Job Title: Housing Lead

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new community based service supporting offenders as they transition from prison back into the community; rather than a custodial setting, where residents are able to go out into the community depending on their licence restrictions. As our Housing Lead, you play a vital role in supporting residents futures by working closely with housing stakeholders and residents to create tailored, effective move on plans. You help ensure people have the right tools, support and opportunities to rebuild their lives, reconnect with the community and move forward with confidence in their rehabilitation journey.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
- Act as the main point of contact between landlords, housing associations, local authorities, private landlords, wider Social Interest Group Services, and our residents
- Work with the wider team to support residents with their long term needs
- Provide specialist support to the wider team to ensure they are regularly trained and kept up to date with policies and procedures, including government changes
- Provide regular reports and updates
- Manage current resident tenancies, ensuring timely rent payment
- Support with property and building management and maintenance including scheduling repairs
About You
We're looking for someone who has knowledge on different types of tenancies, an understanding of the types of needs of our resident group, and able to provide tailored solutions to meet their long term goals. You will have a true passion to support in making a change, supporting rehabilitation, and providing opportunities to people to make positive changes to their lives, and reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. Further, you will have:
- Previous experience in coordinating/delivering activities and interventions with people from different backgrounds
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment
- Knowledge of license conditions and public protection
- Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- The ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
- Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others; Proactive in making decisions
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.
Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) on day shifts with a rolling rota. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will work with residents to create tailored support plans, identify their needs, goals, and skills, and motivate them to reach their potential. You will encourage engagement in activities and the community, provide tools for life skills, and ensure effective risk management with a strong focus on public protection. Some Key Responsibilities Include:

About You

- Ability to manage own caseload and determine priorities with time management. Able to use own initiative

Qualifications:
Essential
- Relevant professional and/or academic qualifications or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industry sector
- Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates
Desirable
- Level 2 or above Youth Work Qualification
- Clean Driving Licence
Experience:
Essential
- A knowledge and understanding of digital programmes and other STEM related activities.
- Experience of delivering sessions to children & young people in primary and secondary school settings.
- Experience in line-management of full-time and sessional staff members
- Ability to manage own timetable, meet multiple deadlines and work flexible hours, which may include evenings and school holidays.

- Teaching Qualifications (PETTL / PGCE)
- Outstanding track record in developing education programmes and opportunities for groups who may be hard to reach
- Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation, CCO’s and Football Charity programmes
