As our chief strategy and governance officer, you’ll report directly to the chief executive and play a key leadership role as part of Sense’s chief officers’ group. Service delivery

• Lead the day-to-day management of Ella’s safe houses, and outreach services

• Ensure all caseworkers provide high-quality, holistic support tailored to each woman’s needs

• Ensure casework systems are used consistently and effectively across the team

• Oversee accurate and timely completion of risk assessments, support plans, and case notes

• Provide emotional support and hands-on casework guidance where needed

• Coordinate referrals and ensure women are welcomed into the service with care and dignity

• Lead regular reviews of support plans to ensure women are progressing through recovery stages

Team management

Service development and partnerships

About the role

Last year we launched a new website which provides independent online information, advice and support for kinship carers. This year, we’re continuing to develop new advice and information content for the website, as well as working on content for projects that focus on supporting kinship carers.

The postholder will research, create and deliver engaging, user-focused content, and deliver a seamless user content experience throughout all content development. Working with kinship carers and subject matter experts will be a big part of your role. 

You will be working on content in a range of formats, including web copy, printed guides, presentations for training, workshop materials (digital and printed), video and more.

One day you could be carrying out research with kinship carers, on another you could be doing paired writing with a subject matter expert to explain the different types of kinship care.

Specifically, as Finance and Operations Officer, reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA), your remit will include:

• accounts receivable/payable, credit control, reconciliations, and audit preparation;

Key requirements include:

The Role

Reporting into our Customer and Neighbourhood Director, you'll be responsible for the development of strategies, policies and procedures relating to all tenancy sustainment activities. Being a specialist in this field, you'll also scan the horizon to identify potential significant changes in external policy and financial landscape, introducing best practice from other organisations and sectors.

You'll be the main point of contact internally for all matters relating to tenancy sustainment, working collaboratively across the business to ensure that consistent best practices are embedded within Locality teams and the wider business. Externally, you'll represent SNG and our commitment and vision in tenancy sustainment – influencing and working alongside key external stakeholders and delivery partners, building relationships aligned to our corporate and customer strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide and source expert advice, and manage the development of services, to ensure SNG meets its commitments, monitors its performance and evidences its delivery relating to regulatory obligations, changing regulations, guidance and best practice
• Developing and leading a stakeholder management plan across local, regional and national government bodies responsible for the delivery to specialist areas
• Piloting partnerships with other services to enhance the provision of support to SNG's customers and developing funding solutions to provide support to core budgets
• Managing large complex annual budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures and levels of approval
• Ensuring that the appropriate training and development programs for Locality teams are in place across a range of areas, including domestic abuse, safeguarding and ASB
• Leading on all strategic and operational elements of service development across localities; proactively involving customers through engagement and scrutiny, to help shape and facilitate the co-creation of the service as required  
• Articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and promoting a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement

What we need from you

Ideally you should have previous experience in a similar senior role, with strong experience and knowledge of the latest requirements for housing providers across tenancy sustainment.  You'll also need:

• Excellent demonstrable knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a customer focussed environment
• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks
• Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation
• Experience of promoting an organisation at a regional and national level to raise the profile of the business
• Ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance
• Track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment
• To have strong people skills and be an effective communicator, able to influence and challenge
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite with intermediate or advanced excel skills
• Membership of a professional body – CIH

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College coordinator to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will work closely with the Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing Manager to develop a high quality college offer to the residents of Bromley. The role comes with the responsibility to provide day to day support and guidance to a team of tutors and volunteer co-facilitators to ensure efficient delivery of the college.

You will have experience of working in a busy fast-paced environment. Working autonomously but also as part of a team is key, as are problem solving and excellent organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is also required. You will work closely with other SEL Mind colleagues as well as our Bromley Mental Health Hub partners Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Hybrid working is considered in line with our policies and needs of the service. Occasional out-of-hours work is required to support with the delivery of courses running outside of core office hours.

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
• Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

The post-holder will be the custodian of a safe culture, ensuring that it aligns with the global culture programme and overall people strategy and be the organisation's safeguarding and security ambassador and expert, acting both internally and externally as a thought leader, challenging appropriately and bringing external expertise to Christian Aid.
