About the role
Beat is recruiting a Helpline Advisor to support the team in responding to the significant demand from those affected by eating disorders. Beat are receiving more contacts than ever before, this is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of each and every person that gets in touch, this includes sufferers, family, friends, supporters and more. Working as part of the Helpline team, the Helpline Advisor’s role is to ensure that incoming contacts from our beneficiaries receive high quality, timely support when they need it.
We particularly encourage applications from Welsh speakers for this role; we have received funding from the Welsh government and are looking to improve our service delivery for our Welsh-speaking beneficiaries.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced community fundraiser who will play an instrumental role in our established as well as new fundraising events, community engagement, stewardship, increasing awareness of the Centre as well as income generation.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engage, inspire and encourage supporters, schools, community groups and high street businesses fundraising on behalf of the charity, helping them to achieve their full potential by providing a positive supporter journey.
- Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters, securing sustainable growth of income and supporter numbers
- Research and approach local businesses to gain support from them and their customers through fundraising e.g sponsorship of events, cause related marketing and social media platforms

Financial Controller Role
The Diocese of Arundel & Brighton is a registered charity with care of 250 staff, 180 members of clergy, and many hundreds of volunteers. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful applicant will oversee a finance team of 5, including a qualified management accountant and two colleagues engaged in studies.

We are recruiting for a Head of Audience Strategy to join on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role working full-time, 35 hours per week, with occasional travel required for team and stakeholder meetings and events.
The last few years have seen unprecedented growth in the public profile of dementia, driven in part by the growing size, impact and ambition of Alzheimer’s Society – the UK’s leading dementia charity. We now need to ensure that everyone who needs dementia support today can access it, while improving our ability to attract, engage and retain the donors, volunteers and campaigners who so generously give money, time and voice to deliver enduring change. Crucial to this is strategic audience development: driving growth by being clearer about who we need to engage, why, and how.
As Head of Audience Strategy, you will develop a comprehensive strategy that delivers a step-change in the maturity and effectiveness of audience insight at Alzheimer’s Society. Built on a range of high-quality insight, data analysis and modelling, the strategy will reflect the evolving relationship to dementia and our Society among the public and other key external stakeholders.
You will work to identify the priority groups we need to engage to drive sustainable growth across all areas of engagement. You and your team will support teams to develop acquisition and engagement strategies which feel truly audience-led, orchestrating warm supporter communications and journeys which ensure we’re growing the right audiences to meet our objectives.
A priority will be ensuring that teams have the right tools to understand, segment and target their priority audiences. You will also be responsible for supporting teams to generate high-quality evaluations of activity in relation to audience goals – using these to capture new insights that improve our overall understanding and demonstrate the value of your team. At all times, you’ll act as an articulate champion of the power of audience strategy. You will lead senior conversations across the Society about what we know and wish to achieve with our audiences and constantly seek opportunities for your team to support others to enhance their impact and deepen their engagement.
We have provisionally scheduled the first stage of interviews for this role to take place on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November.
About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience in developing and implementing audience or engagement strategies, and extensive experience of diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate proven ability to synthesise these insights and apply them to all levels of the marketing funnel, across cold and warm audiences.
Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and use your communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. You’ll be able to take a holistic view across the areas you manage and use this insight to contribute to organisational strategy through an audience development lens.
You don’t need to have a background in the charity sector, and you may or may not have a connection to dementia, you might be an accomplished Audience Insight professional looking for progression or be an established senior leader in this area already. This role is vital for expanding the Ramblers reach, enhancing its financial stability, and strengthening its community impact. You will develop and implement effective acquisition strategies, engage potential members and supporters, and foster long-term relationships aligned with the organisation's mission and values. You are a subject-matter expert in fundraising acquisition and digital marketing.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the Ramblers membership acquisition programme to attract and retain new members and supporters. This includes integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital and face-to-face) and a test-and-learn approach to optimise conversion rates, sales, ROI and life-time value, with support from the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. At the Ramblers our current key acquisition channels are Digital Marketing, telemarketing and private site.
- Manage our welcome and reactivation programmes (email, mail and telephone).
- Using evidence-based insights, work with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience to evolve the membership proposition (embedding Ramblers new digital assets, platforms, products, offers) to enhance our relevance and reach.
- Manage the acquisition budget of c£500k, producing timely reports to the Head of Member and Supporter Experience on income, expenditure and KPIs to monitor performance against plans. Lead the reforecast process for key lines accountable for and support the budget process.
- Lead key acquisition projects across the organisation, delivering to time and budget.
- Ensure regulatory compliance is embedded across team processes and communications in areas such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), Gift Aid, and the Fundraising Regulator. Ensure any agencies used adhere to the high standards we set.

What the job involves
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work. This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.
This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.
You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.
You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices. Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide specialist emotional and practical support and information to people affected by brain tumours, their friends, families and carers through a variety of solutions including phone, email, webchat, online, social media plus new evolving channels
- Provide high quality information which reflects the most up to date research, clinical information and treatments, in a way people can understand. Conducting the research yourself and adapting your communication to suit the person you are supporting is key
- Offer coaching guidance to empower individuals, helping them to achieve the appropriate next steps
- Work in conjunction with the Volunteer Development Manager to recruit, train and manage volunteers who assist in delivering support services
- Lead on aspects of cross team projects and develop new resources that meet our community’s needs, while collaborating with other teams and external partners
- Identify gaps in knowledge across the Support Team and identify possible training areas
- Developing information for our website and other resources, for example, writing initial drafts and reviewing information
- Plan and facilitate online and in person events for the brain tumour community, including online meet ups for young adults
- Day to day management of our online peer support platforms, for example our Facebook groups for Young Adults affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.
- Provide support to our Young Ambassadors through coordinating activities and check ins, facilitating meetings, and enabling meaningful input into our Young Adults Service.
- Update and maintain accurate contact information on the CRM database, producing data reports as required to evidence the impact and reach of our support services
- Identify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with The Charity guidelines
- Review day to day tasks across the Support Team

About the role
As Head of Health and Safety, you will lead the design and delivery of an organisation-wide health and safety strategy that embeds a proactive, people-centred safety culture across Save the Children UK. About you
We're looking for a Health & Safety leader with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills who is excited to deliver true impact.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent, with demonstrable competence as a Health & Safety leader.
- Significant experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in a complex multi-site organisation (e.g., retail, charity, facilities, or commercial).
- Proven track record of developing and embedding H&S management systems and delivering cultural change.
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk management frameworks, and compliance obligations.
- Experience managing serious incidents, investigations, and regulatory engagement.
- Skilled communicator, able to influence senior leaders and engage volunteers and frontline staff.
- Experience building and leading H&S teams, including developing others' competence.
- Knowledge of security, and safeguarding interactions with H&S.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
- Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with leaders and influence at all levels.

Job Purpose:
Lead and develop the strategy for MSF’s Donor Development and Legacies Programme, being accountable for all communications to warm donors (including regular givers and mid value donors) which focus on building relationships with individual supporters to increase their financial contribution and loyalty. Supervise and motivate the Supporter Development Manager (SDM) to implement the supporter development programme with the aim of increasing the lifetime value of MSF UK supporters, by increasing donor knowledge and understanding of humanitarian action and their awareness of the importance of their own support to MSF. The DD&LL is responsible for the full DD&L budget and oversees the SDM, Mid-Value Manager (MVM) and LMM to plan and manage the supporter development, mid-value and legacies budgets. The Head of Individual Giving (HIG) is accountable for the full Individual Giving budget which the donor development, mid-value and legacies budgets are within.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Considerable experience of fundraising at a strategic level with a proven track record in the planning and management against budget, timescale and deadlines. This must include knowledge about warm direct mail, radio, print campaigns, legacy fundraising and fulfilment.
- Knowledge about the MSF brand and how this is translated into fundraising communications.
- Knowledge about and the application of the strategy and ethos of fundraising at MSF.
- Significant knowledge about fundraising audiences and segmentation.
- Experience of line management and managing a team.
