Job Title: Engagement Worker
Location: Bedford
Salary: £24,500
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday hours can vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 12:00 - 20:00 on a rota basis which will include varying hours dependent on service needs. You may also be required to work bank holidays if the rota falls on this day.
About the role
We're looking for an Engagement Worker to join our residential service based in Bedford which is a 19-bed residential service close to Bedford Town Centre offering a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wishing to engage with support to assist them in increasing their levels of independence. You will support with various responsibilities within the service, with a focus on providing social contact and company to help enhance quality of life, personal safety, health and security, sustainment of tenancy and improving financial independence. You will support our residents to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to gain greater independence, supporting them back into the community.
The role is varied, with each day being different, depending on service and resident needs. You may need to run and engage in activities, complete support sessions, arrange external activities, in house activities, and support with attending appointments.

Parentsactive CIC is the parent/carer forum for Hammersmith and Fulham and works to empower parent/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from birth through to adults.
We are delighted to be recruiting a Co-production Coordinator to work alongside our parents and carers of young disabled adults to ensure they have meaningful opportunities to inform and influence strategic and operational developments across Hammersmith and Fulham that will lead to a better future for them and their young person.
The Co-production Coordinator will support the coordination of a range of activities designed to increase coproduction across the borough’s health, education and social care systems.
The successful candidate will be passionate about coproduction and ensuring the voice of people with lived experience is heard. They will have strong skills in working collaboratively with a wide range of people including families, statutory and third sector partners. The person will be a good listener, compassionate and understanding of the issues related to supporting a disabled adult to live their best life and have the confidence to challenge when necessary.

- Work with the Students’ Union Staff to develop our member's understanding of the Union, its elected officers and how our democratic functions work.

You are able to communicate with clarity and impact, tailoring your message to diverse audiences - from policymakers to grassroots activists. You are confident working independently and collaboratively within a small, flexible team, balancing strategic vision with practical delivery.
