Job Title: Field Care Supervisor
Location: South East London. The role is around 70% based within the community visiting participants and staff, then some home working and central office days in Islington as required. Kindly be aware that step free access is not available at our central office, and some of our other services.
Salary: £28,200 - Full time Equivalent
Shift Pattern: Fixed term contract till March with the potential for extension, 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a flexible rota between 08:00 - 20:00, including working on bank holidays and outside these hours as per service requirements.
About the role
We are looking for a Field Supervisor to lead a team who are dedicated and focused to providing support to our participants within the community. We provide person centred care and support to our participants within the community, homes, and residential properties. We support vulnerable adults to live more independently, offering friendly outreach that helps with housing, daily living, and building self reliance.
In this role, you'll:
- Be supporting the establishment of supporting staff and participants, doing assessments, working with partners, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly by carrying out quality checks.
- Line manage, lead and support your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service. Delivering the highest standards of quality, performance, and improvements across your service.
- Be responsible for ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance is completed, and support the Service Manager in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development
- Ensure Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Manage contract and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
About you

Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our participants, and can support the team in delivering excellence. Key responsibilities
Fundraising and income generation
- Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
- Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.
- Vision setting and strong line management of the Public Affairs team, developing their capabilities, representing the team at SMT and to the Board and ensuring it continues to make a valuable - and valued - contribution to the achievement of Impetus’s objectives, through building and implementing high quality work plans for the team and ensuring the wider Impetus team is aligned on these.
- Increase awareness, understanding and trust in Impetus among key stakeholders, through regular, thoughtful engagement with the sector and securing high profile media coverage.
- Raise awareness of the education and employment gaps faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and what we can do to break down the barriers they face - through research, policy positioning and effective communications.
- Build a positive reputation for Impetus in government and parliament and among funders, as a source of expertise on how to improve the education and employment outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and as a trusted interlocutor and partner, building on and leveraging the many relationships already established.
- Ensure that all advocacy is supported by high quality research and evidence, with our policy and research agenda well aligned to supporting the delivery of Impetus’ strategy.
- Ensure a positive media profile, continuing to build on the base established to build awareness among the media of Impetus’s expertise and content.

- Contribute to the successful performance of the Senior Management Team, and provide expert advice to them, as well as to Trustees, on all public affairs-related activities and in the implementation of the broader strategy, engaging with decisions and challenges across the organisation.
- Oversee the running of our Public Affairs Committee (PAC), leveraging their skills, expertise and influence for the good of Impetus.

Support Coordinator
We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the South of Tyne and Wear area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.
Position: S11317 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, South of Tyne and Wear. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Salary: Circa £16,440 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

The Role

About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
- A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.

- Ability to use basic Microsoft systems.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

Role Overview
The role of the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer is to maintain and build on the strong culture of safeguarding at Southwark Cathedral and carry out an effective safeguarding role as a key visible member of the Cathedral team. The role holder will promote awareness and understanding throughout the Cathedral community (staff, volunteers and worshippers) of the needs of children and vulnerable adults and actively promote the philosophy that their interests are paramount.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of Cathedral safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy and training. The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will make sure that safeguarding risks are appropriately managed and ensure that the Cathedral is applying any emerging national policies, procedures and best practice so that our ways of working continue to remain current.
NB: The successful applicant will play a leading role in the preparation for the upcoming INEQE safeguarding audit of Southwark Cathedral and Southwark Diocese scheduled June 2026. They will be supported in this aim by the appointed INEQE action group.
The role carries responsibility for safeguarding casework, including ensuring that allegations of abuse are promptly and appropriately handled, and where appropriate referred to the statutory authorities. Further, the role holder will effectively communicate and engage with survivors and victims of abuse.
The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will advise the Cathedral on all safeguarding matters ensuring that all advice is in line with the law, government guidance and national policy and guidance from the House of Bishops. They will be supported in their role by three experienced volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives who offer knowledge and experience of the cathedral. They will work collaboratively with peers in the Diocese and the National Safeguarding Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties
1. To lead the Cathedral’s work on the following National Standards:
· Organisational culture, leadership and capacity - Church bodies have safe and healthy cultures, effective leadership, resourcing and scrutiny arrangements necessary to deliver high-quality safeguarding practices and outcomes.
· Prevention - Church bodies have in place a planned range of measures which together are effective in preventing abuse in their context.
· Responding to and managing risk - Risk assessments, safety plans and associated processes are of a high quality and result in positive outcomes. The assessment and management of risk is underpinned by effective partnership working.
· Victims and survivors - Victims and survivors experience the timeliness and quality of Church bodies' responses to disclosures, and their subsequent support, as positively meeting their needs, including their search for justice and helping their healing process.
· Learning, supervision and support – All those engaged in safeguarding-related activity in Church bodies receive the type and level of learning, professional development, support and supervision necessary to respond to safeguarding situations, victims and survivors, and respondents, effectively.
2. To provide in person safeguarding training for Cathedral volunteers & staff.
3. To work closely with the Director of Music and the Sub-Dean to ensure that the children and young people in the cathedral choirs and Sunday school are effectively safeguarded
4. To be responsible for recording, investigating and managing all Safeguarding concerns;
5. To assist the CSL with production of monthly and annual safeguarding reports and to attend Chapter (as required) and Committee Meetings (as directed).
6. To assist in the production of risk assessments, policies and procedures where there are safeguarding aspects to them.
7. To provide advice in relation to obtaining criminal record checks (DBSs) for staff and volunteers.
8. To work collaboratively with the National Safeguarding Team (NST) and other Church of England Safeguarding Officers and attend national safeguarding events and activities as required.
9. To engage in professional supervision and quality assurance provided by the relevant NST Regional Safeguarding Lead.

Data entry

Sue Ryder is seeking a proactive and experienced Supporter Services Team Leader to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in donation processing, financial reconciliation, and managing a team, this is your chance to make a real impact.
Supporting our Fundraising Directorate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring donation compliance, driving income processing efficiency, and leading a team to success. You'll work closely with the Supporter Services & Standards Manager to deliver strategic initiatives that support our mission.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead donation compliance: Oversee best practices and Gift Aid operations, ensuring donations are processed in line with standards, including for third-party platforms.
- Manage income processing & financial reconciliation: Take ownership of the financial reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and transparency in income management.
- Team Leadership: Line manage the income processing side of the Supporter Services & Standards team, supporting their development and fostering a high-performance culture.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in supporter or customer care, particularly in donation processing and financial reconciliation.
- Leadership skills: Proven ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team to achieve goals.
- A passion for impact: A desire to contribute to the success of our fundraising efforts, and to help deliver strategic goals that support Sue Ryder’s mission.
- Proactive mindset: Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement in donation management.
