly to the Finance Committee and Board.

2. Trust and foundations fundraising (60% of time)

· Work with the Senior Leadership Team to identify projects and core costs for funding and develop realistic budgets.

· Work across teams to ensure continuation funding for existing projects and costs where needed.

3. Database management (20% of time)

· Ensure the CRM supports funding monitoring purposes and staff can use it for this purpose.

· Continually champion and develop the CRM so that it is accessible to all staff and meets the requirements of all teams.

· Work with the Communications and Engagement team to put in place good stewardship of members, advice service users and other contacts via the CRM.

· Put in place supporter journeys that provide excellent stewardship.

4. Wider fundraising (10% of time)

· Explore, test and evaluate wider fundraising opportunities. This could include appeals, corporate fundraising, events, individual giving and legacy giving.

· Support the Training, Research and Consultancy team with bid and proposal writing on an ad hoc basis.

5. General (at all times)

· Undertake any other tasks, duties or projects which may arise from time to time which are in line with the general level of this post and as instructed.

· Undertake occasional evening and weekend work as required, and take responsibility for arranging time off in lieu with your manager.

· Line manage and supervise members, contractors and staff as required.

· Work within the Social Model of Disability.

· Work in adherence to Transport for All’s values and staff policies.

As a Community Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering and integrating our Community Support Volunteer service. You'll work closely with volunteers, health and social care professionals, and local partners to ensure people living with and affected by MND receive high-quality, accessible, and inclusive support.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Community Support Co-ordinator, you will:

• Lead a team of Community Support Volunteers, recruiting, supporting, and developing them to provide a high-quality service.

• Offer guidance and support to volunteers handling difficult support issues.

About You:

In this role as a Community Support Co-ordinator, you will need experience in managing and supporting volunteers and an understanding of care and support services. You will be committed to delivering inclusive and person-centred support.

• Experience leading, managing, or coordinating volunteers, ideally in a not-for-profit setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• The ability to assess and respond to support needs in a person-centred way.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our team of six Strategic Partnership Advisors across England. In this role, you will support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.

You will possess a strong understanding of the sport and activity sector, including its operations, and be able to advocate for improvements that help more disabled people become active. Additionally, you will be aware of the broader systems and barriers that disabled people encounter in sports and activities, as well as organisations such as disabled people’s user-led organisations and various charities, to build relationships and foster effective cross-sector partnerships.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. Someone who can positively influence local developments, systems and investments to tackle the inequalities disabled people face in sport and activity through inclusive practice.

The successful candidate will work remotely from home and be based in the South West region. This role will involve travel across the region and occasional travel to our Loughborough and Manchester offices.

This role is full-time (36 hours) and permanent.

Tuition fees:

All trainees will need to pay tuition fees unless you are a salaried trainee - salaried places are limited. Tuition fees are £9,535 for full-time study and £7,145 per year for part-time study. If you are eligible for a student loan in the UK, you can get a student loan to cover these costs, as well as a maintenance grant up to £13,762.

If you want to train as a secondary trainee teacher, you may be able to apply for funding to cover the costs of your tuition fees through a bursary or scholarship, which you would not need to pay back.

Funding:

We offer a few salaried placements, but if you do not choose a salaried teacher training course, and depending on your subject choice, you may be eligible to receive funding through a bursary or a scholarship up to £31,000, which you do not have to pay back.
