About the role:

This role is based at Accrington working in a multi agency team at Lancashire House. As a MARRAC Team Leader you will:

• Ensure the effective delivery of the MARRAC process, hosting daily discussions with dedicated partners to support the initial assessment process
• Ensure consistent service delivery by allocating & monitoring work across the team, prioritising according to risk
• Work alongside the police safeguarding teams to deliver Operation Provide
• Chair MARRAC meetings, facilitating the sharing of sensitive information securely to deliver robust outcomes for victims
• Complete case management audits & produce reports
• Be responsible for safeguarding quality assurance & compliance, providing guidance on safeguarding issues
• Line manage a team including recruitment, training & coaching, performance management

You will need:

• Managment experience for a team delivering front line support
• An IDVA Safelives qualification or equivalent
• An understadning of domestic abuse & it's impact
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• To understand Safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these
• Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies
• The ability to work with partner agencies
• Good organisational skills & the ability to prioritise effectively

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will join at an incredibly exciting time for the charity and corporate partnerships programme. About the Role

WISH2 is one of three components of the FCDO-funded WISH Dividend programme, which follows on from the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) programme (August 2018 - March 2024). It will be implemented alongside two other components, which will focus on 1. Policy and Systems, i.e. a demand-led, flexible technical assistance programme on SRHR and Demographic Transition and 2. Evidence and Learning, i.e. a Third Party Monitoring and verification, evaluation and learning support. As for WISH 2, it will aim to support targeted countries on comprehensive SRHR including support for service delivery and technical assistance, and will be implemented through two consortium structures, called Lots. MSI-led Lot 1 will focus on West and Central Africa (namely in DRC, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Chad and Mauritania) and IPPF-led Lot 2 on East and Southern Africa. Lot 1 consortium partners will be MSI, Ipas, Options, Sightsavers, RAES and WILDAF-AO. The programme should start in May/ June 2024 and last 60 months.

As a core member of MSI’s WISH2 Lot 1 Management Team, the Project & Communications Officer (PCO) will contribute to the fulfilment of the MSI-led consortium’s mission under the programme, taking responsibility for providing administrative support and ensuring good communication about the project with external and internal stakeholders, to ensure the smooth implementation of the project -

• Contract management, including compliance, and due diligence;
• Administrative support to the management team, coordination of all WISH 2 Lot 1 Management Team meetings and consortium meetings to ensure strong collaboration, communication and learning through meetings, workshops, country visits, etc;
• Technical support with creation and maintenance of shared systems, and ways of working to ensure best practice and the achievements of the project are documented; and communications, reporting and compliance requirements are adhered to;
• Communications support and materials production, i.e. support the Project Director and Deputy Project Director with the development and implementation of a WISH2 Lot 1 communications and visibility strategy, increasing knowledge and awareness of the project and ensuring compliance with FCDO communications requirements. This will include support to the development of a range of communications materials and their dissemination.

• Knowledge of reproductive health care and rights
• Speaking fluent French

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:

• Demonstrable experience in a communications or grant management role, ideally in an international non-governmental organisation (INGO) or well acknowledged non-governmental organisation (NGO)
• Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders across organisations and across countries
• Experience in supporting the development and implementation of communications and visibility strategies
• Experience creating a wide range of communication products (PPTs, videos, factsheets etc) targeting identified relevant audiences

The experienced Land team is led by this role and includes:

• The Programmes and Projects team running a large pipeline of work including our East Coast Wetlands work;
• The Species team that is setting out plans and delivering projects to recover nature such as the Turtle Dove;
• The Rural Surveying team that sets standards and manages opportunities for our 60,000+ha RSPB reserve estate in England,
• The Ecology and Land Management team which delivers an RSPB standard of land and habitat management as a contractual service externally.

What's the role about?

The Head of Land role provides strategic leadership and a country overview of our work on recovering nature habitat management (on and off reserves), manages country-level relationships with national conservation bodies and is responsible for country land management compliance via management of our rural surveyors. As a member of the Country Leadership Team the post holder will have collective responsibility for the development and delivery of the Country Strategy and accountability for the ensuring that we have an effective overview of our conservation work in country, ensuring standards and support needs are met.

The role is responsible for representing the RSPB’s conservation work in England to external national level audiences. Having an inspiring approach to communications and identifying collaborative opportunities and solving shared challenges in Nature Conservation would be welcome skills. The post holder will provide conservation leadership in country, maintaining an overview of progress against country species and habitats targets and ensuring that we are deploying the most effective interventions from our conservation toolkit in country.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Sound knowledge of the land management sector in England (including the legislative, policy and fiscal frameworks which drive land use change and management);
• A knowledgeable conservationist with proven ecological knowledge and ability to draw on practical and personal knowledge and experience to communicate with credibility to internal and external audiences;
• Experienced programme, project and risk manager able to manage complex programmes, dependencies, costs, time and project teams;
• Experience of setting and leading compliance with standards and developing and managing systems (of oversight and monitoring and review);
• Proven ability to translate strategy into action, developing programmes, prioritising and leading change;
• Proven leadership and people management skills, able to develop team members for high performance and build a positive culture;
• Experience of leading and developing large, multi-disciplinary teams, and
• Proven ability to influence others, build partnerships and negotiate at a senior level.
