The Role
In this role, you will support the Finance Manager in providing a proactive, efficient, and highly effective finance service across the Diocesan Board of Finance and Trust custodian company, as well as supporting the larger finance team who look after the Board of Education.
The role will be diverse, starting with managing the day-to-day functions but also assisting in all areas of the finance function, including bank reconciliations, VAT, forecasting and reporting.
You will play a key role within a Finance department totalling 9 staff, with input into the future running and design of how the department continues to move forward and grow.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated accountant or trainee accountant (or a financially astute individual with relevant experience) to join the friendly team in the Finance function. You will embrace the challenge that such a varied role brings.
With proven experience in producing timely, high-quality and accurate financial information, your ‘can-do’ approach to work will inspire you to deliver excellent, meaningful financial reports that will have high impact for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.
This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
- Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
- Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
- Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
- Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
- Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.

This is an exciting opportunity to get out and about in the local communities, raising awareness of the wide variety of services that we offer to victims of crime across West Mercia.

- To develop and coordinate a range of engagement and promotion activities aligned to the priorities of the local service.

The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. As a Visitor Support Officer, you will provide excellent customer service to visitors by responding to phone calls, emails and face-to-face interactions at the reception desk at our headquarters in Hyde Park.
Alongside the Visitor Support team, you will triage and answer visitor support enquiries, ensuring accurate record keeping of relevant information via our CRM and other internal systems, ensuring key visitor feedback is acknowledged, and investigating and responding to complaints, escalating where necessary to support an effective and timely resolution.
Whilst working at the reception desk at our HQ building, you will manage face-to-face interactions with external and internal colleagues and park visitors, as well as performing building administrative tasks.
About You

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. The Role

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager the successful candidate will support in the delivery of the Individual Giving strategy, programme and associated campaigns. The trusts fundraising officer will report to the trusts dunfraising manager.

The Role
