This is a varied and challenging position, but one that’s incredibly rewarding. Key duties:

You’ll take the lead on a wide range of digital marketing activity. This includes planning and delivering creative, insight-driven campaigns; developing a content strategy that connects with our audiences; managing end-to-end website performance, SEO, and digital advertising; and driving engagement in initiatives like BVA’s annual awards.

You’ll also work closely with our partner organisations, developing joint marketing plans that effectively promote exclusive and discounted benefits for BVA members.

You'll be bringing a strategic mindset as well as strong practical skills - from writing engaging content, overseeing multimedia production, and optimising email campaigns, to interpreting data in GA4 to improve performance. You should be confident working across various CMS platforms and multiple channels, with an eye for accessible, user-focused design and messaging.

Main purpose of post
This is a senior role within the Fundraising team, responsible for driving forward
Weston Park Cancer Charity’s income generation strategy across key fundraising
channels, particularly within community fundraising, donor development, and
community partnerships. Working with the Head of Fundraising and community
fundraising team, you will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious and
creative community fundraising programme.
You will be responsible for managing a small, dedicated team of three, ensuring
high performance, innovation, and supporter-focused approaches that help us
grow our impact across the region.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery, ensuring that we
meet community income generation plans to achieve and exceed annual targets
currently c. £800k per annum.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
 Lead and deliver an ambitious and creative community fundraising
programme, identifying new opportunities to engage individuals, groups,
schools, faith groups, sports clubs, volunteer fundraisers, and community
organisations.
 Maintain, develop and deliver a calendar of high-impact community
campaigns such as Time for Tea, that inspire participation, raise awareness of
the charity’s work, and generate sustainable income.
 Use insights and audience data to create tailored supporter journeys that
build long-term relationships, encourage repeat fundraising, and deepen
engagement.
 Harness audience data and insight to expand our fundraising reach,
increasing income in underserved areas of the region.
 Represent the charity at community events, delivering public talks,
stewarding key supporters, and raising awareness of WPCC’s work across
our region.
 Oversee the delivery of income and engagement targets, measuring impact,
evaluating outcomes, and embedding continuous improvement across all
community fundraising activity

Monitoring & Reporting
 Manage community fundraising income and expenditure budgets, ensuring
strong ROI and cost-effectiveness.
 Produce regular reports for senior leadership on performance, trends, and
forecasts.
 Ensure data is accurately recorded, monitored, and used to inform decisionmaking.

Team Management and Development
 Line manage and inspire team members.

 Provide support and guidance to the wider community and fundraising
team where appropriate.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

The Compliance Team’s role is to provide assurance that, based on evidence, internal controls are in place and are operating effectively. We are responsible for ensuring Centrepoint can operate and develop safely within regulatory frameworks. The team, which consists of managers, officers and a head of department, oversees several aspects of compliance across Centrepoint, including fundraising, employability & skills, data protection, complaints, internal policies and procedures and safeguarding.   

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The current requirement is a minimum of two days in the office per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. From 1 July 2025, this will increase to a minimum of 50% of your working week. Service delivery

• Lead the day-to-day management of Ella’s safe houses, and outreach services

• Ensure all caseworkers provide high-quality, holistic support tailored to each woman’s needs

• Ensure casework systems are used consistently and effectively across the team

• Oversee accurate and timely completion of risk assessments, support plans, and case notes

• Provide emotional support and hands-on casework guidance where needed

• Coordinate referrals and ensure women are welcomed into the service with care and dignity

Safeguarding and Compliance

● Manage safeguarding incidents and concerns.  In the absence of the Designated Safeguarding Leads liaise with external agencies including social services, police, and other statutory bodies.

● Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across all programme areas, conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits.

● Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including data protection, health and safety, and equality requirements.

Data Management and Reporting

● Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of programme data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funder requirements.

   • Participate in client and industry events to represent the organisation, expand networks, and identify new business opportunities.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

   • Monitor client engagement, satisfaction levels, and service outcomes; produce regular progress reports for management.

   • Oversee tracking and analysis of client-related statistics to ensure targets are met and clients receive impactful, value-driven service.

   • Manage and track client data and prospect pipelines using CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.

   • Report to SLT on accounts, Tenders, Bids, client meetings on a regular basis

   • Be curious to explore our Salesforce system data, understanding and interpreting delivery and impact data 

4. Team Management and Support Coordination

   • Lead, mentor, and manage junior members of the team focused on bid application writing, tender management, and client-related administration.

   • Support direct reports in producing and reviewing high-quality application documents and responses that align with client requirements and enhance our partnership outcomes.

   • Provide oversight to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently, supporting smooth client interactions and consistent follow-through.

   • Work with other area leaders, such as our ‘Allocations’ and Recruitment teams to ensure we can fulfil referrals

   • Foster a strong working relationship between the Partnerships team and Recruitment, to ensure our application strategy is informed by tutor availability. 

5. Bid Management and Process Improvement

   • Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with administrators to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

   • Continuously review and improve internal processes to optimise bid management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

   • Report on bid submission performance, review client feedback to continuously improve. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of the UK Education Sector. 

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.

• Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.

• Experience managing a small team, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure high-performance standards.

• High level of empathy and commitment to supporting under-resourced and underserved communities.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet both short- and long-term deadlines effectively.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking client data, leads, and progress.

• Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to address issues independently and provide client-focused solutions.

• Able to work in a high pressure environment, whilst taking initiative, we would want the postholder to ask for support when needed.ed

Desirable:

• Exceptional written communication skills, with proven confidence in drafting, editing, and refining persuasive content across a variety of formats. Experience in bid and tender writing or grant applications is advantageous, though a background in producing compelling written materials for diverse purposes is equally valued.
