We are recruiting for two opportunities: one Permanent position and one Fixed-Term (12 months) position.
This role sits within our Connecting Communities service, which is an element of the larger Mental Health and Wellbeing Service in Tower Hamlets. The post holder will be committed to supporting our clients through their recovery and developing greater resilience and wellbeing. This role will offer a personalised approach to accessing welfare and housing-related advice and information, through casework, workshops and advice surgeries.
What you’ll do
- Provide welfare benefits and housing advice to support people with mental health challenges to live independently in the community.
- Help clients understand and resolve issues related to welfare benefits and ensure they receive their correct entitlements.
- Run workshops, groups, and advice surgeries on welfare benefits and related topics, such as money management.
- Work collaboratively with the Connecting Communities team, mental health services, housing associations, and other providers to support welfare benefits enquiries, referrals, and training needs.

We are looking for someone to support the delivery of our life changing programmes.
Ideally you will have some experience in working with young people, vulnerable adults or assisting with education / training programmes.
Our programmes are built around the kitchen and dining table, you will work closely with a Chef trainer and Food Engagement Lead to make the sessions run smoothly. An understanding of food or the hospitality industry is a bonus.
£29,000 - 35,000 per annum, experience dependant - 40hrs per week - Monday - Friday.
The Foundry, E6 5NX and across London as required.

Join us as our Senior Legal Aid Advisor. We will always stand by people standing up to an unjust immigration system. We provide a safe haven for people to rebuild their lives and our Senior Legal Aid Advisor role is a key part of that. Sitting in the immigration team, you will work on our Legal Aid contract alongside a team of Immigration Advisors working on a mix of grant funded projects for migrants unable to afford private representation. You will work within a supportive environment, reporting to our Immigration Manager, and be able to develop your areas of expertise. We’re a small and collaborative team so you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the organisation.
Main Roles
- Manage a full caseload of complex immigration matters funded by legal aid, including asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations (IAAS, SRA, LAA).
- Complete funding applications, manage provider submissions, track time, prepare and submit legal aid bills and ensure compliance with LAA obligations.
- Provide ad hoc supervision, mentoring or training to members of the immigration team working on related immigration matters.
