Role Profile
This role is based within our team in the East of England. As a Support Worker, you will provide exceptional housing support services and housing management services to a diverse range of service user including those on Bail, prison leavers, and those going through the criminal justice system. The Team provides flexible and holistic support to residents with a wide range of support needs. We aim to support them to find and keep a stable home at the end of their CAS-2 placement. The role
This role is part of the Student Activities department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student groups, societies, activities and volunteering work as part the Engagement Directorate.
The Student Groups Coordinator roles are to develop the capacity of the student groups within the Guild to enable students to maximise their potential. This full time role involves processing orders from online, phone and post and answering queries.
As part of the Supporter Services team:
- Respond to customer queries received by telephone, letter, and email, always providing a high standard of customer service.
- Process books, subscriptions and events orders received by post, telephone and online.
- Pack and post orders that require sending from the office.
- Process donations received by all forms, including web donations.
- Allocate payments received by BACS, cheque, or credit card.
- Conduct sales ledger reconciliations.
- Open and distribute the post.
- Assist in credit control.
- Manage office stock levels.
- Assist in processing of renewals and subscription releases.
- Order office and event stock.
- Circulate advance copies.
- Assist finance team with statements to account.
- Administrative support to the Operations team as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience delivering high levels of customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high degree of confident on the phone.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, order processing and accounts packages.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task.

About You

- Proven experience leading and motivating teams, ideally having managed volunteers, or a retail team previously
- A strong understanding of what good looks like in a busy and successful community-led shop, ideally with Retail experience
