About you and the role

This role is key to helping us grow and empower our school and chef partners through our Membership. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager and Procurement Manager to improve the membership offering and build a strong community of schools, chefs, and suppliers.

Your work will be varied, from managing membership administration to building supplier relationships and helping with communication between schools and stakeholders. As the membership grows, you’ll work with the team to help improve the support, networks, and systems available to members. You’ll also help with ensuring suppliers meet safety standards, deliver great produce, and offer reliable service.

In addition, you’ll assist with organising our member events, from planning and logistics to coordinating attendees and making sure everything runs smoothly.

You will be a confident communicator who is happy gathering information from our team, suppliers and school chefs, with an ability to translate data for the continued improvement of the membership. The role will cover everything from basic administration tasks, to visiting schools, helping to create resources and supporting our procurement processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage membership administration, including onboarding new members, staying in touch regularly, coordinating internal support for membership needs, and tracking renewals.

• Support the creation of resources, guides, and training materials for members.

• Assist with the planning and delivery of events, training days, and conferences for members and stakeholders.

About The Role
You will be working in a collaborative, fast-paced and creative environment and will play a key role within our Engagement Team to strengthen Youth Music’s relationships with individual givers. This role will focus on engaging individuals to support our mission, managing relationships with community supporters, and delivering strategies to enhance community fundraising and individual giving.

About You

You are a motivated and relationship-driven individual who is passionate about music and making a difference. Key Responsibilities 

• Create and execute a strategic plan for growing community fundraising and individual giving, and monitor and evaluate the impact of this.

• Support the Philanthropy Lead in cultivating major donor relationships and co-investment opportunities with charitable trusts and foundations.

Join the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as our E-learning Project Manager for the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) — and help shape the future of radiology education across the UK and beyond.
We’re redeveloping one of the most respected radiology e-learning programmes in the world — R-ITI — and we need a driven, strategic and organised Project Manager to bring it to life.

In this 18-month fixed-term role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of over 300 digital learning modules. You’ll collaborate with the Learning Development Manager, the Learning Technologist and the e-learning faculty comprising Subject Matter Experts (SMEs – who are doctors) while undertaking the project to relaunch these essential resources on our new Learning Management System (LMS).

You’ll not only be supporting radiologists in their professional development but you’ll also play a key role is helping ensure the offering is financially sustainable, enabling us to reinvest in growing our influence and impact globally.

What you’ll do 

• Oversee the entire life cycle of selected R-ITI modules marked for redevelopment, from establishing SME groups to review and update content, to working with learning technology colleagues to produce and publish them on time and within budget on RCR’s LMS. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and objectives and provide support to the working groups whilst they redevelop the modules. 
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Be responsible for overall quality control of newly developed content by working collaboratively with SMEs and learning technology colleagues to create accurate, engaging and effective e-learning content for our members.

Role: Nutley Edge Activity Breaks Manager

Nutley Edge Activity Breaks are Outward’s supported holidays for adults with learning disabilities and autism. They are five days and four nights long and take place at our beautiful holiday site near Uckfield in East Sussex. Every break is themed and guests take part in a range of activities such as archery, art, music, yoga, and day trips to local towns, cities, and historical sites. Our breaks give guests the opportunity to get away for a holiday, meet new people, and explore the best of East Sussex.

What is the role of the Manager? 

As manager, with the support of the deputy(s), you will organise varied and fun breaks for our guests. This includes carrying out assessments for new guests, supporting the team to deliver respite care, coaching the staff team, and embedding high standards in the service. We run 20 breaks a year and wish to grow this number, around about 10 of which are led by the Activity Team Manager on site in East Sussex. During activity breaks food and your own room is provided and an additional sleep in payment for each night supporting a break is paid.  

We are a London based charity and welcome applicants for this role on the understanding they are able to support at least 10 breaks throughout a year (providing day and overnight support for 5 days/ 4 nights at a time in East Sussex), are able to travel to our North East London offices to attend meetings and training sessions, and travel to assessments and marketing events as required.

GiveOut is an award-winning international LGBTQI community foundation. Our mission is to bring together the LGBTQI community and allies to support global LGBTQI rights activism worldwide, building a world where LGBTQI people everywhere can live freely and fully.

But they lack resources and funding is fragile, especially in the Global South and East. GiveOut’s purpose is to help address this urgent need by providing a platform for our supporters to give tax efficiently in one place to fund LGBTQI human rights activism worldwide. About the Role

Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, implementing a vital part of our philanthropy programme as we deliver our growth strategy.
 

You will identify, engage, cultivate and steward major donors (high net worth individuals) and charitable foundations to secure high value gifts and grants, grow long term strategic relationships in support of the LGBTQI movement, grow GiveOut's network, and provide a top quality donor experience. 

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will support them on shaping and executing strategy and work planning, coordinating the donor database and leading on related internal processes, and deputising for the Head externally.

We are open to full time or part time (pro rata) at a minimum of 24 hours, or equivalent to 3 days per week. We are also open to flexible working arrangements to be discussed. Occasional evenings or weekends out of hours will be required, such as for networking or GiveOut hosted events, for which time off in lieu will be granted.

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate communications activities across the Society’s policy and external affairs activities, ensuring that our work is communicated strategically and visible to appropriate audiences.

Key responsibilities:

Understanding opportunities and the changing external environment  

• Develop our understanding of the preferences and needs of our key internal and external audiences to better align our policy and external affairs communications to those preferences and needs. 
• Monitor and respond to emerging trends to ensure our communications channels and content for policy and external affairs remain timely and relevant.
• Build a network of key contacts across critical and adjacent organisations to maximise potential routes into influencing decision-making and make the best use of resources through collaborative working. 

Development of strategies and plans

• Lead on strategic communication of the Society’s campaign priorities
• Contribute to the development of the Society’s communications strategy across media, social media and communications planning.
• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to maximise the communications value of the Society’s key policy and external affairs outputs and activities.
• Contribute to costed plans for communications campaigns that meet key strategic goals and include monitoring for impact.

Media relations

• Lead on the Society’s media relations work – proactively identify and exploit appropriate media opportunities to promote campaign priorities, drafting media statements and managing launches and announcements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists across our key topic areas and respond to press queries. 
• Expertly advise, assist and brief the Society’s key spokespeople in respect of media relations issues and opportunities. 
• Manage, and develop the Society’s statistical ambassador scheme, supporting individuals and ensuring we have a pipeline of spokespeople that reflects the diversity of the data professions.

Content creation and editorial

• Develop communications content including blogs, press statements, posts and thought pieces to communicate our campaigns and policy work. 
• Contribute to the operation of the Society’s social media accounts, working with wider staff to ensure we are reflecting the breadth of the Society’s activities across the various platforms.
• Produce write-ups of events and roundtables.

External affairs

• Work with the CEO and Head of Policy and Advocacy to identify and develop relationships with external stakeholders, both UK-based and international and across government, civil society, academia and business, acting as a convenor, trusted advisor and critical friend. 
• Lead on the Society’s statistical excellence awards programme, including developing and maintaining relationships with awards sponsors to ensure the awards are both impactful and financially sustainable.
• Lead on the planning and delivery of policy focused events 
• Support the publication, launch and dissemination of relevant outputs across the policy team, and work with colleagues to ensure relevant and timely and communication of policy positions to support policy and advocacy objectives. 
• Maintain a database of relevant stakeholders.

Management

• Monitor and report on progress and performance against targets. 
• Project manage campaigns, external affairs and communications activities, ensuring that work is appropriate, of high quality, and sufficient volume to maintain presence and reputation. 
• Manage the budget for the communications function.

Interfaces with other teams and groups 

• Contribute to a cross-RSS communications group to share comms plans and outputs and identify opportunities for synergy and collaboration. 
• Provide support to key Society groups, for example the Campaigns Advisory Group. 
• Work with staff responsible for business development to pursue sponsorship opportunities where appropriate. 
• Engage with teams across the organisation to identify comms opportunities to advance our campaign priorities.

Person Specification

• Significant relevant experience in media relations and external affairs

Working for the RSS

Pension and benefits

Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). A training budget, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and employee assistance programme are also available. 

Location

The RSS office is in central London. We offer flexible working arrangements, and this is a hybrid role with a minimum two days a week working in the office. In person attendance for certain meeting is required, including all-staff / team meetings and governance / committee meetings that take place in person. Limited travel within the UK and internationally may be required.

Working hours

35 per week full-time. Applications for job shares, part-time and flexible working will also be considered. The post-holder will be the point of contact for any out-of-office hours press queries. 

Holidays

25 days per annum, plus bank holidays and an additional shut down between Christmas and New Year. 

Probation
