About the Role
As Grant-Making Officer, you will support the delivery of GiveOut's grant-making programme, helping ensure that funding reaches LGBTQI activist organisations efficiently, responsibly and in line with GiveOut's values and grant-making policies.
Reporting to the Grant-Making Manager, you will coordinate key aspects of the grant-making cycle, support grant partners throughout the grant lifecycle, and help maintain the systems, processes and relationships that underpin GiveOut's grant-making programme.
Bringing a passion for international LGBTQI human rights, you will build meaningful relationships with LGBTQI activists and organisations across the globe while developing your expertise in international grant-making.
Key Responsibilities
Grant-Making Programme Delivery
Support the delivery of GiveOut's annual grant-making programme and grant portfolio.
Coordinate the annual grant-making cycle, ensuring documentation, timelines and communications are delivered on time.
Prepare due diligence assessments, grant agreements and other grant documentation for review by the Grant-Making Manager.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date grants management records.
Grant Partner Relationships
Build and maintain positive, responsive relationships with grant partners.

Sector Expertise & Representation
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments in global LGBTQI movements and international human rights.
Share relevant sector insights with colleagues to inform GiveOut's work.

As a Peer Mentor you will need to have living experience of mental health difficulties and have gained a level of insight into your mental health experience and be ready to talk about them openly. They are looking for someone who is ready to use their experience to support and inspire service users in their recovery journey. You would be joining their Intensive Community Rehabilitation service, a multi-disciplinary team ran jointly with the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust. You will be supporting service users primarily with psychosis, bipolar and schizophrenia, among other additional mental health diagnosis, who are living in their own accommodation and require a period of intense rehabilitation. Support will be provided in the community and the service users own home and when necessary hospital settings throughout the Birmingham area when required. The service aims to provide rehabilitation in the community rather than hospital settings and to help people adjust and avoid repeat admissions. The team is made up of both clinical and psychological professionals, and our clients staff, and applicants must be ready to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team. The service runs from 9am-8pm, and some evening and weekend work is required.

Brighton Women’s Refuge is a safe haven for women and their children, fleeing domestic abuse.
As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you’ll manage a caseload of customers who have complex needs, through their journey with Stonewater’s supported housing service, ensuring a strengths based, trauma informed approach that enables them to realise their potential.
You’ll work closely with key partners, delivering quality, outcome focused coaching support sessions in one-to-one and group settings, providing both emotional and practical support. This will include sessions on keeping safe, healthy relationships, substance use, mental health and wellbeing, finance and budget management, and employment skills. You’ll ensure that our customers are supported to stay safe and are aware of their rights to legal protection for themselves whilst identifying and signposting customers to any other services that they may benefit from that is available from partner agencies.

The Community of St Paulinus (CsP) is a pioneering community focused on resourcing sacramental church planting, forming disciples and strengthening partnerships across the Diocese.
As CsP prepares for its public launch, we are seeking an outstanding Digital Content Creator & Designer to establish its digital presence from the ground up. Working from a new visual identity and communications approach currently being developed by an external creative agency, the successful candidate will implement that vision through engaging storytelling, photography, video, graphic design and social media.
Alongside supporting the launch of CsP, the role will provide creative support to partner churches across the Diocese, helping communicate stories of renewal, refresh websites, establish digital platforms, including social media, and support new worshipping communities through high-quality communications and design.
Salary
£13,700 for a six-month fixed-term contract (30 hours per week).
Contract & Working Pattern
· Fixed-term contract: 6 months.
· 30 hours per week with flexibility by agreement.
· Hybrid working based at Sheffield Cathedral with travel to partner churches.
· Occasional evening and weekend working will be required.
· Review towards the end of the contract with the possibility of extension or a permanent appointment, subject to funding and organisational need.

REPORTING TO: Head of House
HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical shift pattern: evening start, including overnight cover. Weekend and bank holiday working may be required according to the needs of the House and events programme.
ABOUT WAVERLEY ABBEY Waverley Abbey is a place of prayer, learning, hospitality and transformation. The Night Porter plays a vital part in this, helping to ensure that Waverley Abbey remains safe, secure, well-prepared and warmly welcoming throughout the evening and overnight hours. This is a practical, trusted and important role within the life of the House. The post holder will provide overnight presence, security, guest support and preparation for the following day, helping the whole site run smoothly and safely.
JOB PURPOSE The Night Porter will be responsible for the safe and effective overnight running of Waverley Abbey House and associated guest areas. This includes ensuring the building is secure, responding appropriately to alarms or incidents, supporting guests as needed, preparing rooms for the next day’s events or conferences, and assisting with early morning breakfast set-up. The role requires someone calm, reliable, hospitable and practical, with good judgement and the ability to work confidently on their own during overnight hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Security and Overnight Presence
> Provide a visible and reassuring overnight presence within Waverley Abbey House.
> Carry out regular checks of the building and agreed areas of the site during the shift.
> Ensure doors, windows and appropriate access points are secure.
> Lock up and open up areas of the building as required.
> Monitor the site for anything unusual, unsafe or concerning.
> Respond calmly and appropriately to any overnight issues, disturbances or emergencies. > Follow agreed procedures for reporting incidents, concerns or maintenance issues.
Fire Safety and Emergency Response
> Respond promptly to fire alarms and follow Waverley Abbey’s fire safety procedures.
> Support guests, residents or staff during any evacuation or emergency situation.
> Liaise with emergency services where required.
> Complete relevant incident reports and ensure the appropriate manager is informed.
> Maintain awareness of fire exits, fire panels, evacuation procedures and key safety points across the site.
Guest Care and Hospitality
> Offer a warm, calm and helpful welcome to guests, residents or visitors who may require assistance during the evening or overnight.
> Respond appropriately to guest queries, late arrivals or practical needs.
> Help create a peaceful, safe and hospitable environment in keeping with the values of Waverley Abbey.
> Escalate any guest concerns or safeguarding matters in line with Waverley Abbey procedures.
Event, Conference and Room Set-Up
> Prepare rooms for the following day’s events, meetings, conferences, retreats or teaching sessions.
> Set up furniture, refreshments, equipment or materials as required.
> Ensure rooms are clean, tidy, welcoming and ready for use.
> Liaise with the House, Events, Front of House, Food and Beverage or Housekeeping teams to understand next-day requirements.
> Support smooth handover between evening, overnight and morning teams.
Breakfast and Morning Preparation
>Assist with early morning breakfast set-up as required.
> Prepare guest areas, dining spaces or refreshment stations according to agreed standards.
> Ensure public areas are tidy, presentable and ready for the day.
>Communicate clearly with the morning team about any overnight issues or outstanding tasks. Health, Safety and Practical Support
> Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
>Carry out basic practical tasks as needed, such as clearing areas, moving furniture, checking lights or reporting maintenance concerns.
> Ensure corridors, entrances and key guest areas are safe and free from hazards.
> Take reasonable care for the safety and wellbeing of guests, staff, residents and visitors. >Work within lone-working procedures and escalate concerns appropriately.
Communication and Handover
>Keep clear written records of overnight activity, incidents, tasks completed and anything requiring follow-up.
> Provide a helpful handover to the morning team.
>Communicate professionally and promptly with managers and colleagues.
>Work collaboratively with House, Hospitality, Events, Facilities, Housekeeping and Front of House teams.

Essential

> Experience in hospitality, conference, retreat, hotel or residential settings.
> Fire safety or first aid training.
> Experience of working in a Christian retreat, charity, education or hospitality environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This role will involve overnight working, lone working, practical manual tasks and responsibility for the safety and security of the House during the night. Full training will be provided in fire safety, emergency procedures, site security, lone working, safeguarding and any relevant operational systems. The post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties in line with the nature and level of the role.
