We are seeking an experienced and passionate VAWG Liaison Development Officer to join The Survivors Trust on secondment to the British Transport Police (BTP). In this pivotal role, you will help shape and deliver BTP’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) strategy, working alongside a domestic abuse specialist to drive meaningful cultural change across the organisation.

As part of a collaborative partnership, you will work closely with senior leaders, specialist police units, and external agencies to strengthen organisational understanding of VAWG, drive cultural change, and improve outcomes for survivors. Communications Assistant

• 15 hours per week at £15.00 an hour (Actual salary £11,700 - FTE £27,300)

The Communications Assistant will provide hands-on support to the Communications Manager in the ideation, creation and delivery of our regular external communications. This includes helping to grow our social media following, creating and scheduling content, sourcing and designing images, providing copywriting support, and responding to comments across our channels. The role will also involve drafting and scheduling newsletters and providing administrative support with our databases.

This is a 15‑hour‑per‑week role, with the potential to grow in the future. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can spread their hours across the week to support consistent content delivery, but we are open to discussing alternative working patterns for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have experience in a communications, marketing or social media role. They will be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and have basic video editing and/or animation skills. Strong copywriting skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice for different channels are essential, as is confidence using Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.

We are a busy remote team, and this role offers plenty of scope to work autonomously and flexibly. You’ll gain experience across a wide range of areas and develop your skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment, with opportunities to contribute to the creative direction of our communications.

The Role

As our Head of Fundraising & Business Development, you will lead efforts to secure and diversify funding, building a sustainable resource base to support our global mission.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events such as movie nights, cooking evenings, and games nights
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary

The service supports long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. In this role, you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will play a crucial role in continuing the high quality support which is provided during the day, ensuring a safe, respectful, and responsive environment for residents. You will be expected to remain awake, alert, accessible, and actively engaged throughout the shift. There is a focus on welfare checks, providing resident support, and completing administration tasks, ensuring clear handovers are prepared for the day staff and managers. 

You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Supporting with the creation of tailored support plans in collaboration with the day team and resident.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Complete all routine night duties and any tasks handed over by the day shift or service manager. Prepare regular handovers for the day staff.
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.

About You 

We're looking for a someone who shares our passion for supporting people who’ve experienced homelessness, and have struggled with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs. . A self motivated individual who can stay engaged during the shift, able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values.

• Previous professional or lived experience supporting people who mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Ability to show empathy and compassion and the different challenges people face; ability to come up with creative solutions to support them in their journey
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 139 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects.

• Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Time & Talents’ Community Programme and volunteering offer, ensuring activities are inclusive, responsive to local need and underpinned by strong safeguarding, participation and partnership working.
•  Develop meaningful volunteering pathways, including corporate volunteering, embed community voice in programme design and evaluation, and contribute to organisational sustainability through effective budgeting, reporting and fundraising support.

The Squad Club is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Club Leader to run our Juniors Club (ages 15–25) on Thursday evenings in Wimbledon, SW19.

We’re looking for someone who can plan and deliver engaging weekly sessions, lead our Thursday night club, and work closely with volunteers, families, and our Operations Manager.
