We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
Absolutely central to this is designing, commissioning and managing complex and rigorous impact evaluations with experts in the field. The new government has an ambition to halve knife crime within a decade, and we’re anticipating opportunities to work with them to build evidence on new approaches to tackling violence involving children. Your role will focus on creating and making the best of those opportunities. You will:

Serve as a senior member of the team. YEF is buzzing with activity and in order to prevent any bottlenecks, we need to expand our senior capacity.

Run and manage closed calls for complex evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. For each of the programmes we work with, we find and appoint independent evaluators.

Expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders. Aside from evaluators, we work closely with other grantees and partners.

Represent YEF at governance meetings and other external engagements. We’re passionate about our mission, proud of the work we’re doing to get there, and we’re keen to share this with stakeholders.

Provide support and counsel to our team of Senior Evaluation Managers and Evaluation Managers. This team closely manages over 35 efficacy trials, over 20 pilot studies and even more in the earlier stages of evaluation.

Tightly manage and quality assure evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. YEF has set processes to maintain high standards and rigour. This role will ensure all evaluations adhere to these.

The role:
We’re seeking an engaging, organised and experienced individual to join our fantastic Mass Fundraising team on a 6-month fixed term contract!
This role is integral to the delivery of our ambitious Mass Participation fundraising budget. You will support on the delivery of new and existing insight-led fundraising products and reaching targets. You’ll achieve this by leading on end-to-end processes, supporting the Mass team on large-scale projects and campaigns with the aim to increase acquisition and improve retention, as well as using your excellent relationship skills you’ll engage with and steward our supporters.
About You
- You will have a good knowledge of Community and Individual Giving fundraising and have worked in a fundraising or a Supporter Care team with a focus on community and events supporters and fulfilment
- You will have an excellent track record of engaging with supporters through a range of channels including SMS, phone and email stewardship including but not limited to: event good luck calls, sponsorship chasing, general fundraising support
- You will have Community and events/fundraising process delivery experience including experience of Raisers Edge (preferable), updating data files

Role Purpose
GDI Hub are looking for a Research Assistant to support the team across its portfolio of projects with a diversity of clients, partners and stakeholders.
The Research Assistant role sits within GDI Hub’s Community Interest Company’s Research and Delivery Team, led by Mikaela Patrick, Head of Research and Delivery.
For a portfolio of clients (for example, Asian Development Bank, World Bank & IFC, Carbon Trust and Dubai Expo City), and projects under the UK Aid funded AT2030 programme cluster ‘Integrate - Strengthen the systems which make inclusion a reality’ (for example, Local production Systems of AT, Designing Inclusive Dignity Kits for Dissemination in Humanitarian Crises and Climate Resilient Cities), GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary research
- Report academic research and grey literature publications with recommendations, blogs and insights reports
- Provide strategic and operational consultancy and technical assistance
- Design and deliver training and workshops, host and present speaker sessions
- Organise knowledge dissemination for high impact
- Track impact and reach of research and delivery
GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team have a range of thematic expertise, including inclusive design, accessibility, inclusive infrastructure, inclusive climate resilience and responses, disability and gender, financial inclusion and inclusive private sector practice.
The majority of GDI Hub Research and Delivery Team’s work has a focus in Low or Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).
GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team and work is growing fast, and this role has been created to strengthen the team and its delivery across its portfolio of work.
Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working or academic study in relevant fields (including working closely and collaboratively with disabled people and disabled people’s organisations is desirable), such as international disability inclusion, assistive and accessible technology, accessibility and inclusive design, disability innovation and global health; with willingness to grow expertise across these areas.
- Ideally have some experience (approx. 2-5 years) working on research projects and/or practice-focused research in a related field. This could be as part of further study, research or in a work capacity. Real work experience is desirable.
- A post graduate qualification or equivalent work experience, focused on an area relevant to disability inclusion, accessibility and / or assistive technology.
- Experience and confidence to independently conduct qualitative research and analysis, and literature reviews.
- Experienced in quantitative research and analysis with proficiency in designing and running quantitative data collection via surveys and analysing results to inform statistically representative and robust results. Confidence to independently conduct descriptive and correlational analysis using for e.g., ExCel, Python, R or SPSS.
- Independence in producing clear and insightful infographics and data visualisations.
- Excellent written communication skills, with ability to take on writing of reports using clear and compelling narrative; experience authoring lucid and informative insights and reporting.
- Excellent ability to communicate, work in a small dynamic team, and collaborate with individuals with diverse technical backgrounds and with external stakeholders.
- Confidence in client relationship management for organisation of meetings, email engagements and clients and stakeholder presentations.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. We provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Work with the Head of Philanthropy and Prospect Researcher to build a Philanthropy prospect pipeline

Write accurate, inspiring and compelling fundraising propositions and reports for potential and existing major donors

Review and make recommendations for improvement of our existing donor journey, building a calendar of engaging content and touchpoints throughout the year.

Lead on devising, developing and organising bespoke events for donors and prospects

Complete timely event reviews to improve and inform future decision making and planning.

Work in partnership with the wider fundraising teams to provide excellent supporter care to all event attendees and stakeholders.

Support the Head of Philanthropy to build relationships with senior volunteers to garner their support with hosting and supporting events to connect us to, and unlock, their networks.

Use our CRM database (Salesforce) to log KPIs, project and reconcile finances and manage supporter relationships

Be responsible for ensuring an up-to-date bank of engaging content and materials for existing partners, including but not limited to, commissioning video content, compiling reports and building case studies.

About the role
The Corporate Relationships Executive provides administrative solutions and support to the Business and Industry (B&I) team, with a particular focus on supporting our work with Corporate Members. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Relationships, this role works closely with the Head and three Corporate Relationships Managers, and the wider B&I team, to ensure the smooth running of our membership network and other stakeholder relationships. This includes taking the lead on planning and drafting all communications, event and meeting management, project managing the development of new materials, and being a point of contact for our members internally and externally.
The role is London based at the EngineeringUK offices at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and will involve some (approximately quarterly) travel in the UK (including overnight). We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and core hours of 10am to 4pm.

Our Trusts and Foundations team sits withing our Philanthropy and Strategy directorate and develops relationships with Trust and Foundations who wish to donate and support Cancer Research UK with our life-saving research. As a Senior Philanthropy Executive you will support frontline fundraisers by planning and co-ordinating activity for the Trusts & , Foundations team. What will I be doing?

Delivering the Philanthropy plan
- Work with the Senior Philanthropy Lead and Head of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy

We are looking for a Relationship Executive to join our Supporter Led Fundraising team. You'll join the team that is responsible for working in the community with our supporters, inspiring and motivating them to raise money to contribute to our life saving research. We are nothing without our supporters and so this is a chance to work in a role where you will have direct contact with them and an impact on how much money they raise.
As a Relationship Executive you'll work on managing individual, group and corporate supporter relationships. You'll provide an exceptional level of service, predominantly over the phone and by mail and email, to help maximise in year and lifetime value, and transition relevant supporters to Relationship Managers to extend their journey with us.

What will I be doing?
Managing initial and ongoing contact for low, mid value and light touch relationships including and not limited to individuals, fundraising groups, corporate organisations, and Free Will service acquisitions within the region
Providing excellent customer service to support fundraisers via phone, mail and e-mail, enhancing their fundraising experience and driving increased income and lifetime value
Providing timely contact to supporters at various stages of their fundraising journey, providing reward, recognition, and fundraising materials as required
Supporting the development of a robust prospect pipeline of opportunities, identifying and cultivating leads with a strong focus on lifetime value to CRUK
Identifying supporters with high value potential or specific stewardship requirements across income streams and passing relationships to the Relationship Manager to maximise income and build long term relationships
Responsible for achieving agreed income target and support regional budgets by reporting on and setting monthly targets
Working with wider divisional team and drive supporter recruitment and re-engagement
Ensuring supporter records are entered and maintained on systems and associated pipelines.
What are you looking for?
