This Department comprises the Academy, which supports the professional development of staff and volunteers in rescues and rehoming organisations and Grants & Programmes, which provides strategic funding and support to organisations and researchers within the animal welfare sector. The team is seeking a Grants & Programmes Coordinator to support the development and delivery of the Grants & Programmes function. They will act as first point of contact for the Grants & Programmes team; assist with administration of grants, the maintenance of data, produce reports; develop blogs and case studies; and manage travel for team and grantee events.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Culturally Appropriate Advocacy Service provides Advocacy for racially minoritised people (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people) in Greater Manchester who are being treated in a psychiatric inpatient site or who are at risk of detention under the Mental Health Act.

We aim to address racial disparities experienced in mental health care through Advocacy. We know that people from racially minoritised backgrounds are more likely to be detained under the Mental Health Act and experience worse outcomes when accessing care. Our Advocates work in partnership with the people they support and take their side. We promote social inclusion and social justice through Advocacy.

We want to proactively support our Advocate team and are introducing independent group supervisions based on the feedback from our Advocates. The Group Supervision Facilitator will facilitate monthly 1.5-hour group supervision sessions for a team of Culturally Appropriate Independent Advocates.

We are looking for an experienced people manager for our Skills Development team. This team creates and delivers internal training for Centrepoint colleagues. This role will lead a small team of trainers who design and deliver training both under an existing curriculum and new developments as demand requires. We are ideally looking for a manager with a background in Health & Social care, Social Housing, local authority, charity sector and/or delivering and developing training.

What you’ll be doing

The Skills Development Manager is responsible for a team who are developing a robust, diverse, inclusive and inspiring curriculum across the organisation. We are developing a large amount of new and exciting courses across a wide range of subjects, so we are open to individuals with a variety of experience. To ensure colleagues are suitability supported the role holder will be responsible for liaising with managers, HR and other functions to ensure that team members have access to training that fits around organisational requirements and that all team members are safe and competent.

The role will also include elements of operational management such as ensuring a demand lead programme of training, reporting to demonstrate progress and highlight areas of focus, processing invoices, supporting staff completing external apprenticeships and external stakeholder management.

About Us

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity is looking for dynamic, passionate and motivated Support and Progression Officers that can provide quality support to our young people to join our Barnet Foyer service in Cricklewood. We help young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.

The service accommodates 24 single young people, usually, between the ages of 16 and 21. Young people stay at the service for up to 2 years before moving to more permanent accommodation. Barnet Service is quite a large building and offers a number of additional resources including a fully equipped gym. Barnet is a diversified environment with young people and colleagues from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and the service and other stakeholders celebrate and maximize the opportunities that diversity present.

This role involves working 37.5 hours per week on a rota Monday to Friday (not including Bank Holidays). All staff must be available to work the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You will be working with a team of three other Support and Progression Officers and the manager. Two staff members work together for each shift.

In this role you will:

• Work face to face with young people and support them to achieve their goals and independence.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest possible standards of accommodation
• Undertake initial and ongoing needs/risk assessments for young people. Be able to identify safeguarding risks and understand how to escalate any concerns
• Manage your own caseload of young people, person centred support in line with their needs and aspirations
• Liaise with multiple agencies to ensure effective communication across the service and externally including social work teams, YOS, health and other statutory services and voluntary agencies
• Make internal and external referrals to a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies for specialist support and Employment and Training opportunities
• Support young people to manage their rent accounts through liaison with the DWP, Social Services CenterPoint’s rent team and building their own personal budgeting skills

Berwick Street service is a high support needs 24hours service for people aged 16 to 25yrs. Many clients will be care leavers or have experienced homelessness.

Our Westminster services is a low support service at the final stage of the Westminster’s Pathway. The service aim is to improve the life chances of single homeless or vulnerably housed young people, supporting them to develop independent living skills in supported temporary accommodation. The service works with young people in shared flats.

What we want from you

All our teams play a vital role in supporting Battersea’s mission. Whether that’s on the front line, providing direct care to our animals, or behind the scenes in our office roles. Our IT department is responsible for providing IT business support and services that align with our organisational needs.

We now have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Cloud Administrator to provide 3rd level project and helpdesk support, acting as an escalation point for the support team. This opportunity is integral to providing consistent IT support across all three of our centres.

In this role you will ensure our internal physical and virtual server and network is maintained for 7 day a week operation. Your focus will be on infrastructure, and you will work across all six of our business applications. The Hepatitis C Trust develops projects nationally where peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training, increase hepatitis C awareness, and access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C. 

Working with the South West Peninsula ODN, The Hepatitis C Trust are now expanding this commitment through the introduction of the HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) surveillance and early liver disease detection programme.

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge? Do you have experience of working within health services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by liver disease or supported those at higher risk of developing liver disease? 

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work on their own, engage with stakeholders and have a desire to make a difference in promoting liver screening in community settings, and by increasing access to specialist care services.

Working in partnership with local hospital and community outreach clinics, the post holder will ensure that patients are supported through initial liver assessment and ongoing surveillance as required. The post will coordinate delivery of educational and awareness workshops and promote the delivery of liver screening in community settings 

Working under the guidance of the South West Peninsula Peer Programme Manager, the post-holder will work alongside other identified partners to help develop a community outreach liver surveillance program and carry out HCC early detection activity and interventions across Plymouth.

We require a good standard of education, willingness to travel and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work. We are a patient-led organisation – you will be working in an environment where the patient/service user/client is placed at the centre of all that you do. This post will require extensive travel across the region and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

About the Role

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.  
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide support to all the women, including running co-designed activities and accompanying women to appointments. You will work closely with Specialist Support Workers who manage individual resident support and safety plans.
• You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rota, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.
