Money Guidance Officer – £28,000 – Hybrid – London

We’re working with a small but mighty charity that’s on a mission to make debt and money advice accessible to everyone. They’re expanding their team and looking for a Money Guidance Officer to support individuals on their journey towards greater financial wellbeing.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Thrives in community-facing work and enjoys engaging with people from all walks of life.

• Has strong administrative and organisational skills, alongside a warm, empathetic approach.

• Can juggle outreach, engagement and support work – helping individuals stay connected to their debt advice journey.

• Is comfortable delivering 1-to-1 and group sessions, promoting financial resilience and financial education.

• Can work flexibly across community locations in London (with some hybrid working available).

• Holds a relevant professional qualification such as CMA Connect Money Mentor training, or an equivalent qualification/experience in money guidance or financial capability support.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team at a pivotal moment of growth, helping to ensure people are not just referred into services – but fully supported throughout their financial advice journey.

Salary: £28,000
Location: London (with hybrid working)

In this position, you’ll play a key role in managing relationships and overseeing the administration of a portfolio that includes high-net-worth individuals, group led initiatives, and philanthropic projects. You’ll work closely with senior team members, ensuring seamless service delivery while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the management of client portfolios, including high value individual accounts and collective initiatives
• Oversee financial administration: bookkeeping, reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, and payment processing
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and intermediaries
• Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor incoming donations and outgoing grants
• Review project reports and track impact
• Vet and onboard new payees, contractors, and grant recipients
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery
• Assist with external communications, including case studies and impact reporting
• Represent the organisation at events and networking opportunities
• Provide general office support, including client facing responsibilities

You will bring:

• Highly organised with strong administrative and numeracy skills
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Detail oriented with strong analytical ability
• Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
• Proactive, self-motivated, and solution focused
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Interested in philanthropy or the wider charitable sector
• A team player who thrives in a fast paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business tools

Experience working with high-net-worth clients or in a client-facing role is advantageous, but not essential.

Salary: £30,000 per annum

This is a commercially focused role combining new business development (60%) with account management (40%), managing relationships with corporate and academic members and driving new partnerships and income.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and university members
• Deliver the full membership lifecycle from prospecting to renewal
• Secure new members, sponsorships and commercial opportunities
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and meet income targets
• Work closely with internal teams and represent the organisation at events

About you:

• Proven experience in B2B sales and account management
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confident working with senior stakeholders
• CRM experience (Salesforce desirable)
• Organised, proactive and commercially minded

Experience in a membership body, charity or international organisation is desirable.
