We are recruiting a Fundraising and Engagement Assistant Apprentice to provide outstanding data management, supporter care and assist the Challenge Events Fundraising Officer and wider fundraising team to support our income generation.
What you will do:
- Support the Fundraising team to uphold a high level of supporter care with a view to retention and increased engagement.
- Efficiently and accurately process and reconcile all incoming donation information, received daily, weekly and monthly from multiple digital sources, onto our database and acknowledge these within agreed timescales.
- Analyse all online income including but not exclusively from Just Giving, Enthuse, PayPal Giving Fund and Facebook along with all other income.
- Ensure that all third party received income is recorded on Raisers Edge and produce accurate reports for internal stakeholders.
- Be the first point of contact for challenge event supporters and manage and respond to queries.
- Record and update non-financial supporter information such as, communication preferences, research information and other personal information in line with our Data Protection policy.
- Distribute all parcels in a timely manner, making sure everything is recorded accurately.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- English and Maths GCSE or equivalent grade C or above
- Previous experience providing dedicated administration support.
- Experience of handling sensitive information appropriately
- Experience of working effectively within a team environment and assisting colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports.
- Ability to handle calls and enquiries from stakeholders including people who may be vulnerable and /or bereaved sensitively and appropriately.

The Juice Academy is an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Clare Sweeney from Keepace Consulting to deliver the 13-15 month Fundraiser Level 3 programme. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training from current industry experts. The training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning (two optional in-person days) in Manchester, and virtual half-day classrooms via Zoom. Apprentices also receive the on-the-job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices go through an End Point Assessment and are graded a pass, merit or distinction. Apprentices currently have a 94% distinction rate. The Juice Academy are part of the Apprentify Group, and development coaches support apprentices throughout the programme.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic and detail-oriented Senior Programme Manager to oversee the ongoing delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This exciting role focuses on managing the implementation, budget and contractual aspects as well as lessons learned of the programme, ensuring its success in meeting our ambitious targets to equip underserved communities with essential AI and digital skills.

About the role:
We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan.
The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team.
Main Duties/Tasks:
You will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated employees and volunteers, fostering strong community engagement and maximising the shop’s impact. The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions.
Degrees’ programmatic work is centred on capacity-building through research grants and North–South and South–South collaboration schemes, outreach activities, and cross-cutting community building. As part of this, Degrees runs workshops in the Global South that bring new voices into the SRM conversation, and our research funds support scientists and other experts in developing countries as they research what SRM could mean for their regions and become part of a global research community.

Joining a growing team, the Policy Engagement Assistant will support the Policy Engagement and Programmes teams through the provision of administrative services to ensure the efficient organisation of, execution of, and participation in events. Purpose of the post

Reports to: Director of Fundraising
Purpose:
Bipolar UK is seeking a Fundraising Supporter Engagement Assistant to aid the Fundraising Team in donor stewardship and to enabling growth in the organisation’s supporter base across all income streams.
This role is an apprenticeship with the apprentice programme starting September 2025, provided by Apprentify - an industry-led apprenticeship provider.
The successful candidate will learn and work on the job at Bipolar UK whilst receiving 20% off-the-job training from industry experts, which will be led through virtual classrooms.

In summary the Fundraising Supporter Engagement Assistant will support the fundraising team in growing the community, individual and events fundraising income streams, and be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.
Key responsibilities

Ensure that all our fundraisers and donors are thanked in an appropriate manner, developing a robust stewardship programme.

Support fundraising volunteers in a professional but empathetic way.

Provide relevant information and resources to our fundraising volunteers in a timely manner.

Support the team with sourcing fundraising merchandise and materials.

Record all supporters’ non-financial information on the CRM in line with our data policies.

Co-ordinate the challenge events programme and explore new initiatives to help grow this income stream.

Support the fundraising team with the promotion and delivery of workplace training sessions.

Help grow membership for our Bipolar Friendly Workplace Scheme and develop effective stewardship plans.

Become a valued member of the Fundraising team, sharing knowledge and best practice.

Support other members of the team in the development and delivery of all our fundraising activities.

Work closely with colleagues to develop robust fundable project proposals that align with current and future growth plans of Bipolar UK.

We're seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator to help shape the future of chemistry education.
With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. You'll build strong partnerships with local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks, and collaborate with national organisations to advance our education policy across the UK and Ireland. You’ll monitor educational developments, contribute to policy-influencing documents, and share our views with policy makers and other stakeholders.
This role will require extensive travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including attending and running events for teachers and student teachers, working with members, and meeting key education contacts. Expect to travel about twice a week, depending on the academic timetable, and occasionally work weekends and non-core hours.
Responsibilities:
Regional engagement and delivery: Lead the project management and delivery of education initiatives tailored to the needs of the local education community, aligned with our strategy. This includes understanding teacher needs, delivering direct support (e.g, workshops, online sessions), advising on the use of our resources, and commissioning internal support to enhance the impact of our services.
Local curriculum expertise and relevance: Champion and advise on local curricula to ensure our education programmes remain relevant and impactful for all teachers across the UK and Ireland. This includes providing guidance and advice to colleagues and partners on best practices for local curricula.
Partnership and stakeholder engagement:
• Develop and maintain successful partnerships and relationships with organisations and education stakeholders in the region (including local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks) to support the effective delivery of our programmes and initiatives. This also includes engaging with local members to act as advocates for chemistry and showcase best practice in school engagement activities.
• Build and maintain strategic links and collaborations with national organisations, government agencies, sister societies, and other policy influencers to inform the development and advancement of our education policy and resources.
Contribution to education policy and intelligence: Contribute to our education policy activities by monitoring educational developments, compiling and analysing relevant information, and drafting policy-influencing documents such as consultation responses and position statements.
What we are looking for:
• A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to write effectively for different audiences and deliver clear and engaging presentations both online and in-person.
• Good project management and team working skills and experience, with the ability to work independently.

Job Purpose
To provide confidential, accessible, and high-quality counselling support to students aged 16–18 and apprentices at Ada, the National College for Digital Skills. The counsellor will play a key role in promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive mental health to enable students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. The role supports the college’s mission to empower a diverse generation of digital pioneers by removing emotional barriers to learning and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Direct Student Support
- Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to students and apprentices, including those experiencing mental health challenges, emotional distress, trauma, and/or personal issues.
- Deliver short-term, goal-focused therapeutic interventions based on students’ needs and referral pathways.
- Maintain appropriate and confidential records in line with safeguarding and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). Using the College’s CPOMS systems to record sessions.
2. Collaboration and Safeguarding
- Work closely with the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team, including the Designated Safeguarding Lead, to assess risk and provide timely interventions.
- Attend and contribute to safeguarding meetings, case conferences, and strategy discussions where appropriate.
- Make referrals to external mental health and support services when specialist or long-term intervention is required.
- Be a visible and approachable member of the learner services team, building trusted relationships with staff and students.
3. Promotion of Wellbeing
- Support the delivery of a proactive mental health strategy that reduces stigma and encourages help-seeking behaviours.
- Facilitate a weekly well – being sessions with the safeguarding team.
- Contribute to college-wide initiatives, workshops, and campaigns that promote positive mental health, resilience, and emotional intelligence.

4. Professional Practice
- Adhere to ethical guidelines set by a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP) and uphold standards of best practice.

- Evaluate the impact and outcomes of counselling provision using appropriate tools and data.
- Provide monthly intervention and support reports to the Assistant Principal Learner Services and College DSL.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified counsellor or psychotherapist (minimum Level 4 diploma or equivalent).
- Registered member of a professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS).
- Experience of working with young people (16–18) and/or apprentices in an education or youth setting.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to student welfare.
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a further education or sixth-form environment.
- Familiarity with digital safeguarding risks and challenges faced by digitally engaged young people.
- Understanding of intersectional mental health needs (e.g., LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, BAME students).
