About the role

The post-holder will lead a team of advocates working with adults and young people across NHS and private hospitals and the local community.

You will be required to provide line management support, be the point of contact for our stakeholders and ensure high quality delivery of our advocacy contracts.

Key responsibilities

î  Lead the delivery of assigned advocacy services actively encouraging your team to contribute to service planning, quality improvement and development.

î  Ensure the team provides instructed and non-instructed advocacy and signposting, working to the advocacy empowerment cycle and actively promoting self-advocacy throughout all work with service users where practicable.

î  Ensure the team capture high quality advocacy notes, outcomes information and other evidence into the Case Management System in a timely manner.

î  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new legislation and reports and current trends and issues in mental health, mental capacity, care act, and health and social care legislation, local and national policy relating to people with mental health issues and disseminate across your team.

î  Ensure quality standards are achieved by implementing operational policies and procedures to maintain professional and consistent advocacy services.

About the Role

Our Ayrshire and Arran Infant Feeding Peer Support Project is commissioned by NHS Ayrshire and Arran to offer infant feeding support as part of the integrated Infant Feeding service. The support is delivered, on a one to one basis to the families from an antenatal through to when your baby is 6-8 weeks old, in families homes, via phone, text and video calls.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing one to one breastfeeding support to families within Ayrshire and Arran, at peoples homes, via phone, text and video calls.

· Inputting information onto patients records within platforms used by the health professionals in the region.

· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.  

· To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 

· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Ayrshire and Arran area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 16 hours per week which to be worked in 4 hours shifts over 4 days. This role is based within the community across Ayrshire and Arran.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across South Wales but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the South Wales region, delivering both remote and face to face support. The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions.  Occasional travel to London will be required.  The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working and an expectation to work from one of 2 offices, 2 days per week. Reporting into the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team, responsible for the delivery of core elements of the Supporter Acquisition programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead in the development and delivery of Supporter Acquisition campaigns/activity/products across a range of media, with a specific focus on digital channels, in line with strategy, planned budgets and targets, ensuring campaign deadlines are met.
• Work closely with the Individual Giving Manager – Supporter Acquisition to plan, manage and deliver the annual operating plan, including end-to-end project management, making decisions within agreed parameters, providing recommendations for final approval.
• Be responsible for the briefing and the day-to-day management of internal and external suppliers including copy and artwork development through to production, broadcast and final print.
• Monitor and report on campaign/activity/product performance/KPIs (e.g. end of campaign reports, monthly reporting) and analyse results to enhance campaign performance and inform campaign planning, decision making and improvements to Supporter Acquisition.
• Manage the briefing and liaising with the Data team to deliver complex and accurate data selections and reporting requirements.

Person Specification:

• Experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multi-channel, multi-discipline environment, especially through supporter acquisition channels.
• Good project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.
• Knowledge of best practice digital fundraising, with particular experience of running Search, Social and online campaigns to increase supporters and gather data for future marketing opportunities.
• Experience of managing campaign budgets, reforecast of activity, monitoring, reconciling and reporting on results in line with KPIs.
• Experience of managing external relationships, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation re costs and contractual obligations.

The Head of Finance is a key member of Tara Theatre’s senior management team, overseeing the company’s financial processes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. They will report to Alys Beider, Tara’s new Executive Director and Joint Chief Executive and support with strategic long-term financial and business planning as well as annual and quarterly budgeting.

They are responsible for maintaining the company accounts, preparing quarterly management accounts, cashflow forecasts and financial reports and analysis for the executive team and the board of trustees.

Tara Theatre is a company limited by guarantee and a charity. It has two trading subsidiaries, Tara Productions and Tara Enterprises. We currently have an annual turnover of circa £1 million. We manage our finances and payroll in-house, currently using Xero.
