About the role

At EngineeringUK we use evidence to make a real difference. Through research insight and robust evaluation, we work to improve the impact of our own work, as well as that of other organisations in our sector. Our aim is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives and securing the diverse engineering and technology workforce the UK needs to thrive. The research and evaluation team consists of 6 researchers and analysts who work to provide these insights.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and to shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.

With support from the Head of Evaluation and Impact, you will be the operational lead on our evaluations, with responsibility for:

• critically assessing the evidence required to ascertain impact of engineering and technology outreach activities across a complex landscape, with an emphasis on groups historically underrepresented in the engineering and technology professions
• designing and managing the evaluation of our educational programmes, including the practicalities and logistics of collecting/analysing these data, and reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders
• working with colleagues to embed learning from evaluation findings into our future activities and the wider evidence base on the impact of engineering outreach activity
• developing advice and guidance on evaluation and impact measurement to support the engineering outreach community to evaluate their activity more robustly.
   

This job would ideally suit an experienced monitoring and evaluation professional interested in evaluating education programmes with a focus on increasing opportunities for young people from underrepresented groups.

Essential Skills / Competencies

• Knowledge of and experience in using evaluation techniques/practices, ideally with familiarity of education outreach programmes
• Ability to design and use quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and analyse these data using widely used analysis software (for example, SPSS, STATA, R, CAQDAS)
• Experience in undertaking literature searches and reviews, identifying relevant evidence, appraising its quality, and summarising the body of existing work

About the Role

As a Support Worker in our Housing First team, you’ll be a key point of contact for a small caseload of residents (approx. 6). You'll offer tailored, compassionate, housing-related and other person-centered support—enabling residents to articulate and achieve their goals, navigate systems, and rebuild their lives.

You’ll work closely with SCT’s internal services teams and external agencies to remove barriers, promote wellbeing, and champion the voice of each resident.

The role and your key responsibilities
 

As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.

You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week). Please note you will need to be based in Newcastle (or surrounding areas) for this role.

• Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

• Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and achieve a sky high resubscription rate.

• Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.

• Listen to teachers and students about how we can improve our customer service and the Unifrog platform.

• Attend conferences and run CPD events on behalf of Unifrog.

The Project for the Registration of Children as British Citizens (PRCBC) is seeking to recruit a part-time self-motivating and committed Administrator. About the Role

The position is permanent and part-time. It is for 3 days per week, for the right candidate. The postholder must be available to work one Saturday a month. A normal working week is 21 hours (3 days per week) to be worked between 09:30am to 5:30pm weekdays. There may be an opportunity to work from home once a week after probationary period.

The main tasks of the role include: maintaining effective communication and correspondence with our vulnerable young clients and booking appointments; overseeing and updating our case management system; administrative financial work, costs billing and creating invoices; and general administrative duties including filing, scanning, shredding, archiving, photocopying, creating e-bundles, preparing and taking post to the post office, completing forms, and requesting subject access disclosure and other information from third parties.

The role also requires the administrator to support, where necessary, the day-to-day administrative management of the office and PRCBC operations. This includes liaising with external stakeholders across a range of areas such as IT support and building management; supporting the maintenance and updating of operational procedures and practices; and completing ad-hoc administrative tasks, such as office supply procurement, as required.

To work effectively at PRCBC, it is necessary for the administrator to closely follow instructions, retain a professional approach throughout, and be highly focused and well organised, with excellent attention to detail.

Due to the varied nature of PRCBC’s work, the administrator participates in many aspects of the management, administrative and legal process, and interacts with a wide range of individuals, from solicitors and barristers to social workers and foster parents, alongside frequently vulnerable young clients and their carers. The administrator is therefore expected to manage a varied and evolving workload. The role and your key responsibilities
 

As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.

You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week). Please note you will need to be based in Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, or Wiltshire for this role.
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Work with schools and colleges to provide resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.
   

• Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.
   

• Work with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and achieve a sky high resubscription rate.
   

• Monitor and analyse usage across partner schools and colleges; identifying partners that need additional support to use the platform effectively.
   

• Listen to teachers and students about how we can improve our customer service and the Unifrog platform.
   

• Attend conferences and run CPD events on behalf of Unifrog.

Mayhew is an exceptionally special animal welfare charity, and we are looking for an equally special candidate to be our Canine Behaviourist.  Our team ensure that every dog and cat in our care receives the expert and personalised care s/he needs, delivered with the understanding, empathy, compassion and love that every dog and cat deserves. 

Our Home in North-West London accommodates our Kennels, Cattery, Veterinary Clinic and more. Our kennels house up to 15 dogs at any one time meaning that our Canine Behaviourist is able to truly get to know each dog as an individual and directly impact his or her outcomes. We are looking for a hands-on, practical, do-er who has the academic knowledge to understand rescue dogs and the practical experience in a shelter environment to design and deliver the training and wellbeing programmes required to create successful rehoming outcomes for each of those pets.

This role sits within the Kennels Team, reporting to the Head of Kennels. Being a team player, who is good with people as well as animals, is an incredibly important part of the skill set we’re looking for. At the same time, we need an energetic self-starter who can work under their own steam to ensure that every dog in our care is having the best day possible and is continuously progressing on his/her journey through Mayhew to a loving and happy forever home.

As you’ll already know from your prior experience, this role can be physically and emotionally demanding but it will also be hugely rewarding; and that is even more so at Mayhew where this post-holder can really help shape things and where we have a manageable number of dogs in our care. Our Canine Behaviourist will:

• Love dogs and be passionately committed to the achievement of each one’s best possible outcome
• In-take Assess all dogs coming into our care and be closely involved with the Head of Kennel’s in-take decisions (bearing in mind that Mayhew receives dogs from some challenging sources including hoarding and poor welfare environments, and dogs with no known history)
• Rehab Assess all dogs in our care to understand them in their current state and identify their training and behaviour-modification needs
• Design and implement their training and behaviour modification plans with support from our Clinical Animal Behaviourist, ensuring continuous improvement and sustained good welfare; being agile and humble enough to change plans when things aren’t working
• Coach and support the Kennel and Animal Carers so that they can help with the delivery of training and behaviour modification plans, helping them feel included and engaged, and embrace up-skilling;
• Ensure the health & safety of the Animal Carers and Volunteers whilst caring for the dogs in our care, having the knowledge, experience, strength and confidence to personally handle more challenging dogs and situations
• Design, and help the Kennel and Animal Carers to implement, individualised wellbeing and enrichment programmes to keep each dog physically and mentally healthy whilst they are with us and have the knowledge and prior experience to make each dog’s plan bespoke to them considering a variety of drivers including play styles, energy levels, sociability, guarding behaviours, preferences, and sources of frustration.
• Liaise with foster families caring for Mayhew dogs at the direction of the Head of Kennels as required
• Undertake each dog’s Rehoming Assessment, working with the Head of Kennels and Dog Adoption Officer to ensure the right rehoming criteria are set on an individual basis. We don’t take a computer-says-no approach, we want to move mountains to find each dog a successful home.
• Be involved in rehoming our longer staying dogs, including interviewing potential adopters
• Perform practical sessions with adopters as part of the rehoming process to ensure that training and behaviour techniques Mayhew has put in place successfully transfer with the dog to their new carer and environment
• Work in accordance with Mayhew’s policies and be experienced, responsible and compassionate to be fully involved in the tough decisions which sometimes face all rescues.
• Be up to date with the relevant UK legislation on dogs and safety
• Stay up to date with the fascinating and continually-developing science of canine behaviour and well-being

To be successful in this role, you need:

• Experience working hands-on with rescue dogs in the shelter environment
• At least 2 years’ experience within an applied canine behaviourist / rehabilitation role, working with dogs with differing behavioural challenges

Barnardo's are seeking a UK Policy & Public Affairs Manager. The postholder will lead a team of eight developing and delivering Barnardo's policy and public affairs activity across the four nations, using intelligence and feedback to plan and deliver influencing activity that delivers transformational change for children across the UK.

The role offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in delivering Barnardo's strategy. You will work closely with our policy advisors, frontline services, communications team, and our voice and influence team to bring the voices of children and young people to decision makers in order to make childhoods safer, healthier, happier, and more hopeful.

This role will be hybrid home / office based and will require travel to all four nations as required. We encourage applications from candidates based in one of the devolved nations. The position is offered on a Full time basis, but we are happy to discuss flexible working. The Project Manager/Business Analyst role forms part of the PMO Team. The role will include management of priority projects across the Stewardship agile change portfolio, as well as the analysis and improvement of business processes across Stewardship. The role will also work with our Technology team members to improve workflow, through identifying and resolving challenges and dependencies, enabling teams to more effectively deliver organisational priority projects and BAU activities. The successful delivery of projects and improving our business processes, is an essential part of enabling us to achieve our strategic objectives.

The role holder will work cross-functionally across the organisation to ensure we achieve our change targets, through delivering projects on time, to budget and required level of quality, as well as improving business processes across Stewardship Teams. You will be supporting the organisation to develop new agile, collaborative ways of working, and the role holder will need to help others understand the benefits of working within the Agile framework.
