About Us
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Internal Audit team as an Internal Auditor. The contractor will be reporting to the Finance and Services Division of the Charity. This role involves conducting regular internal audits of Muslim Hands’ partners in finance-related and compliance matters. This is a unique opportunity to move beyond standard statutory audit assignments and apply your audit skills in a global, challenging, and rewarding sector. Your work will be vital to the success of international charity development projects.

The Senior Grant Officer will play a key role in assessing and administering grant applications, and in coordinating meetings with local voluntary Advisory Panels who help prioritise funding decisions.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of navigating complex situations and identifying practical solutions. You’ll bring strong project management skills to oversee a diverse portfolio of funded projects, and be confident working independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team.
We’re seeking someone with at least one year of experience in project management or grant-making (ideally two), and a solid understanding of the Third Sector. A full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use is essential. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile, and a hire car will be provided for journeys over 120 miles.
The post will be a home-based role located in the Northwest of England, with easy access to the M6 corridor. Preferred locations include Lancaster, Preston or Warrington. The successful candidate must remain based in this region throughout their employment to ensure accessibility to meetings for location-specific funds.
Occasional overnight stays will be required, along with travel to our Head Office in Milton Keynes for team meetings up to three times per year.

About the opportunity:
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly through organising and coordinating fundraising events, such as half-marathons; lead annual fundraising campaigns; in addition to increasing individual giving to the charity through awareness raising and stewardship of regular and one-off donors. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a range of fundraising activities, working with a passionate, committed and driven team.

Salary: £28,331 per annum (plus London weighting of £2,339 per annum, totalling £30,670, if applicable).

Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination and administration of annual sponsored fundraising events Action Tutoring engages with, such as the Hackney Half marathon and London 10K, including the promotion of events, onboarding of runners, campaign page creation, encouraging participants to raise funds, organising materials to be sent to runners (e.g. t-shirts) and tracking of fundraising targets.
- Increase our participation in sponsored fundraising events, in London and our regional hubs.
- Ensure that relevant marketing materials (such as pictures and participants consent to share) are gathered and used to promote events. On occasion be open to travelling to specific events.
- Work with the Fundraising Manager and Marcomms team to ensure that we have strong and appropriate marketing content to support fundraising activity, for example developing supporter communications, evolving our guide to fundraising, maintaining accurate fundraising and donate pages on the website and contributing to the development of our annual impact report.
- Support the organisation and coordination of fundraising and key profile raising events, such as evening events, Action Tutoring anniversary celebrations or funder breakfasts, through sourcing suitable venues and overseeing logistics.
- Support with other key profile raising events, for example, oversee annual fundraising campaigns, such as the Big Give Christmas Challenge, source new campaign opportunities for Action Tutoring to engage and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply/engage with.

- Previous experience in fundraising.

The role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator.
As the IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the development, administration and optimisation of Cruse’s Microsoft 365 environment and wider IT cloud infrastructure.
Working closely with the Head of IT, and the wider Digital Services team of 5 staff, you will ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the needs of our staff and volunteers.
Cruse operates a cloud IT infrastructure providing IT services to staff and volunteers based across the UK and Northern Ireland. Microsoft 365 is the main IT service, but there will also be other IT systems you will need to become familiar with in this role.
Cruse makes use of a managed services IT support provider and numerous application and service provider support teams; you will be required to work with these teams making sure our issues are resolved quickly and with minimum disruption.
As part of your role, you will be involved in BAU and project work and be comfortable with competing priorities and pressures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to advance their technical skills and experience. Where they will have input into the development of the IT systems, working with an experienced and dedicated Head of IT and digital team, for a charity that is investing in its digital strategy and services.
